  • This study focuses on the discovering problems which have been encountered while the farm company grew from one-man business to big company. We divide a growth process of farm company into 7 phases, and analyze the problems of each phase of growth process of farm company by theoretically and empirically. The logical model methodology is selected to test the basic model, and we use 6 cases to test suggested basic model. The results of this study are as follows. It suggests that the CEO of farm enterprise or its policy maker can understand what kinds of problem they meet while the farm enterprise grew from one-man business to big company, and they can make better strategies or better support policies.

  • OECD countries including Korea positively adopt performance-based budget systems which convert an input-centered system to an output-centered system to solve two baffling problems: public expense retrenchment and efficiency recovery of government management. Output management of IT project propelled in public sector becomes a prominent figure influenced by these keynote of policy. However, it is placed in difficult circumstances to develop a performance index and the methodology to cover characteristics of IT project, measuring the goal achievement of business and the customer contentment according to the phases of business progress. Existing studies of IT project accomplishment measurement have been fulfilled on the subject of business targeting on IT technology application, administrative information network business and national base of information network construction. Most of the studies have been executed using BSC or AHP to reflect synthetically business specifics of IT project from a methodological point of view. In this study, we propose a structural equation model (SEM) to develop a performance index which measures the outcome of IT project according to the phases of business progress, avoiding a simple presentation of project outcome or conceptual frame. The proposed SEM is applied to the survey results of "IT support project for Small and medium business". Based on the fitted model, we apply ACSI concept to develop an Information Technologization Success Index (ITSI). This index allows us comparison of several IT vendors as well as feedback information for further improvement.

  • Today, the role of IT is so important that it is regarded as a partner of business, not a simple supporter. The more important the role of IT becomes, the higher the level of business needs rises and the more customers want. In the market of IT, more and more enterprises are establishing ITSM processes based on the ITIL for these environments: however they are experiencing the processes of trial and errors because of the shortage of references To improve these problems, in this study, we developed the ITSM model defined by investigation of the instance to which we have applied the ITIL Continuous Service Improvement Process which contains five phases such as High level Business Objectives. Assessment. Measurable Targets, Process Improvement, Measurement and Metrics. This model is an ITSM building framework to understand the concepts over the length and breadth of ITIL and minimize the trial and errors appearing during the building of the ITSM processes, and this paper presents a plan to develop the frameworks.

  • Ideation is a process of generating new ideas or solutions using online crowd-sourcing technologies. This process has the potential to change the ways by which government agencies innovate and solve problems. Although increasingly more government agencies are implementing online ideation programs to tap into their employees' ideas and creativity, little is known about the unique challenges and effective practices of such programs. Thus, many government agencies are undergoing trial and error and often reinventing the wheel. This research aims to address this problem. By analyzing a focus group session and four cases of U.S. federal government ideation programs designed for their employees, this research identifies important organizational and technological challenges and effective practices. Furthermore, effective practices are grouped into different phases of ideation process and strategic vs. tactical levels to provide more meaningful and actionable insights. This research is an important step towards building a theoretical foundation for government ideation programs. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

  • The existence of solutions of a class of two-point boundary value problems for higher order differential equations is studied. Sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution are established. It is of interest that the nonlinearity f in the equation depends on all lower derivatives, and the growth conditions imposed on f are allowed to be super-linear (the degrees of phases variables are allowed to be greater than 1 if it is a polynomial). The results are different from known ones since we don't apply the Green's functions of the corresponding problem and the method to obtain a priori bound of solutions are different enough from known ones. Examples that can not be solved by known results are given to illustrate our theorems.

  • In public project market, design-build projects have been increased because of market trend change which enables technical competition. In this condition, its importance is also getting important. Generally, life cycle of design-build project consists of planning, preliminary design, procurement, contract, detail design, start of construction, construction, end of construction, and evaluation. From contractor's viewpoint, it has problems such as difficulties in project management and information sharing because of frequent change of charged division. To solve these problems, it is desirable to change from function-based management system to process-based management system. The purpose of this study is to develop management process model for design-build project by progress phases. This study analyzed main conflicts and decision making factors of each stage in design-build projects, then systemized management subjects' responsibilities and management points' change. And also this study defined the key information that is the key point by project characteristics and progress phases. Based on this analysis, this study did business process modeling from planning stage to construction design check stage. At last, we proposed the way to manage business process by design-build project progress.

  • The existing CBD development methods deal with the analysis phase in a superficial manner. Applying such a superficial analysis to business applications with a number of subsystems makes analysis models be inconsistent with levels and styles, only depending on experiences of the analysts. This inconsistent analysis might cause more serious problems during the subsequent development phases, resulting in the failure of the projects. In this paper, we propose a rule-based analysis pattern that provides an analysis template for business applications. This pattern analyzes the concepts of business applications by using external events and internal rules that process the events. Employing this pattern, a huge business application can be developed by a couple of co-analysts who work together in a consistent and systematic manner. This paper also describes an efficient way to develop business components with the suggested analysis pattern using banking deposit case study through UML Components development process.

  • The existence of solutions of the following multi-point boundary value problem $${x^{(n)}(t)=f(t,\;x(t),\;x'(t),{\cdots}, x^{(n-2)}(t))+r(t),\;0 is studied. • In this paper, we introduce the hybrid data mining mechanism based in association rule and fuzzy neural networks (FNN). Most of data mining mechanisms are depended in the association rule extraction algorithm. However, the basic association rule-based data mining has not the learning ability. In addition, sequential patterns of association rules could not represent the complicate fuzzy logic. To resolve these problems, we suggest the hybrid mechanism using association rule-based data mining, and fuzzy neural networks. Our hybrid data mining mechanism was consisted of four phases. First, we used general association rule mining mechanism to develop the initial rule-base. Then, in the second phase, we used the fuzzy neural networks to learn the past historical patterns embedded in the database. Third, fuzzy rule extraction algorithm was used to extract the implicit knowledge from the FNN. Fourth, we combine the association knowledge base and fuzzy rules. Our proposed hybrid data mining mechanism can reflect both association rule-based logical inference and complicate fuzzy logic.

  • Recently, the scope of user interface is increasing the relative importance in software development dramatically. As a result, there are various relative technologies like as SWING, MFC, Web 2.0, and etc. However, most current software developments are progressed in separate development process with user interface part and business part respectively. This causes the problems, like as a difficulty in the integration process, an development period's delay, and a poor reusability for the constructed models. That is, the extendability and reusability of the created models is being decreased because UI modeling is not systematic and hierarchical, and the consistent integration technique between UI modeling and business modeling does not supported. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an unified and systematic UI modeling process based on UML, using the hierarchical metamodel according to the abstraction levels of development phase. We suggest an UI metamodel, which contains a hierarchy by layering the modeling elements in PIM and PSM based on maturity degree of the development. An hierarchical modeling process combined UI modeling and business modeling is built by applying the UI and business metamodel in terms of three modeling phases(concept/specification/concrete). The effectiveness of the modeling process is shown by applying the proposed process into an Internet Shopping Mall System. Through the exploratory results, the hierarchical UI metamodel and process can produce systematic and layered UI models. This can improve the quality and reusability of models.
