Factors associated with parental intention to vaccinate their preschool children against COVID-19: a cross-sectional survey in urban area of Jakarta, Indonesia

  • Purpose: We reported a survey-based study assessing the parental intention to vaccinate children of 5 to 7 years old against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The aim of this study is to assess factors influencing the parental intention to vaccinate their children against COVID-19. Materials and Methods: This study adopted a cross-sectional design, held at the public health center of Senen district, Jakarta, Indonesia from November 1-30, 2022. The off-line questionnaires were distributed via the school administrator to all eligible parents. Factors associated with intention to vaccinate were analyzed with the regression logistic models. Results: Of the 435 parents in this study, 215 had already vaccinated their children against COVID-19 (49.4%), and the overall intention of the participants to vaccinate was 69.7%. Factors associated with intention to vaccinate the children against COVID-19 were parental employment status, parental COVID-19 vaccine status and concern of contracting COVID-19. Parents who are employed, had completed vaccines with COVID-19 booster vaccine, and had concern of their children contracting COVID-19 were more likely to vaccinate their children (odds ratio [OR], 2.10; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.22-3.69; p=0.011; OR, 2.15; 95% CI, 1.21-3.83; p=0.013; OR, 2.40; 95% CI, 1.34-4.30; p=0.004, respectively). Concern on the vaccine's side effects was negatively associated with the willingness to vaccinate. Conclusion: This study showed that childhood COVID-19 vaccine only covered half of the population, with parental intentions for childhood COVID-19 vaccination being high, reaching almost two-thirds of the study participants. Factors influencing parental intentions were employment status, parental COVID-19 vaccine status, concerns about COVID-19 and concerns about vaccine side effects.

중학교 "환경" 교과의 교수.학습 및 평가 방법 연구 (A Study on Teaching-Learning and Evaluation Methods of Environmental Studies in the Middle School)

  • This study was performed to determine appropriate teaching-learning and evaluation methods for Environmental Studies. To promote the relevance of our study to the needs of the schools and concerned educational communities of environmental education, we reviewed related literature, conducted questionnaire surveys, interviewed related teachers and administrator, held meetings with experts, and field-tested our findings. For selecting and developing teaching-learning methods of Environmental Studies, findings of educational research in general are considered. moreover, principles of environmental education, general aim of environmental education, orientations of environmental education, and developmental stages of middle school students in educational psychology were attended. In addition, relevance to the purpose of the Environmental Studies curriculum, appropriateness for value inquiry as well as knowledge inquiry, small group centered class organization, social interaction centered teaching-learning process, regional environmental situation, significance of personal environment, evaluation methods of Environmental Studies, multi- and inter-disciplinary contents of the Environmental Studies textbook, suitability to the evaluation methods of Environmental Studies, and emphasis on the social interaction in teaching-learning process were regarded. It was learned the Environmental Studies can be taught most effectively in via of holding discussion sessions, conducting actual investigation, doing experiment-practice, doing games and plate, role-playing and carrying out simulation activities, and doing inquiry. These teaching-learning methods were field-tested and proved appropriate methods for the subject. For selecting and developing evaluation method of Environmental Studies, such principles and characteristics of Environmental Studies as objective domains stated in the Environmental Studies curriculum, diversity of teaching-learning organization, were appreciated. We categorized nine evaluation methods: the teacher may conduct questionnaire surveys, testings, interviews, non-participatory observations; they may evaluate student's experiment-practice performances, reports preparation ability, ability to establish a research project, the teacher may ask the students to conduct a self-evaluation, or reciprocal evaluation. To maximize the effect of these methods, we further developed an application system. It considered three variables, that is, evaluates, evaluation objectives domains, and evaluation agent, and showed how to choose the most appropriate methods and, when necessary, how to combine uses of different methods depending on these variables. A sample evaluation instrument made on the basis of this application system was developed and tested in the classes. The system proved effective. Pilot applications of the teaching-learning methods and evaluation method were made simultaneously; and the results and their implications are as follows. Discussion program was applied in a lesson dealing with the problems of waste disposal, in which students showed active participation and creative thinking. The evaluation method used in this lesson was a multiple-choice written test for knowledge and skills. It was shown that this evaluation method and device are effective in helping students' revision of the lesson and in stimulating their creative interpretations and responces. Pupils showed great interests in the actual investigation program, and this programme was proved to be effective in enhancing students' participation. However, it was also turned out that there must be pre-arranged plans for the objects, contents and procedures of survey if this program is to effective. In this lesson, non-participatory observation methods were used with a focus on the attitudes of students. A scaled reported in general description rather than in grade. Experiment-practice programme was adopted in a lesson for purifying contaminated water and in this lesson, instruction objectives were properly established, the teaching-learning process was clearly specified and students were highly motivated. On the other hand, however, it was difficult to control the class when some groups of students require more times to complete their experiment, and sometimes different results. As regards to evaluation, performance observation test were used for assessing skills and attitudes. If teachers use well-prepared Likert scale, evaluation of all groups within a reasonablely short period of time will be possible. The most effective and successful programme in therms of students' participation and enjoyment, was the 'ah-nah-bah-dah-market' program, which is kind of game of the flea market. For better organized program of this kind, however, are essential, In this program, students appraise their own attitudes and behavior by responding to a written questionnaire. In addition, students were asked to record any anecdotes relating to self-appraisal of changes on one's own attitudes and behaviours. Even after the lesson, students keep recording those changes on letters to herself. Role-playing and simulation game programme was applied to a case of 'NIMBY', in which students should decide where to located a refuse dumping ground. For this kind of programme to e successful, concepts and words used in the script should be appropriate for students' intellectual levels, and students should by adequately introduced into the objective and the procedures of the lessons. Written questionnaire was used to assess individual students' attitudes after the lesson, but in order to acquire information on the changes of students' attitudes and skills, pre-test may have to be made. Doing inquiry programme, in which advantages in which students actually investigated the environmental influence of the areas where school os located, had advantages in developing students' ability to study the environmental problems and to present the results of their studies. For this programme to be more efficient, areas of investigation should be clearly divided and alloted to each group so that repetition or overlap in areas of study and presentation be avoided, and complementary wok between groups bee enhanced. In this programme, teacher assessed students' knowledge and attitudes on the basis of reports prepared by each group. However, there were found some difficults in assessing students' attitudes and behaviours solely on the grounds of written report. Perhaps, using a scaled checklist assessing students' attitudes while their presentation could help to relieve the difficulties.

중·소규모 공정안전관리 사업장의 웹 전산시스템 개발 (A Development of Facility Web Program for Small and Medium-Sized PSM Workplaces)

  • 중·소규모 사업장에서 중대산업사고가 발생되고 있는 원인 중 하나는 공정안전관리(PSM) 체계를 이해하고 적용하는데 관련 지식 및 정보 부족이다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 PSM에 대한 실질적이며 지속적인 이행 수준을 확보하고 추적관리를 통해 인적오류를 제거할 수 있는 프로토콜이 뒷받침되어야 하나 그동안 이에 대한 연구가 미흡하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고용노동부 고시의 규정과 전국 300인 미만 중·소규모 PSM 사업장 200여 개사를 대상으로 행정처분 위반 사례를 조사·분석하였다. 이를 기반으로 설비유지관리 웹프로그램을 개발하여 중·소규모 사업장의 인적오류 제거를 통한 중대산업사고예방에 기여하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로그램 접근 편의성을 위해 스마트 기기에서 QR코드를 통해 웹에 접속하여 설비의 제원 검색 기능, 고장 사유, 사진을 확인함으로써 실시간 점검, 정비요청을 할 수 있게 하였다. 둘째, 변경 대상 파악, 위험성 평가, 작업자 교육, 가동 전 점검을 프로그램과 연계하여 작업 시작 전부터 종료까지 모든 절차를 관리자가 추적관리 가능하도록 하였다. 셋째, 작업 완료 후 개선된 사진과 함께 수리, 시간, 비용 등을 등록하여 축적된 자료를 기반으로 설비의 수명 예측과 신뢰성을 검증하게 하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 중·소규모 PSM 사업장에게 실질적이고 체계적인 운영에 도움이 될 수 있으며 향후 정부 주도로 중·소규모 PSM 사업장을 대상으로 스마트팩토리 구축 시 설비유지관리 웹프로그램을 개발하여 보급하는데 유용하게 활용되리라 판단된다.

비정규 과학교육 활동에 대한 초등 현직 교사와 기업 교사의 인식: '주니어 공학기술 교실' 사례를 중심으로 (Elementary School Teachers' and Company Teachers' Recognitions of the Informal Science Education Activity: 'Korea Junior Engineering Achievement' Case)

  • 최근 연구에 따르면 학생들의 진로 선택에서 비정규학습이 정규학습 못지않게 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다양한 형태의 비정규 과학교육 활동이 시행되고 있는 가운데, 2004년 국내에서는 한국공학 한림원을 중심으로 기업의 공학 기술인이 학교 현장에 찾아가 학생들과 함께 과학 실험, 공작 활동을 하는 것이 새롭게 시도되었다. 이러한 '주니어 공학기술 교실' 사업은 한국공학한림원에서 과학기술자에 대한 올바른 인식과 첨단 과학기술에 대한 이해 증진을 위해 민간주도로 지역의 과학기술자가 초${\cdot}$중등 학교를 직접 방문하여 과학기술 교육을 지원하는 형식으로 시행되고 있다. 2004년 현재 대기업과 중소기업 17개 기업이 참여하고 있다. 주니어 공학기술교실에서는 공학 기술인이 학생을 가르치는 교사(이하 기업 교사)로, 현직 교사는 기업 교사와 학교 현장을 중계하는 매개자 역할을 하게 된다. 새롭게 시도되는 비정규 과학 활동이라는 점에서 이 프로그램의 직접적인 운영자인 기업 교사와 이를 바라보는 학교 현직 교사의 인식은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 비정규 학습에 대한 현직 교사와 기업 교사의 인식을 조사함으로써, 기업 교사가 학교 현장에 참여하는 비정규 과학교육 활동에 대한 시사점을 알아보고자 하였다. 설문과 현장 수업 참관을 통해 조사한 결과, 기업 교사와 현장 교사 모두 본 사업의 취지에 공감하였으며, 사업의 시행 결과에 매우 만족한 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 일부 기업 교사는 교재와 교구, 학교와 기업의 협조 분위기에 불만족을 나타내기도 하였다. 또한 현장 교사와 기업 교사 모두 프로그램의 적절성이 주니어 공학기술 교실과 길은 비정규 과학교육 사업의 성공과 실패를 좌우한다고 생각하였다. '주니어 공학기술 교실'과 같은 비정규 과학교육 활동이 효과적으로 시행되고 사회적으로 확산되기 위해서는 적절한 프로그램의 개발 노력이 무엇보다 중요하며, 학교와 현직 교사 등 교육계의 적극적인 수용 및 활용 의지가 더욱 필요한 것으로 보인다.

간호사가 지각하는 간호조직문화와 조직몰입간의 관계 분석 (Analysis of Relationship between Nursing Organization Culture and Organizational Commitment)

  • Nursing organization culture is common patterns of believing, thinking and behaving resulted from a variety of experiences and interaction nurses in the same setting. This study was performed based on the assumption of existence of different subcultures within meta-culture, to identify the differences of subculture among 5 nursing units and to analyze the relationship between nursing organization culture and organizational commitment In this study, two kinds of instruments were used. One was the instrument of nursing organization culture developed by researcher through literature review and interview with nurses. The other one was Mowday's Organizational Commitment Questionnaire to measure organizational commitment of nurses. Both of them were structured with 5 scale. The answers were analyzed using SPSS program. The results were as follows : The meta-culture of the nursing organization culture was the people stable culture. There were significant differences in people development culture and people stable culture among 5 nursing units and all 5 units had different culture score. Especially, emergency room had strong development culture, and stable culture was dominant in operating room. Other units except emergency room and operating room had high scores in people stable culture than other culture types, but revealed different distribution. There were significant differences of the nursing organizational culture types -people development, task development, people stable, task stable-among 5 units. Four types of nursing organizational culture consisted of competing values in one organization. Nurses's organizational commitments were sign ificantly different among the units. The score per ceived by nurses who work in emergency room, operating room and leu was higher commitment score than that of medical/surgical nursing units Nurse's commitment to nursing organization was also related to total work period as nurse in any setting and work period in this hospital. Organizational commitment was significantly different among the nursing culture types, indicating that the scores of developmental culture were higher than stable culture. In conclusion, there were many different subcultures in nursing organization. In subculture, the organizational commitment was different. Therefore, the change of nursing organization culture or nursing unit culture needs to be considered to hire, give orientation, teach. and reallocate nurses efficiently. Research on nursing organization culture using both qualitative and quantitative method needs to be further considered. Furthermore, the strategy in nursing organization culture for nursing administrator to manage human resources efficiently and to change nursing unit effectively, needs to be developed.

부랑인복지시설 종사자들의 인권민감성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Human Rights Sensitivity of Employees in the Vagabond Facilities)

  • 본 연구는 부랑인복지시설 종사자들의 인권의식의 정도를 파악할 수 있는 인권민감성을 조사함으로써 그들의 인권의식을 살펴보고 부랑인복지시설 생활인의 인권의식 향상을 위한 기초 자료로 활용함을 목적으로 하였다. 전국 38개 부랑인복지시설 종사자 390명의 인권민감성을 비교 조사하였다. 그 결과, 종사자들의 인권민감성은 총점 150점에 평균 64.55점으로 매우 낮은 점수를 나타냈다. 종사자들의 학력별 인권민감성은 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있었으며, 직책별 인권민감성에서 실질적인 운영자들의 인권에 대한 의식이 매우 낮게 나타났다. 부랑인복지시설 내에서의 인권교육 유무별에서는 인권교육을 받은 경우가 그렇지 못한 경우에 비해 유의하게 인권민감성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부랑인복지시설 내의 인권교육을 정규 커리큘럼으로 일괄적으로 시행할 수 있는 프로그램이 정례화 되어야 하고 종사자들의 효율적이고 실질적인 인권침해상황과 관련된 사례나열식 인권교육 매뉴얼의 개발이 필요함을 제언하였다.

Railway Governance and Power Structure in China

  • Over the last $15{\sim}20$years, many countries have adopted policies of railway privatization to keep up with increasing competition from road and air transport. Although each country and case has its own history, market characteristics, political context as well as administrative process, railway privatizations (including railway restructure, concession etc.) in the west usually are accompanied with the establishment of new regulatory regimes. Therefore, railway governance has been innovating towards an interaction of government, regulator, industry bodies, user groups, trade unions and other interested groups within the regulatory framework. However, it is not the case in China. Although China had seen a partial privatization in some branch lines and is experiencing a much larger-scale privatization by establishing joint-ventures to build and operate high-speed passenger lines and implementing an asset-based securitization program, administrative control still occupies absolutely dominant position in the railway governance in China. Ministry of Railway (MOR) acts as the administrator, operator as well as regulator. There is no national policy that clearly positions railway in the transportation network and clarifies the role of government in railway development. There is also little participation from interested groups in the railway policy making, pricing, service standard or safety matter. Railway in China is solely governed by the mere executive agency. Efficiency-focused economic perspective explanation is far from satisfaction. A wider research perspective from political and social regime is of great potential to better explain and solve the problem. In the west, separation and constrains of power had long been established as a fundamental rule. In addition to internal separation of political power(legislation, execution and jurisdiction), rise of corporation in the 19th century and association revolution in the 20th century greatly fostered the growth of economic and social power. Therefore, political, social and economic organizations cooperate and compete with each other, which leads to a balanced and resonable power structure. While in China, political power, mainly party-controlled administrative power has been keeping a dominated position since the time of plan economy. Although the economic reform promoted the growth of economic power of enterprises, it is still not strong enough to compete with political power. Furthermore, under rigid political control, social organizations usually are affiliated to government, independent social power is still too weak to function. So, duo to the limited and slow reform in political and social regime in China, there is an unbalanced power structure within which political power is dominant, economic power expanding while social power still absent. Totally different power structure in China determines the fundamental institutional environment of her railway privatization and governance. It is expected that the exploration of who act behind railway governance and their acting strength (a power theory) will present us a better picture of railway governance as a relevant transportation mode. The paper first examines the railway governance in China and preliminarily establishes a linkage between railway governance and its fundamental institutional environment, i.e. power structure in a specific country. Secondly, the reason why there is no national policy in China is explored in the view of political power. In China, legislative power is more symbolic while party-controlled administrative power dominates political process and plays a fundamental role in Chinese railway governance. And then, in the part three railway finance reform is analyzed in the view of economic power, esp. the relationship of political power and economic power.

안전한 그리드 응용을 위한 정책기반의 보안 기능 설계 (Design of a Policy-based Security Mechanism for the Secure Grid Applications)

  • 그리드 시스템의 SKY@Home에 적용된 통합 보안 모듈은 보안 기술을 좀 더 보완함으로써 그리드 시스템에 최적화된 보안모듈을 개발함으로써 보안성을 향상시켰다. 그러나, 현재 구현된 통합 보안 모듈은 Firewall, IDS, 바이러스 등을 제공하는 통합 모듈이지만 생성된 로그분석이나 룰 편집이 수작업으로 이루어져 관리자의 역할이 중요하게 작용된다. 따라서 관리자의 작업 처리가 원활하게 이루어지지 않을 경우 자원제공 PC들은 최신의 자료를 업데이트하기가 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 자료를 자동 갱신 하는 방법을 개선할 필요가 있다. 제안모델의 안전한 그리드 응용을 위한 정책기반 시스템의 자원제공 PC는 통합 보안 모듈을 적용함으로써 외부의 침입으로부터 클라이언트가 손쉽게 보안 기술을 활용하여 대처할 수 있다. 또한 자원제공 PC에서 사용되는 통합 보안 모듈은 추가적인 장비의 구입, 설치, 추가 비용이 없으므로 구현 비용이 현재 사용되는 보안 기술보다 적게 소요된다. 기존 제안방식에서 제공되는 다양한 기법으로 인한 시스템 자원 낭비를 줄이고자 그리드시스템에 최적화되도록 제안 시스템을 자원제공 PC에 적용함으로써 유효자원이 기존 방식보다 최대 20% 증가할 수 있어 침입탐지 및 예방, 바이러스 치료등의 절차에 따라 악의적 공격을 대처하는 동시에 시스템의 가용성, 신뢰성, 무결성 및 기밀성이 전체적으로 향상됨을 보였다.

4차 산업혁명 시대를 대비한 중등진로전담교사들의 교육요구도 분석 (Analysis of the Educational Needs of Secondary Career Teachers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era)

  • 이 연구는 도래하고 있는 4차 산업혁명 시대를 대비해 요구되는 중등 진로전담교사의 효과적인 진로지도 역량 강화를 위해 요구되는 전문성에 대한 인식과 교육요구는 어떠한지를 탐색하고 구체적인 필요 교육내용을 추출해 기초자료로 제공하기 위함이었다. 이러한 연구목적에 따라 선행연구들을 통해, 중등 진로전담교사들에게 요구되는 요구역할(8개), 요구역량(20개), 그리고 요구역량별 전문성 강화를 위한 교육내용(23개)을 도출하였고, 이를 기반으로 설문지를 구성하여, 217명으로부터 유효응답을 회수하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 역할별, 교육내용 항목별 현재수준과 중요수준 간의 통계적 유의미한 평균 간 차이를 확인하는 t검정을 실시한 결과, 역할별에서는 '행정운영자' 역할을 제외한 전 역할에서, 세부 교육내용에서는 전 항목에서 t 값이 통계적으로 유의미하고 높은 t 값 분포를 확인하였다. 둘째, Borich 요구도 산출공식을 활용한 요구도 값 산출 및 우선순위를 파악한 결과, 전체적으로 t 값과 Borich 요구도 간에는 방향성은 일치하였다. 셋째, The Locus for Focus 모델을 활용한 우선순위 도출 결과, 전체 5개(중학교 7개, 고등학교 2개)의 교육내용이 우선순위로 도출되었다. 넷째, 차순위로 중학교 3개, 고등학교 5개를 도출하여 포함하였다. 끝으로 교육내용들과 실제적 교육 필요성과의 관련성은 어떠한지 확인하였다. 그리고 이 연구는 기존 4차 산업혁명 관련 주제와 진로지도 관련 주제의 분절 현상으로 인해 선행자료가 거의 없어 여러 한계와 제한점이 있음에도 불구하고, 향후 중등 진로전담교사의 시대 요구 적응을 위한 교육연수 프로그램 개발 및 다양한 후속 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대하며 몇 가지 제언을 하고 있다.

보건의료 빅데이터를 활용한 보건행정 교육프로그램 실무수업에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Practical Classes for Healthcare Administration Education Program Using Health and Medical Big Data)

  • 본 연구는 보건의료빅데이터를 활용한 보건의료행정 관련학과에서 빅데이터 관련 교육프로그램 활용 가능성에 대한 고찰이다. 본 논문에서는 크게 5가지 관점으로 보건의료빅데이터를 고찰하고자 한다. 첫째, '보건의료빅데이터개방시스템' 이외에도 '한국복지패널', '공공빅데이터', '서울시', '통계청' 등에서 공개하고 있는 공공빅데이터의 특징 및 활용기술에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 둘째, 해당되는 보건의료 빅데이터를 전문대학 보건의료행정 및 보건의료정보 관련학과의 정규과목 내에서 살아있는 데이터로써 활용이 가능한지에 대한 적정성 여부를 살펴보고자 한다. 셋째, 기존에 활용하고 있는 통계처리패키지 및 프로그래밍 언어를 활용한 실습실 강의 여부에 가장 적절한 툴을 선정하고자 한다. 넷째, 검증된 보건의료빅데이터와 적정 툴을 활용하여 수업에서 그래프 등의 표현가능성 여부 및 보고서 작성까지의 단계를 시험해보고자 한다. 마지막으로, 최종적으로 휴대성, 설치성, 비용성, 호환성, 빅데이터처리가능성 등을 만족할 수 있는 R언어의 상대적 이점을 기술하고자 한다.
