상수관망시스템에서의 장기간 모의를 위한 동역학적 모형의 개발 (The Development of Dynamic Model for Long-Term Simulation in Water Distribution Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 점진적인 유량 및 압력이 변화하는 상수관망에서 Rigid Water Column Theory를 이용하여 정상모형의 확장기간 모의해석보다 정확하고 수충격 해석보다는 계산비용 및 노력 측면에서 효율적으로 장시간 부정류 해석 모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형을 이용하여 실제관망에 대하여 24 시간 열 수요량을 고려한 부정류 해석 및 밸브폐쇄로 인한 수충격해석 모의에 적용하였고 해석 결과는 다음과 같다. 24 시간 일변화 모의의 경우에 수요량이 증가할 경우 모든 관로에서 압력감소가 나타났으며 수요량이 감소할 경우 압력증가가 나타났다. 그리고 일 수요량의 변화에 따라 나타난 절점에서의 유량 및 압력 변화폭은 각 절점마다 다르고 수요량과 유량의 변화양상이 반대로 나타나는 관로도 발생하고 있으며 KYPIPE2의 결과와 본 모형의 유량 및 압력차이도 발생하고 있어 상수관망의 동역학적 해석의 필요성이 대두되었다. 밸브폐쇄로 인한 수충격모의에 본 모형이 적용되었을 때 본 모형은 유체의 압축성을 무시함으로 인해 밸브 완전 폐쇄와 동시에 압력과 유량의 변화가 전 관망에 발생하였고 수충격모형은 유체의 탄성으로 인해 발생된 압력파의 도달시간이 필요함으로 압력과 유량변화가 지체되어 나타났으나 전체적인 변화양상 및 변화폭의 크기 등은 유사한 경향을 나타내어 본 모형의 적용성을 입증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 프로그램은 장기간 점진적인 관로 부정류를 비교적 정확하게 해석할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며 이를 이용하여 관로내 오염물의 확산해석, 수요량을 고려한 절점에서의 압력제어 및 누수저감, 장기간 관로내의 유량 및 압력 변화를 고려한 관망관리 등의 분야에서 효율적으로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대되었다.

Characteristics of Synchronous and Asynchronous modes of fluctuations in Francis turbine draft tube during load variation

  • Francis turbines are often operated over a wide load range due to high flexibility in electricity demand and penetration of other renewable energies. This has raised significant concerns about the existing designing criteria. Hydraulic turbines are not designed to withstand large dynamic pressure loadings on the stationary and rotating parts during such conditions. Previous investigations on transient operating conditions of turbine were mainly focused on the pressure fluctuations due to the rotor-stator interaction. This study characterizes the synchronous and asynchronous pressure and velocity fluctuations due to rotor-stator interaction and rotating vortex rope during load variation, i.e. best efficiency point to part load and vice versa. The measurements were performed on the Francis-99 test case. The repeatability of the measurements was estimated by providing similar movement to guide vanes twenty times for both load rejection and load acceptance operations. Synchronized two dimensional particle image velocimetry and pressure measurements were performed to investigate the dominant frequencies of fluctuations, vortex rope formation, and modes (rotating and plunging) of the rotating vortex rope. The time of appearance and disappearance of rotating and plunging modes of vortex rope was investigated simultaneously in the pressure and velocity data. The asynchronous mode was observed to dominate over the synchronous mode in both velocity and pressure measurements.

Numerical Analysis of the Effect of Injection Pressure Variation on Free Spray and Impaction Spray Characteristics

  • Compression ignition direct injection diesel engines employed a high pressure injection system have been developed as a measure to improve a fuel efficiency and reduce harmful emissions. In order to understand the effects of the pressure variation, many experimental works have been done, however there are many difficulties to get data in engine condition. This work gives numerical results for the high pressure effects on spray characteristics in wide or limited space with near walls. The gas phase is modelled by Eulerian continuum conservation equations of mass, momentum, energy and fuel vapour fraction. The liquid phase is modelled using the discrete droplet model approach in Lagrangian form and the drop behavior on a wall is calculated with a new droplet-wall interaction model based on the experiments observing individual drops. The droplet distributions, vapour fractions and gas flows are shown in various injection pressure cases. In free spray case which the injection spray has no wall impaction, the spray dispersion and vapour fraction increase and drop sizes decrease with increasing injection pressure. The same phenomena appears more clearly in wall impaction cases.

정압베어링에서 입구압력 및 틈새간격 변화에 따른 누설량의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Correlation of Leakage by the Variation of Inlet Pressure and Clearance in Hydrostatic Bearing)

  • This paper is the numerical study on the correlation of leakage by the variation of inlet pressure and clearance in hydrostatic bearing. The main goal of this study is to apply to the design of hydro system the results that the pocket pressure and the leakage rate according to the inlet pressure and the clearance between piston and cylinder tube. Because the hydrostatic bearing in hydraulic cylinder has the narrow rectangular channel between piston and cylinder tube, so to verify the numerical scheme, it has been compared with the experimental results of Brackbill and Kandlikar. The pressure data of numerical results inside narrow rectangular channel correlate was showed a good agreement with experimental results, thereby the numerical scheme was applied to the real model that is a hydraulic cylinder with the hydrostatic bearing. In conclusion, the pressure differences between inlet and pocket were shown within 3%. Leakage rates were showed rapidly increased pattern between about 4.5 and 6.7 times because the section area to calculate the leakage rates were proportioned to a square of diameter. The correlation equation was calculated among the inlet pressure, the clearance and the leakage rate by using the linear regression.

  • 현재까지 국내에서 운행되고 있는 고속철도차량용 창문은 전량 해외 제품의 수입에 의존하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고속철도차량의 주행도중에 발생되는 공기 압력 변동 값을 반복적으로 생성시킬 수 있고 국제적으로 통용되는 규격에 부합하는 압력 내구성 시험을 수행할 수 있는 시험기의 개발에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 따라서 향후 고속철도차량용 창문유리에 대한 압력 내구성시험기의 연구개발을 통하여 창유리의 국산화에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Sodium, Potassium 섭취와 성장기 혈압과의 관계 (Association of Blood Pressure with Sodium and Potassium Intake for Adolescents)

  • To investigate an effect of dietary sodium and potassium on blood pressure, 418 adolescents living in Kangwha area were studied. Two measurements were taken on each blood pressure(diastolic, systolic) and the average of the two readings was used in the analysis. Sodium and potassium intake were estimated by the determination of those electrolytes in 24hr urine. Not only dietary factors but also physical growth factors such as weight, height, arm-circumference and skinfold-thickness were induced in the stepwise multiple regression analysis to indentify the relative importance between the factors. The variation of blood pressure both in systolic and diastolic in both sexes was inconsistent with the levels of sodium and potassium intake. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that the physical growth were more influential than nutrient factor. It suggested that hypertension risk factors observed form the adults, may not be identical with that of the growing aged population. After control of the physical growth, there was no significant variation observed by the level of sodium and potassium intake on blood pressure. In summary, the results indicate that growth has been more influential than dietary factor on blood pressure for growing aged population.

  • In the present study, the variation of settlement, pore water pressure and undrained shear strength through model tests were measured. Also, the variation of water content, unit weight and shear strength by the vane shear tests were observed. In this study, appropriate deposit time of construction equipments used in treatment of hydraulic fills is determined from the prediction curve of increased shear strength in dredged fills.

  • A method to analyze the axisymmetric vibration and the internal pressure of the fluid filled, strength member embedded infinite cylindrical shell under the condition of axial static tension load applied is presented. As an example, the hose wall vibration and the internal pressure variation characteristics of a fluid filled infinite polyurethane hose are analyzed and dicussed, under the effects of the variation of the embedded strength members and the response positions.

  • It is known that the conductivity of fullerite depends on the applied pressure. In this paper we compare the variation of conductivity of three different fullerite structure with pressure. We examined $C_{60}$ powder, filled into thin glass capillaries and also studied fullerite nanotubules produced within etched swift heavy ion tracks in polymer foils. These investigations are compared with the results of planar Si-$C_{60}$-Au structures.

Al-Li/SiC 계면의 젖음성에 관한 연구 (A study on the wettability of the Al-Li/SiC interface)

  • The wetting behaviour of SiC/Al-Li composite interface has been investigated by using an infiltration method. The critical pressure for melt infiltration into SiC particulate preform has been determined by measuring the melt infiltration distance changes with the variation of applied pressure. The threshold pressure of pure Al, Al-0.2wt%Li, Al-0.5wt%Li for melt infiltration are 3.94, 3.93, $3.7Kg/cm^2$ respectively, which implies a slight improvement in wettability of SiC/Al composite by addition of Li. The threshold pressure for melt infiltration also changes with the variation of other parameters such SiC particulate size, SiC particulate fraction and melt temperature.
