In the year 2002, 11,202 cases of electrical fires caused 462 casualties and about 58 billion won of physical damages. The electrical accidents alone caused victimized 854 people, including 87 deaths. at present, no detailed statistics about electrical fires is available. Also, there is no statistics about electric shocks and electrical equipment accidents. the electrical accidents are on the increase, proportional to the increase of electrical use. Therefore, a statistical analysis of electrical accidents is required to understand the situation and take measures to prevent similar accidents.

This study deals with the dynamic transportation-inventory model for a single product from which the optimal procurement quantities and the transportation modes are determined simultaneously over a finite planning horizon. Moreover, it covers the situation where quantity discounts are applied to the transportation cost as well as the purchase cost and disposals of the excess are possible at the end of each period. For a relevant mathematical model formulated, the theorems and properties of an optimal solution are discussed to present the efficient algorithm. A numerical example is solved to illustrate the algorithm developed.

SDIAS (Single Doppler Image Analysis System), which can estimate the vertical wind profiles from single Doppler color displays, is developed here. Various single Doppler velocity signatures are simulated using horizontally uniform wind fields that vary with height. This system is very simple and efficient for interpreting the color displays. So, SDIAS can be used to get some useful informations on wind for understanding the present weather situation and forecast.

This paper review current situation of New Transit System (NTS) which mainly developed by the western countries. The paper classified NTS by it capacity, physical appearance, and so on. It reviewed the brief history of LRT, which became new guided transport system in terms of transport environment especially for transport handicapped. It also includes the merit of Linear Metro, which could be popular for the urban transport system. Finally, the paper prospects the future of NTS for the planning of urban transport system.

The present paper intends to explain the probable reasons and practical circumstances for the paucity of local scholars in the region in attaining international recognition as Southeast Asianists. Far from being an apologetic piece, on the contrary, our goal is to first ascertain the causal factors for the lacuna, and in turn, to propose hopeful and realistic panaceas in resolving and overcoming the dire situation. Why? The rationale and advantageous factors in nurturing Southeast Asians as Southeast Asianist follow in the later part of the paper.

Korean society is facing the situation in which it has to dramatically increase the supply of healthcare facilities for the elderly in the near future. Recently many nursing homes and geriatric hospitals have been supplied all over the country. But the data for planning and design of the facilities are very insufficient in Korea. So this paper aims to present the basic data for planning and design of skilled nursing homes. To do this we surveyed and analyzed 10 skilled nursing home facilities, and then present the compiled data from this analyses.

Although Medical Care System pays medical fee for each patients with the establishment of National Medicare System, patients cannot be equally benefited from hospitals. At present, the Korean government provides minimum requirements on medical facilities in enforcement of medical law, but it is not enough to guarantee the rights of patients. The purpose of this study is in search for the way to improve the minimum requirements of ward which will be needed to examine the present situation of general hospitals, to find out their problems, and to compare the law of medical facilities in korea.

With characteristics drawn in chapter three, this study show the present status of the architectural expressions in the contemporary house in Korea under its dematerialized situation. And like this, we know fur study about the relation between dematerialization and current architecture, still more Korean present condition.
