  • Chronic pain and herniated disk is a common disease that 80% of adults are experienced. There diseases rates of caused by the physical shock, such as the traffic accident, and the accidental fall is about 10%. And the most of these diseases is caused by having habitual incorrect position. People know that incorrect position would cause to accumulate continuous stress, but it is not easy to correct position. Because it does not recognize incorrect position repeated habitual consequently. This system collects data of user position after sensors that could measure position attach on use and presumes correct position used by position presumption algorithms. Its system purpose is continuing incorrect position could be aware to user and lead to change to correct position to prevent habituation of incorrect position. If habitual of correct position continues through accurate measurement and repeating cognitive learning, it would help for children and chronic patience.

Analysis of the Growth and Metabolites of a Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex-Deficient Klebsiella pneumoniae Mutant in a Glycerol-Based Medium

  • To determine the role of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDHC) in Klebsiella pneumoniae, the growth and metabolism of PDHC-deficient mutant in glycerol-based medium were analyzed and compared with those of other strains. Under aerobic conditions, the PDHC activity was fourfold higher than that of pyruvate formate lyase (PFL), and blocking of PDHC caused severe growth defect and pyruvate accumulation, indicating that the carbon flux through pyruvate to acetyl coenzyme A mainly depended on PDHC. Under anaerobic conditions, although the PDHC activity was only 50% of that of PFL, blocking of PDHC resulted in more growth defect than blocking of PFL. Subsequently, combined with the requirement of CO2 and intracellular redox status, it was presumed that the critical role of PDHC was to provide NADH for the anaerobic growth of K. pneumoniae. This presumption was confirmed in the PDHC-deficient mutant by further blocking one of the formate dehydrogenases, FdnGHI. Besides, based on our data, it can also be suggested that an improvement in the carbon flux in the PFL-deficient mutant could be an effective strategy to construct high-yielding 1,3-propanediol-producing K. pneumoniae strain.

Analysis of Differential Diagnosis System in Sasang Typology on the Basis of Greater-Lesser-Yin-Yang and Eight Principle Pattern Identification (태소음양(太少陰陽)과 팔강(八綱)의 분석에 근거한 사상인 변증분류체계 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical implication of Eight Principle Pattern Identification, EPPI in Sasang Typology. Although EPPI is considered as the most basic differential diagnosis in Oriental Medical Science, it has not been used actively enough in clinical practice owing to the presumption that EPPI is not sufficient for the analysis of complex clinical symptoms. In Zhang Jiebin's Jingyuequanshu, he separates Yin-Yang with Six-identification in EPPI when explaining them. This implies that it is difficult to talk about each of EPPI in same perspective. Thus, for the active clinical usage of EPPI it is necessary to study in hierarchical perspective. Lee Je-ma's Sasang typology could be a good example that uses the hierarchical perspective of EPPI. In the book Dongeuisoosebowon Lee Je-ma talks about differentiating Yin with Yang by constitution, Exterior with Interior and Cold with Heat accordingly, to apply in prescriptions. After differentiation, Yin and Yang are placed in higher level from the rest of EPPI, thus Yin and Yang can influence the rest of EPPI. This study showed the importance of EPPI in understanding the differential diagnosis system of Sasang typology in clinical perspectives.

Presumption on the Failures, the Causes and the Reliability of the Mist and Dust Blower (미스트기 부품의 고장실태조사에 의한 신뢰성의 예측)

  • This study was originated to investigate the imparired parts of the mist and dust blowers and intended to analyze the causes of their failures by the use of the Weibull probability paper. By the use of the paper, the parts which were needed to change the design, the force of the urgency, the mean time between failures of the parts and the basic causes of the troubles could be predicted. The survey showed that the following parts got out of order: (A) flexible rubber hose, (B) blowing fan, (C) lead valve, (D) piston ring. (E) crank main bearing, (F) coil in magneto and (G) needle valve in carburettor. The analysis of the survey indicated that the parts G, C, E and D were belonged to "wear-out failure", and that the mean time between failures became shorter in order as indicated above. To insure longer lives of those parts, it would be necessary to change the design and the material and to upgrade operators mechanical technique of the mist and dust blower. The failure of the parts A, B and F was classified as "randomfailure", and they did not seem to be the "wear-out" at that time. The parts B and F was evaluated as "initial failure". Quality controls and operating tests by the producer. and the operational training for users should be strengthened so as to eliminate these failures. Were the failures only in the parts A, C, D, E, F and G, it could be said that the "reliability" of the mist and dust blower would fall to 10 percent in the second year, and 50 percent of the mist and dust blowers would fail in all parts A, C, D, E, F and G before the blower would have control insect and disease in 58.2 hectares. The use of the Weibull probability paper for analyzing failures of the mist and dust blowers was effective in that it analyzed failure in the relationship between strength of the parts and users actual circumstanoes.

  • This study was focused on conservation treatment and restoration of the monument for Jo Heon and the Soldiers in Chilbaeguichong. The monument has been ruined by bombing in the era of Japanese colonial(1940) and restored in 1971. Nevertheless, it still showed serious problems such as loss of original form, structural instability, and unnatural appearance. In order to improve its conservation state, the stele basement which was lost by bombing was restored and combined with body and top stones. The broken part of the top stone was also restored with new material through provenance interpretation.

  • This study introduces and analyzes the geothermal energy availability in Non-active volcanic region. Jeju island in Korea is situated in non-active volcanic region. The island is composed of rock with high pore and clinker, scoria geological layer formed by volcanic activity about two million ago. Volcanic geological layers with porous characteristics have air, vapor, water and a underground structure through which air or water can move easily. For this reason, it is probable that the mechanism of energy acquisition is by convective heat transfer. For this presumption, the availability of underground air as energy source has been studied here through theoretical analysis and experimental data. The energy output of our system ranged from 2,485,076 kJ/day to 4,060,978 kJ/day monitored using variable velocity air flow controller. Our system has capability to be a reliable energy source irrespective of environmental changes. Consequently, underground air can be utilized for energy source and provide the optimal design of heating/cooling system.

Effects of Long-Term Removal of Sheep Grazing on the Seedbanks of High-Level Grasslands and Blanket Bogs

  • Many areas of vegetation in the British uplands have reduced species diversity as a result of sheep overgrazing. It has been suggested that abandonment or re-wilding strategies might be used to reverse this. A likely first step would be the removal or reduction of grazing livestock from upland areas, with a presumption that this would lead to a recovery in species richness. However, we do not know if this would work, or the timescales involved. One of the important areas where more knowledge is needed is information on the size and composition of soil seedbanks as regeneration from zseed is a likely pathway of recovery. Here, we compared seedbanks in both grazed and ungrazed plots in five experiments at Moor House NNR in the northern Pennines; these sheep grazing exclusion experiments were started 52 and 63/64 years ago. Soil samples (n=10) were collected from both grazed and ungrazed plots in each experiment, and seed emergence counted in glasshouse trials. We detected only seeds of common species and very few dicotyledonous species. This suggests that the soil seedbank is unlikely to be a reliable source of the less common species for ecological restoration in these upland communities, suggesting an extinction debt. Therefore, seed addition and the creation of suitable safe-sites for germination may be needed in conjunction with grazing controls to allow the establishment of plants that will increase the species richness of the vegetation. However, this interventionist restoration approach remains to be tested.

  • This study focused on getting clear understanding on the legal bases in terms of plurality of obligors and plurality of obligees through a analysis the PICC(2010) which has been standing firmly as the general principles of international commercial contract. Related to the title of this paper, PICC are dealing with not only plurality of obligors but plurality of obligees. The contents of the former are as follows; presumption of joint and several obligations and obligee's rights against joint and several obligors (arts.11.1.1, 11.1.2, 11.1.3), availability of defences and rights of set-off and effect of performance and set-off (arts.11.1.4, 11.1.5), effect of release or settlement and effect of expiration or suspension of limitation period (arts.11.1.6, 11.1.7), effect of judgment (art.11.1.8), apportionment among joint and several obligors and extent of contributory claim (arts.11.1.9, 11.1.10), rights of the obligee, defences in contributory claims, inability to recover (arts.11.1.11, 11.1.12, 11.1.13) and so on. On the other hand the contents of the latter are as follows; definitions (art.11.2.1), effects of joint and several claims (art.11.1.2), availability of defences against joint and several obligees (art.11.2.3), allocation between joint and several obligees (art.11.1.4). The main subjects are one is when several obligors are bound by the same obligation towards an obligee, the obligations are joint and several when each obligor is bound for the whole obligation, the obligations are separate when each obligor is bound only for its share and the other is when several obligees can claim performance of the same obligation from an obligor, the claims are separate when each obligee can only claim its share, the claims are joint and several when each obligee can claim the whole performance and the claims are joint when all obligees have to claim performance together.

  • Back pain has plagued humans for many thousands of years. The treatment of back pain is divided into operative treatment and conservative treatment. It is reported that cure rate of conservative treatment is 80~90 percent. Generally, the treatment of oriental medicine is mostly conservative treatment. But, surgery should not be used as a last resort in treatment; it is just one of many treatment options for various spinal conditions. In some instance, it can be to preferred choice; in other situations, alternative therapies may be superior. Selections of the operation in HIVD 1. Acute disc herniations with a protracted significant component af back pain. 2. Chronic disc degeneration with significant back pain and degeneration limited to one or two disc levels. 3. Sugical instability created during decompression. 4. The presence of neural arch defects coincident with disc disease. 5. Symptamatic and radiographically demonstrable segmental instability. Selections of the operation in stenosis 1. If it does not slowly progress in physical therapy and other nonoperative measures, many of these patients may ultimately need surgical decompression. 2. Absolute stenosis in an impression of CT, MRI.(under 10mm) 3. In patients with established symptoms of .neurogenic claudication. 4.   • This paper presents a way to maximize transmission efficiency and reception ability through transmission diversity technology, which can be adapted to wireless multimedia OFDM (orthogonal FDM) system. The presented method gives a comparative analysis between a case where parameter a for time average is 0.3, i with consideration of channel presumption and two types of rms delayed proliferation, which is 50nsec, 150nsec, for the performance analysis of STTC (Space-Time Trellis Code) using time-space code method which is appropriate for MIMO channel, and performance, in the case, where presumed channel value from long training column section is applied to the according frame in a single frame. The result shows that BER brought SNR improvement of 1.0dB in $10^{-3}$ when a was 0.3 than using only the long training column, and shows an increasement of general performance improvement when the time average factor is used.
