An Analysis on Consumer Characteristics and Determinants to Goods Purchase Decisions According to Consumer Characteristics in Cable TV Home-Shopping (Cable TV 홈쇼핑 이용 소비자의 특성 및 소비자 특성별 상품구매 결정요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine determinant to purchase decisions by consumers using the home shopping of cable TV. For the purpose accomplishment, this researcher surveyed demographic characteristics of cable TV users to determine what differences in types of goods purchased by the users were made in accordance with the characteristics. Findings from the study may be reflected in bisiness policies seeking the fulfillment of consumer needs, and be used as a basic information for the establishment of consumer policies pursuing increased qualities of consumption life by providing information on goods shown through the of home shopping on cable TV. The result of the study can be summarized as follow. First, purchased goods were greatly different in their types depending on demographic characteristics of consumers such as gender, marital status, age, educational backgrounds, income and jobs. Second, experiential characteristics of cable TV users including holding or non-holding credit cards, main channels used, the main time of watching cable TV and purchase frequency per year contributed to differences in types of purchased goods. Third, factors influencing purchase decisions were somewhat different according to types of goods. However, previous purchase experiences were most influential irrespective of the types. The result as described so far suggests that previous purchase experiences by consumers raised their chances of repurchase by removing possible risks perceived by consumers. Based on the result as above, the researcher would make the following conclusion. First. companies operating the of home shopping on cable TV should increase satisfaction by consumers by providing reliable goods and information to them. In this sense, those companies need to establish marketing strategies that vary according to demographic characteristics of consumers and at the same time provide product information necessary for fulfilling consumers' requirements. Second, consumers should be moderate in the use of credit cards to avoid unplanned purchases via home shopping on cable TV and have some knowledge to solve problems related to goods and to the use of credit cards.

  • The efforts of reflecting the system's uncertainties in design step have been made and robust optimization or reliabilitybased design optimization are examples of the most famous methodologies. The statistical moments of a performance function and the constraints corresponding to probability conditions are involved in the formulation of these methodologies. Therefore, it is essential to effectively and accurately calculate them. The sensitivities of these methodologies have to be determined when nonlinear programming is utilized during the optimization process. The sensitivity of statistical moments and probability constraints is expressed in the integral form and limited to the normal random variable; we aim to expand the sensitivity formulation to nonnormal variables. Additional functional calculation will not be required when statistical moments and failure or satisfaction probabilities are already obtained at a design point. On the other hand, the accuracy of the sensitivity results could be worse than that of the moments because the target function is expressed as a product of the performance function and the explicit functions derived from probability density functions.

  • The reduced production of domestic cosmetics in 2003, compared to last 5 years shows the recession of cosmetics industry. Under this situation, there has been reorganization on the domestic cosmetic market that low-end cosmetic .products become a trend due to the fact that major cosmetic companies also focus on low-end market since the last half year of 2004. However, it does not seem to be a temporal fashion that the extremely low-end cosmetics had an impact wavelength on cosmetics market. It has important meaning for the brand product strategy. This research focused on analysis of market situation and strategy through investigation of requirement and satisfaction on extremely low-end cosmetics in order to keep and improve it, which stimulated depressed cosmetic market.

The Need of Education and Practice to Bring Up CAD/CAM Experts (CAD/CAM 전문 인력 양성을 위한 교육 및 업무의 필요성)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to ascertain the need to reform curriculums for digital experts in a way that include the practical and educational aspects of dental labs by determining why educational reforms are needed to comply with changes in dental technology business that are brought by the applications of digital scanning and what changes are being actually brought by the use of CAD/CAM. Methods: This study analyzed the need of education and practice in relation to CAD/CAM by using the independent sample t-test and One-way ANOVA. in accordance with the participants demographic characteristics and job-related variables and factors related to CAD/CAM, and provided only some of the analysis results that were found statistically significant. Concerning the need of education and practice in relation to CAD/CAM, the study also used the independent sample t-test to measure difference in the perception of that need within each of the three groups, or those of job performance, job efficiency and knowledge gain at the signficance level of ${\alpha}=.05$. Results: Dental technologists surveyed here were perceiving that the use of CAD/CAM would bring changes in their job performance, job efficiency and knowledge gain. They were expecting that the biggest changes would be made in work climate and product quality as sub-areas of job performance. However, they said that in terms of job efficiency, the use of CAD/CAM would change job contribution, job satisfaction and job efficiency, but not lead to staffing. These results suggest that more special programs for CAD/CAM education are needed to bring up CAD/CAM experts who are more specialized. Conclusion: Among 13 skills related to CAD/CAM, what is most needed to be educated to dental technologists was "molding the occlusal surface" (M=4.19), followed by "designing the 3-D work" (M=4.17), "final shape modification" (M=4.16), "molding the border" (M=4.15) and "checking the fit of prothesis" (M=4.14) in order.

  • Every one hopes for the strong or healthy families and happy society, The Healthy Families Act legislated on February 9, 2004, and three centers were appointed to perform as a model, before the law has been in force from January 1, 2005. The major services or programs at the Center performed last year were as follows; educational programs, counseling for prevention of family problems, and cultural events for strengthening the family functions. This study presented the general situations of Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families last year, evaluated the product of cultural events or programs, and proposed better ideas for managing cultural services or programs. In 'the division of Home Culture', the community networks were established, and diverse events or programs provided drew high satisfaction among attendants. In the future, some services or programs at Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families hoped to be helpful and made a basis for activating services or programs for other centers.

  • In the study, we were develop unification of examination paper switchboard that reduced the hassle about previously glucose measurement. Examination paper case was produced to magazine for minimize when you use the previously products occurred hand pollution or loss rate. And, Quantity of examination paper can be checked in real time by seeking the convenience of patients. In this study, we selected one model but you can product any examination paper case. Data was construct through surveys to questionnaires and satisfaction. Purchasing was received to high rating 67%. In this study, we were trying minimize inconvenience during self scan for diabetes patient. Further, we were suggest various products that were improve the functionality and practicality through practicality in design.

  • In product design and manufacturing, axiomatic design provides a systematic approach for the decision-making process. Two axioms have been defined such as the Independence Axiom and the Information Axiom. The Information Axiom states that the best design among those that satisfy the independence axiom is the one with the least information content. In other words, the best design is the one that has the highest probability of success. On the other hand, the Taguchi robust design is used in the two-step process; one is "reduce variability," and the other is "adjust the mean on the target." The two-step can be interpreted as a problem that has two FRs (functional requirements). Therefore, the Taguchi method should be used based on the satisfaction of the Independence Axiom. Common aspects exist between the Taguchi method and Axiomatic Design in that a robust design is induced. However, different characteristics are found as well. The Taguchi method does not have the design range, and the probability of success may not be enough to express robustness. Our purpose is to find the one that has the highest probability of success and the smallest variation. A new index is proposed to satisfy these conditions. The index is defined by multiplication of the robustness weight function and the probability density function. The robustness weight function has the maximum at the target value and zero at the boundary of the design range. The validity of the index is proved through various examples.gh various examples.

  • Innovation of genomics technology has recently been extended to Direct To Consumer Genetic Test (DTC-GT) which consumers purchase without requesting the service on medical institutes. In 2016, Korea has introduced the DTC-GT but the market size is small comparing to global market. This study analyzes consumers' purchase intentions and purposes and their influential factors based on 2018 consumer survey. According to the results of binominal and multinominal logistic regression, knowledge after purchase, attitude on medical care benefit, health status are statistically significant on purchase intentions. Purchase purposes are different on age group and related on medical care rather than health care. These results imply that DTC-GT is needed to improve consumer satisfaction, re-purchase and effective care service. This paper is expected to contribute on strategic directions for the new DTC-GT product development.

  • Stakeholder management in construction projects is an important factor in project performance creation. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the recognition of the importance of the quality influence factors among the stakeholders of the construction project on the perceived quality and the project performance. The impact of the project management methodology on the project performance has been actively researched, but there is little research result on the project stakeholders. The projects to be researched are apartments and buildings that have been completed within the last five years of domestic large construction company. The method of survey is to measure the consensus of the importance of the quality influential factors among the three parties such as the ordering party, the design supervisor and the constructor, and confirm whether the agreement affects the quality of the actual project. Finally, the research model was verified by surveying the satisfaction of the client on the final product. The results are as follow. The degree of agreement on the importance of quality influential factors among stakeholders has a significant effect on perceived quality. In the relationship between perceived quality of influence factors, organizational (support) quality influenced technological quality and managerial quality, and technological quality and managerial quality also have significant influence on resource quality. The results of analysis showed that perceived quality of resources strongly influenced project performance. The remaining three experienced qualities also significantly affect project performance.

  • In the case of an energy base device (EBD), which is used for treatment in dermatology, it is difficult to access it as a design, and because the range of users is narrow, there is a lack of research data considering the user's convenience. This study is a research paper that analyzes the problems and needs felt by doctors and nurses from the user's point of view of dermatology EBD, and seeks directions for improvement. After identifying the types and components of EBD through literature and observational research. Problems of each component of EBD were identified through a questionnaire on the use status and satisfaction level targeting users. After that, through a group discussion of experts, the principle of evaluating the usability of PUI design of Energy Base Devices was derived. The EBD's PUI design usability evaluation principle derived in this paper can be used as basic data to supplement the problems of EBD design, and is expected to improve the usability of EBD to be designed in the future.
