  • 반도체 장비나 산업용 정밀 머신 툴 등에서 고정밀 위치제어는 매우 중요하다. 고정밀 위치제어장치와 같은 미소단위로 이동하는 물체의 이동 거리나 위치를 측정하는 다양한 기기나 반도체 제조장치 등에서 고정밀도로 위치제어를 행하는 기기들의 위치 변위 검출에 대한 정확도는 제어기의 성능을 좌우하는 중요한 요소 중의 하나가 된다 본문에서는 기존의 저가형 광학식 엔코더의 전기적 회로 부분의 변형으로 디지털 신호 및 회절격자의 회절량에 대한 아날로그 신호를 기초로 하여 마이크로프로세스의 협력으로 고정도의 위치를 얻을 수 있는 새로운 방식의 위치검출기법을 제안하였다. 또한 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

Joint FrFT-FFT basis compressed sensing and adaptive iterative optimization for countering suppressive jamming

  • Accurate suppressive jamming is a prominent problem faced by radar equipment. It is difficult to solve signal detection problems for extremely low signal to noise ratios using traditional signal processing methods. In this study, a joint sensing dictionary based compressed sensing and adaptive iterative optimization algorithm is proposed to counter suppressive jamming in information domain. Prior information of the linear frequency modulation (LFM) and suppressive jamming signals are fully used by constructing a joint sensing dictionary. The jamming sensing dictionary is further adaptively optimized to perfectly match actual jamming signals. Finally, through the precise reconstruction of the jamming signal, high detection precision of the original LFM signal is realized. The construction of sensing dictionary adopts the Pei type fast fractional Fourier decomposition method, which serves as an efficient basis for the LFM signal. The proposed adaptive iterative optimization algorithm can solve grid mismatch problems brought on by undetermined signals and quickly achieve higher detection precision. The simulation results clearly show the effectiveness of the method.

화력 발전기 보일러 내부 작업자 위치 모니터링 시스템 개발 (The Monitoring System for Location of Workers Inside a Thermal Power Plant Boiler)

  • There are regularly planned overhaul periods in thermal power plants, which involve the maintenance of the boiler of the power plants. However, thermal power plants workers are always exposed to risk during overhaul periods owing to the narrow space and significant dust inside the boiler. Therefore, it is essential to develop a safety monitoring system that is suitable for operating in this type of environment. In this study, we developed not only a worker three-dimensional (3D)-location monitoring system that can monitor and record the entry/exit of workers, their 3D-location, and fall accidents but also a method to secure the working environment and operation efficiency. This system comprises of a worker tag, which was equipped with an inertial measurement unit, a barometric pressure sensor, and a Bluetooth low energy (BLE), and the tags were given to each worker. In addition, the location of workers inside the boiler was measured using a pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) method and BLE beacons. The location data of the workers tag were transmitted to the integrated database (DB) server through a gateway, and to the administrator monitoring system. The performance of the system was demonstrated inside an actual thermal power plant boiler, and the accuracy and reliability of the system were verified through a number of repeated tests. These results provide insights on designing a new system for monitoring enclosed spaces.

Fabrication Uncertainty and Noise Issues in High-Precision MEMS Actuators and Sensors

  • We present technical issues involved in the development of actuators and sensors for applications to high-precision Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS). The technical issues include fabrication uncertainty and noise disturbance, causing major difficulties for MEMS to achieve high-precision actuation and detection functions. For nano-precision actuators, we solve the fabrication instability and electrical noise problems using digital actuators coupled with nonlinear mechanical modulators. For the high-precision capacitive sensors, we present a branched finger electrodes using high-amplitude anti-phase sensing signals. We also demonstrate the potential applications of the nanoactuators and nanodetectors to high-precision positioning MEMS.

초정밀 비구면 가공용 CAM 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 연구 (The Development of CAM Software for Ultra-precision Aspheric Surface)

  • As consumer electronics, information, and aero-space industry grow, the demand for aspheric lens increases higher. To enhance the precision and productivity of aspheric surface, a CAM system for ultra-precision aspheric surface needs to be realized. In this study, the developed CAM system can generate NC code fur various aspheric surfaces fast and precisely by a new bi-arc interpolation method that the location of maximum error is fixed at an efficient point. The newly developed bi-arc meets the given tolerance more precisely, performs faster calculation. The cutting condition input module and the NC code verification module are adequate to ultra-precision machining, so that a operator can obtain products fast and easily.

정밀항법 시스템 설계 및 알고리즘 검증 (Design and Algorithm Verification of Precision Navigation System)

  • As GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) is used in various filed, many countries establish GNSS system independently. But GNSS system has the limitation of accuracy and stability in stand-alone mode, because this system has error elements which are ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay, orbit ephemeris error, satellite clock error, and etc. For overcome of accuracy limitation, the DGPS(Differential GPS) and RTK(Real-Time Kinematic) systems are proposed. These systems perform relative positioning using the reference and user receivers. ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) is developing precision navigation system in point of extension of GNSS usage. The precision navigation system is for providing the precision navigation solution to common users. If this technology is developed, GNSS system can be used in the fields which require precision positioning and control. In this paper, we introduce the precision navigation system and perform design and algorithm verification.

칼라 특징을 이용한 내용기반 화상검색시스템의 설계 및 구현 (The Design an Implementation of Content-based Image Retrieval System Using Color Features)

  • A content-based image retrieval system is designed and implemetned using the color featurees which are histogram intersection and color pairs. The preprocessor for the image retrieval manage linearly the existing HSI(hue, saturation, saturation, intensity). Hue and intensity histogram thresholding for each color attribute is performed to split the chromatic and achromatic regions respectively. Grouping te indexes produced by the histogram intersection is used to save the retrieval times. Each image is divided into the cells of 32$\times$32 pixels, and color pairs are used to represent the query during retrievals. The recall/precision of histogram intersection is 0.621/0.663 and recall/precision of color pairs is 0.438/0.536. And recall/precision of proposed method is 0.765/0.775/. It is shown that the proposed method using histogram intersection and color pairs improves the retrieval rates.

외란관측기를 이용한 유도전동기의 정밀 위치 제어 (Precision Position Control of Induction Motors Using Disturbance Observer)

  • 본 논문은 유도기의 정밀위치제어를 얻고자 외란 변화에 대하여 정밀위치 제어를 할 수 있는 외란 관측기를 적용하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 외란 변화에 대한 유도전동기의 정밀 제어에 강인함을 보이고 있다. 모든 게인의 튜닝은 디지털 제어 이론에 입각하여 이산 영역에서 구하였다. 또 시뮬레이션은 시뮬링크를 사용하여 그 구성을 매우 간편하게 하였다. DS1102 보드를 이용한 유도기 정밀위치 제어 결과는 제안된 시스템의 유용성을 보인다.

8비트 데이타 정밀도를 가지는 다층퍼셉트론의 역전파 학습 알고리즘 (Learning of multi-layer perceptrons with 8-bit data precision)

  • In this paper, we propose a learning method of multi-layer perceptrons (MLPs) with 8-bit data precision. The suggested method uses the cross-entropy cost function to remove the slope term of error signal in output layer. To decrease the possibility of overflows, we use 16-bit weighted sum results into the 8-bit data with appropriate range. In the forwared propagation, the range for bit-conversion is determined using the saturation property of sigmoid function. In the backwared propagation, the range for bit-conversion is derived using the probability density function of back-propagated signal. In a simulation study to classify hadwritten digits in the CEDAR database, our method shows similar generalization performance to the error back-propagation learning with 16-bit precision.
