The purpose of this study was to suggest the improvement of the Mountainous Landscape Impact Review(MLIR) system for the conservation and eco-friendly use of mountain scenery. In order to understand the status of the MLIR system, a comparative analysis was conducted of the MLIR official guidelines and the 100 MLIR reports submitted to the Korea Forest Service from 2011 to 2013. In addition, an Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) was conducted to take into account stakeholder opinions and to determine the first priorities to be improved upon in operation and functions of the MLIR system. The results of the IPA in evaluating the MLIR system showed that the components in the MLIR system that should be primarily improved are mountainous landscape resource inventory, objective and quantitative selection of viewpoints, and a checklist for examining the damage expected in mountainous lands. To Revitalize the Mountainous Landscape Impact Review system, the professional knowledge and experience of the stakeholders should be enhanced by education and training in the MLIR system over the short-term, while the effective functioning of the MLIR system should be reinforced by differentiation and connectivity of the MLIR system with similar institutions, and by emphasizing the uniqueness and properties of mountainous landscapes over the long-term.

This study (II) aims to draw up the future-oriented construction policy recommendations based on the outcomes as a result of a broad research and conducting questionnaire surveys on the arguable issues raised by construction engineers for roads and bridges in the course of previous study (I) implementation. As for the question of "The term 'Construction Management (CM)' which currently is defined in two (2) ways", 45% of respondents have answered that two (2) different types of CM should be unified into one (1) CM type as is the case in most advanced countries. About the question of "The ways to educate the CM professionals", many respondents have preferred to acquire CM professional certificate after receiving education for a certain period of time from private CM training institutions. As for the question of The revised draft that the ICEC grade of special engineers for design, construction and quality control areas shall be "more than 78 points from a more than 75 points by the original draft." 52% of respondents preferred to maintain the original draft. About the question of "The reason why the CM system has not been working well yet." 62% of respondents have answered that the staff members who are in charge of handling public project procurements are concerned about the fact that their roles (or activities) might be deprived as a result of CM adoption. In order for the CM system to be activated, based on the notion that the construction projects must be out soured, the reshuffle of the headquarter organization of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (MLIT) should be preceded.
This paper presents an intuitive 3D modeling interlace based on a field study and prototype development. The process and tools of modeling were observed in workshops of professional design model making, day modeling, wood caning and glass crafting. The Spray Modeling interlace was developed from the observational analysis of the field study. It is a 3D modeling interface which combines particle spraying and day modeling in Virtual or Augmented Reality space. Virtual volume particles are sprayed on frames in Augmented Reality space as day modeling. It adopts a real air spay gun as a tangible interface device which provides coherent sound and air-force feedback. The prototype development and a user study showed that the interface supports new patterns of form development and expression. Control interfaces and requirements of auxiliary devices were found to be improved. This study examines the potential of the new interlace for designers working in 3D virtual and augmented reality. The new spraying interface is also expected to be used as an alternative interface in 3D computer workspace, games, education software and media art.
The purpose of this study was to analyze teachers' pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) about area of plane figure and how it was actualized in instruction. As an exploratory, qualitative, and comparative case study, 2 fifth-grade teachers were selected. Semi-structured interviews with the leachers were conducted in order to explore their PCK with regard to the area of plane figure. A total of 14 mathematics instructions were videotaped and transcribed. Teachers' PCK and classroom teaching practices were analyzed in detail into 3 categories: (a) knowledge of mathematics contents, (b) knowledge of students' understanding, and (c) knowledge of instructional methods. As such, this paper provided a detailed description on each teacher's PCK and her teaching practice. The results showed that teachers' PCK had a significant impact on instruction. The teacher who had rich knowledge about the area of plane figure was able to encourage students to understand the concept of area and to or explore the principles behind formula calculating various areas of plane geometry. The results demonstrated the importance of individual components of PCK as well as that of overall level of PCK. Different aspects of teaching practices were observed as to how the teachers had internalized PCK. On the basis of a close relationship between teachers' PCK and their teaching practice, this paper finally raised several implications for teachers' professional development for effective mathematics instruction.
The purpose of this study is to investigate of mental health professionals regarding job burnout, emotional labor and mental health by verifying the moderating effect of resilience. Results from analyzing 1,020 mental health professionals(certified people with 1st, 2nd grade licence in nursing, social welfare, and psychology) collected in the academic service studies by the National Mental Health Education Research Center in 2014 showed that job burnouts and emotional labor both had negative correlation with mental health, but in cases of analyzing moderating effects in resilience, only job burnout presented significant results. Accordingly, the results indicated that resilience could buffer the danger of mental health of mental health workers from job burnouts and emotional laboring. This study shows that it is important to care about the mental health of not only the people who receive mental health care services, but also the mental health care professionals who provide services. It also shows that the research has to be conducted with convergence considering both sides. Measures regarding the mental health care of mental health professionals were further discussed based on the results of this study.
The purpose of this study were to determine causes of low back pain in bus drivers who usually work in prolonged sitting position and to find the relationship of back pain with general characteristics and work environmental characteristics, stress symptoms, to com맹re lordosis angle of habitual driving posture and resting posture in low back pain group and non-low back pain group, and to use this result as a basis for improvement of work environment and comprehensive rehabilitative management of low back pain. Ninety-eight bus drivers were selected from the membership of an urban transit union in Seoul. These informations were collected from May 1, 1997 to May 25, 1997 by means of structured questionnaires and X-ray findings. These data were analyzed by $x^2$ test, t-test, logistic regression using SAS. The major results were as follows: 1. Of the respondents, 66.3% of bus drivers were found to be experiencing back pain. 2. Of the respondents of low back pain groups, 78.5% reported that major cause of low back pain was due to prolonged sitting. 3. The group with experiences of frequent or continuous vibration had more low back pain (p<0.05). There were no significant differences among other work environmental factors. 4. Average stress score was significantly higher in the group with low back pain than in the group without low back pain (p<0.05). 5. The results of the logistic regression analyses were statistically significant vibration from seat and stress score among the risk factors (p<0.05). 6. Averaged lordosis angle of habitual driving posture was $7.6{\pm}14.9$ degrees in low back pain group, $16.5{\pm}8.7$ degrees in non-low back pain and averaged lordosis angle of resting sitting posture was $10.8{\pm}13.7$ degrees in low back pain, $18.9{\pm}9.6$ degrees in non-low back pain group but the difference in mean lordosis angles of two groups was not statistically significant. The results of this study indicate that professional drivers developed chronicity of low back pain due to unfit seat, poor habitual posture and stress from vibration or other risk factors. Therefore, there is need to improve work environment, i.e. enough resting, to set a seat to support lumbar spine properly and to provide comprehensive rehabilitation program including early diagnosis, proper treatment and education for self help management.
Previous studies show that working wives in the market contribute to the family economy that affects the family member's behaviors as consumers. Accordingly, the consumer behavior among working wives would be differ form that among nonworking wives. As the number of working wives in the market is increasing, this study focuses on the estimation of the degree of rationality in purchasing decision making among wives in relation to their working status. Therefore, this study attempts to construct an rationality index of a purchasing decision making both at a high and a low involvement situation by working and nonworking wives, and analyzes the differences in the results of the two groups. This study also examines how the rationality indices vary with the selected socioeconomic variables. The data are obtained from self-administered questionnaires from a sample of 217 working and 191 nonworking wives at Seoul and Seongnam in 1986. The statistical methods used in this study are Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression, and Analysis of Variances. The major findings of this study are as follows; 1) The mean value of the rationality index among nonworking wives is higher than that among working wives. Under a high involvement situation, the mean value of the rationality index among working wives is negative. Therefore, it is likely that nonworking wives make purchasing decisions more rationally than working wives. 2) The higher the degree of wive's education, the more rational the purchasing decision making. Under a low involvement situation, the higher the monthly family income, the more rational the purchasing decision making . under the same situation, the shorter the duration of marriage , the more rational the purchasing decision making. 3) Under a low involvement situation, the rationality indices of working wives vary with their occupations. The rationality indices among those in selling and service jobs are lower than those among those in professional jobs. 4) The impact of the selected socio-economic variables on the degree of the rationality in purchasing decision making differs depending on whether the wife is working or not. Under a low involvement situation, the positive impact of the monthly family income on the rationality in purchasing decision making is stronger among nonworking wives than among working wives. Under the same situation, the negative impact of the duration of marriage on the rationality is stronger among nonworking wives than among working wives.
This study attempts to propose a priority of national nutrition targets and strategies for health promotion by the year 2000 in Korea, as a part of the task set for national health promotion objectives and strategies. Among all of the important health issues raised, ten were chosen, nutrition was one priority area. In the first part, the current status of the nutrition-related health problems and risk factors are reviewed, in conjunction with the newly arisen health phenomena, such as changes in prevalence of lifestyle disease and causes of death, changes of food consumption patterns in our country. In the second section this study suggests six feasible national nutrition targets, eight implementing strategies and current major tasks on the basis of the assessment of present status and in consideration of the other health promotion goals and strategies, with reference to that of other developed countries. The main targets and strategies are suggested as follows ; Firstly, the national nutrition monitoring and surveillance system should be established for identifying the nutritional problems for our people, and current National Nutrition Survey is a strong need for improvement to a more comprehensive and reliable one. Secondly, effective administrative mechanism should be operation at national level for the development of nutrition policy. Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) as well as local health department must be remarkably renewed and strengthened the nutrition section. And it is recommended that MOHW organize and operate “The Council of Nutrition”, in which all government authorities related with foodstuffs and nutrition would incorporated. The Council of Nutrition would act as an adjustor as well as a coordinator in nutrition related policy-making. Thirdly, healthy eating pattern will be supported by activities of introducing a nutrition labeling for providing consumers with the necessary information and skills for food selection. Fourthly, nutrition education, and nutrition intervention programs will be carried out in various settings such as health centers, schools, and clinical fields and workplace. Fifthly, the current dietary guidelines shall be continuously improved in detail, and publicly circulated to particular levels of people by age group and by health condition. And finally, researches and epidemiological studies particularly in regard to diet for development of chronic diseases are needed for more investigation and up-to-date national health and nutrition data should be collected with the support and cooperation from the various medical professional teams . The purpose of this article was to a) identify how preservice teachers conceive feedbacks and subsequent classroom discourses, and b) compare them with those in reform-oriented mathematics classroom video for mathematics teachers' professional development about classroom discourse. This article analyzes feedback patterns and subsequent classroom discourses in preservice teachers' imaginary classroom scripts (lesson plays) and compares them with those in the reform-oriented classroom video dealing with the same teaching situation. Most of the preservice teachers' feedbacks focused the evaluation of students' responses and transmission of meaning (univocal function), whereas the teacher's feedback in the reform-oriented classroom allowed the whole class to validate or challenge the answers, thereby facilitating students' generation of meaning (dialogic function). The comparison analysis between the univocal discourse in a preservice teacher's lesson play and the dialogical discourse in the reform-oriented classroom video shows that teacher feedback serves as an important indicator for the main function of classroom discourse and the levels of students' cognitive participation, and also as a variable that determines and changes them. This case study suggests that to improve the quality of classroom discourse, preservice and in-service teachers need experience of perceiving the variety of feedback patterns available in specific teaching contexts and exploring ways to balance the univocal and dialogical functioning in their feedback move during the teacher training courses.
This study aims at looking into the use of oriental medical services in treating disease and patient's attitude of oriental medicine by social classes. The first to be explored through this study is medical accessibility, classifying them by age, gender and job. Second is to examine kinds of oriental medical services and expenses incurred in treating the disease. Third is to compare satisfaction for the services offered and investigate into relations between disease and oriental medicine through cross-analysis by class, and provide fundamental materials for enhancing accessibility to oriental medical centers for treating chronic diseases. The 1,376 households for the period of time from Apr. to Jun. 2005, were asked to answer to the questionnaires offered. The conclusion from the survey can be summarized as follows. Medical services for the onset of disease were less offered to females, older group, low schooling, and low-income bracket. It is attributable to an economic cause, in both genders. The in- and outpatients' rate were found higher in groups of female, older age, low-income and blue-color workers. Use of oriental medical centers were higher in outpatients than inpatients probably for low-income brackets were less frequently put on regular physical checkups, more exposing to diseases. Each hospitalization was found over six days longer in average; 19.7 days for oriental medical hospitals, 12.5 for hospitals. The hospital charges that patients should pay for one hospitalization showed 909,000 won in oriental medical hospitals, much higher than 518,000 won in hospitals. Outpatients were also found to pay more for oriental medical services; 55,000 won for oriental medical hospitals, 19,000 for hospitals. As to outpatients' satisfaction, oriental medical hospitals were generally found to be a little more satisfactory than general hospitals; 11.2% of respondents answered Very Satisfactory. Satisfaction to services offered to outpatients showed 82.2% of respondents responded to Over Satisfactory for herb clinics, 76% for general hospitals. For future intention to use oriental medical services, females, over 51 years old, lower education and income, and blue color workers showed more intention to use them. To be more competitive in treating chronic diseases, it is necessary that oriental medical services become more accessible through extending its coverage of insurance into more medical herbs and their prepared packs, as well as mapping out extensive publicity strategies to make known to the public about high efficacy of medical herbs and their safety.
