Advanced countries are very active in deploying the National Information I infrastructure which provides universal service to promise fruitful quality of futuree life. Even in the distributed environment, we can closely converse, work together, and share information in a very convenient way. This is actually enabled with the help of groupware technology, which are currently focused and researched in a larger popularity. The aim of this study is to design a portable pack for group communications management to support the development of groupware application. In the paper we begin with technical survey, continue to build our own model for group communications man agement, and design its architecture and procedure. We also suggest group addressing mechanism under Internet environment such as how to create IP multicast address and IP port number dynamically and as a globally unique value for the communication session, with the help of the hierarchical and distributed address managers. We also indicate the reliable data transmission services to remedy the unreliable feature of the UDP multicast services, and finally the architecture/ applied to support the practical applications is briefly discussed for verification of the designed concept.
The purpose of this study was to discuss the papers of social welfare field that were published in Korea, from a research methodology aspect in accordance with the meta-analysis reporting standard proposed by the United States Psychological Association. To this end, an analysis was conducted according to 5 types of conformity (title and abstract, introduction, methods, results and discussion) on the target subjects of 26 meta-analysis papers of social welfare field. The analysis results showed, first, the conformity in the title and abstract showed good results except for the suggested topics for meta-analysis methods. Second, in terms of the conformity of the introduction, the descriptions seemed to be good in a number of items. Third, for the conformity in the methods, the overall reporting standard was seen to be lacking and, in particular, the reporting standard for the coding procedure was seen as being very deficient. Fourth, the conformity in the results showed that the assessment of research quality and the magnitude of efficacy for each individual study, sample size, and the contents of the provided tables, summary of tables and graphs, including the study results, were not being properly reported. Fifth, the conformity in discussions was seen to be generally sound. Based on such results, by providing a reporting standard and perspective needed for ensuring feasibility that can be used to assess meta-analysis study materials, this study was aimed at presenting implications for the academic advancement of field of social welfare.

Background: When it comes to esophageal cancer operations, the prevalence of anastomotic complications that adversely affect quality of life is related to the type of anastomotic procedure and the operative site. We studied outcomes related to a safe anastomotic method used in Ivor Lewis esophagogastrectomy for preventing anastomotic leakage and stricture formation. Material and Method: Between May 2003 and April 2007, 18 patients with esophageal cancer underwent this type of esophagogastrectomy. Four people were lost to follow-up. There were 17 men (94.4%) and 1 woman. The mean patient age was 61 years (range, $46{\sim}73$ years). Result: The mean follow-up period was 17.2 months (range, $1{\sim}45$ months). There was no anastomotic leakage. There was one benign anastomotic stricture (5.6%) requiring esophageal balloon dilatation, which was accomplished with a 25 mm circular stapler. Conclusion: We experienced relatively good postoperative results using a safe anastomotic method in the Ivor lewis operation for preventing anastomotic complications. These results suggest that this anastomotic method is effective in reducing the incidence of benign anastomotic complications.
This study aims to promote understanding level for mathematical model, to improve methods and necessity of application in the process of product design and also to promote approaching and applying methods as a guideline for beginners. For the procedure and method of study first, it was emphasized by linking method and necessity of scientific analysis and a quality of product design and design process. Next, the corresponding relations between mathematical model and design probelem was desciebed, the mathematical model was examinated appeying process of product design. Lastly, approaching and applying methods for beginners was presented based on the discribed studied contents. As the result of the study, some points are by a result or problem : frist, the point that mathematical model is useful to grasp the design problems which various elements are complicately involved quantitatively and structurally, and its necessity can be especially utilized as a tool to justify and convince the convince the conclusion of the designer himself to the persons concerned. Second, the point that in order to apply mathematical model to the design process skillfully, first of all, the substance of all mathematical models which can be applid, and it is not easy to command in perfect method without using computer. Third, the point that since there are many kindsof mathematical models used is mathematical modeland the models which can be applidied to solve design problems differ in accordance with the design types and design process, its applying method can be presented as one kind of standardization or concretely. Fourth the point that in case of approaching mathematical model for the first time, it can start to select model corresponding with design type by stage of design process bassed on understanding for some mathematical knowledge and computer program.

For the improvement of air quality in the metropolitan area, Korea has enforced the air pollutant emission cap regulation from the 1st of July, 2007, and the companies that intend to install a new or an enlarged facility in the metropolitan area will be restricted. However, the current regulation on permission does not describe a standard of judgement distinctly. In this study, therefore, a method of permission on the installation of a new or an enlarged facility was developed by supplementing the law in force based on the foreign cases. To develop a specific permit regulation and procedure, the developed nations' cases such as US, Canada, EU were reviewed thoroughly. Also, an appropriate method was suggested to apply domestically for a new or an enlarged facility permit within the regulations of the metropolitan special law. The method consists of first, calculating the possible permit quantity from the difference between an estimated annual emission cap and the annual emission provided by the implementation plan in each region. Second, permitting a new or an enlarged facility construction within the difference of the emission between the regional emission cap and the implementation plan in 2014. Third, distributing emissions allowable to each performance year based on the regional emission cap and the implementation plan in 2014. Fourth, making use of the emission difference between the implementation plan and the performance result in each year. Considering the general domestic conditions, the convenience of the permit authority and permitted companies, the most reasonable method was to use the fourth. To enforce the suggested permit method in a more flexible way, parts of the related regulations need to be revised and continuous research and analysis on the results from the implemented system and on foreign cases is necessary to develop this method a suitable system for domestic conditions and to settle the air pollutant emission cap system.

Purpose : The aim of this study is to conform the possibility of the liquid type EPID as a QC tools to clinical indication and of replacement of the film dosimetry. Aditional aim is to describe a procedure for the use of a EPID as a physics calibration tool in the measurements of radiation beam parameters which are typically carried out with film. Method & Materials : In this study we used the Clinac 2100c/d with EPID. This system contains 65536 liquid-filled ion chambers arranged in a $256{\times}256$ matrix and the imaging area is $32.5{\times}32.5cm$ with liquid layer thickness of 1mm. The EPID was tested for different field sizes under typical clinical conditions and pixel values were calibrated against dose by producing images using various thickness of lead attenuators(lead step wedge) using 6 & 10MV x-ray. We placed various thickness of lead on the table of linear accelerator and set the portal vision an SDD of 100cm. To acquire portal image we change the field size and energy, and we recorded the average pixel value in a $3{\times}3$ pixel region of interest(ROI) at field center was recorded. The pixel values were also measured for different field sizes in order to evaluate the dependence of pixel value on x-ray energy spectrum and various scatter components. Result : The EPID, as a whole, was useful as a QA tool and dosimetry device. In mechanical check, cross-hair centering was well matched and the error was less than ?2mm and light/radiation field coincidence was less than 1mm also. In portal dosimetry the wider the field size the the higher the pixel value and as the lead thickness increase, the pixel value was exponentially decreased. Conclusions : The EPID was very suitable for QA tools and it can be used to measure exit dose during patients treatment with reasonable accuracy. But when indicate the EPID to clincal study deep consideration required

Kompsat-3 is an optical high-resolution earth observation satellite launched in May 2012. In addition to its 0.7m spatial resolution, Kompsat-3 is capable of in-track stereo acquisition enabling quality Digital Elevation Model(DEM) generation. Typical DEM generation procedure requires accurate control points well-distributed over the entire image region. But we often face difficult situations especially when the area of interests is oversea or inaccessible area. One solution to this is to use existing geospatial data even though they only cover a part of the image. This paper aimed to assess accuracy of DEM from Kompsat-3 with different scenarios including no control point, Rational Polynomial Coefficients(RPC) relative adjustment, and RPC adjustment with control points. Experiments were carried out for Kompsat-3 stereo data in USA. We used Digital Orthophoto Quadrangle(DOQ) and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission(SRTM) as control points sources. The generated DEMs are compared to a LiDAR DEM for accuracy assessment. The test results showed that the relative RPC adjustment significantly improved DEM accuracy without any control point. And comparable DEM could be derived from single control point from DOQ and SRTM, showing 7 meters of mean elevation error.

In recent years, the introduction of complex systems analysis based on various variables has become more active in order to identify and analyze complex problems of Modern Society. Prediction of patients' spatial perception and usability according to the spatial arrangement of the outpatient department is a very important factor for providing high quality hospital service. For objective analysis, the standard program procedure and analysis index for the diseases of the elderly were prepared and the uniformity of the atmospheric space was evaluated through heat map analysis and quantitative analysis. In this study, 73 cells were installed and simulated to analyze the uniformity of the four alternatives according to the change of the arrangement of the medical care space, receiving space, and consultation space using the complex system analysis method for the nursing hospitals. The resulting density was derived. The results are as follows. 1)The layout of the reception space has the greatest influence on the total spatial density of the waiting space. 2) The uniformity of the waiting space can be increased by separating the examination space and the examination space. 3)The closer the location of the receiving space is from the entrance, the greater the density of the waiting space. Finally, this study applied discrete event simulation to the evaluation of uniformity of atmosphere space, and proved that the actor - based model can be utilized for utilization and evaluation as spatial analysis methodology.
Crew scheduling is the problem of pairing crews with each of the vehicles in operation during a certain period of time. A typical procedure of crew schedule optimization consists of enumerating all possible pairings and then selecting the subset which can cover all the operating vehicles, with the goal of minimizing the number of pairings in the subset. The linear programming approach popularly adopted for optimal selection of pairings, however, is not applicable when the objective function cannot be expressed in a linear form. This paper proposes a method of integrating integer programming and heuristic search to solve difficult crew scheduling problems in which the objective function cannot be expressed in linear form and at the same time the number of crews available is limited. The role of heuristic search is to improve the incomplete solution generated by integer programming through iterative repair. Experimental results show that our method outperforms human experts in terms of both solution quality and execution time when applied to real world crew scheduling Problems which can hardly be solved by traditional methods.

This study evaluated the standardization of the outpatient management process in several regions of South Korea. The hospital workers in the administration department of the different medical institutions that are registered with the Korean Hospital Association were surveyed. These institutions can be standard hospitals or hospitals greater in size. A summary of the research results are as follows. There was no significant correlation in their registration procedures in relation to the institution's founder, number of sickbeds, number of staff employed in the administration department, and average number of outpatients per day. On the other hand, the prepayment of medical fees occurred more frequently when the number of sickbeds was larger. In addition, there was no large difference in their appointment procedures in relation to those features. Nevertheless, the prepayment of medical fees accounted for 11.8 % of the entire payment in institutions with less than five hundred beds, while fifty percent of the payment was made in advance in larger institutions with five hundred or more beds. From this research, there was only a small difference among the institutions' outpatient management, but a notable difference was observed in their electronic data processing systems and facilities. Therefore, more financial support should be generated for the implementation of a more integrated process. As a follow-up study, to provide patients with quality medical services, it will be necessary to apply the standardized procedure to an actual medical institution and analyze the expected effect.
