전압형 PWM 컨버터 제어에의한 과도상태의 특성 개선 (The Improvement of Transient State Characteristics with Voltage Type PWM Conbverter Control)

  • 일반적으로 컨버터 장치로서 사용되고 있는 전력용 반도체 소자인 SCR이나 diode를 사용할 때 역률과 고조파의 문제를 야기 시킨다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 자기소호형 소자인 IGBT등을 사용하여 입력측 선전류를 입력 전원전압과 동상인 정현파 전류로 유지함으로써 역률과 고조파에 대한 문제를 해결 하였다. 본 논문에서는 컨버터 출력측 직류전압 제어기에 부하전류 전향보상기(feedforward compensator)를 부가하여 출력측에 다이오드 정류기가 부가된 단상 전압형 인버터를 부하로 사용하여 보상기 부가에 따른 과도상태특성을 개선하였으며 전압형 PWM 컨버터 제어에 의한 특성을 시뮬레이션 및 실험 결과를 통하여 확인 하였다.

주택인입구에 설치 가능한 소형전력품질보상장치에 관한 연구 (Study on Small Power Quality Compensator Installable at Home Power Inlet)

  • This paper proposes a small low-cost power quality compensator to be installed at the electricity supply inlet of residential customer. The compensator is composed of a single-phase active power filter with a simple controller using analog electronics, which can correct the power factor and damp out the harmonics. The operation and performance of proposed compensator was verified through simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC and experimental works with hardware prototype. The proposed compensator can offer reduction of power loss and improvement of power quality to the residential customer.

  • It is known that the reactive component of AC power in the Power system gives no energy to outside and causes enlargement of power apparatus, voltage fluctuation and unstability of power system. The power conversion system and control system which are composed of power semiconductor devices such as Thyrisor, transistor, GTO and so on have been appeared as new sources of Harmonics. So the reduction of harmonics in power semiconductor system is one of impending problems on the point of energy conservation and improvement of power factor. This paper treates the fundamental review of the harmonics reduction by Current type PWM-Inverter. This Inverter-detects not only the fundamental wave but also that of all harmonics created in the power semiconductor system and is scheduled to control by sampled value.

  • This paper proposes a minimum power factor control for maximum efficiency operation of an induction motor, under low load condition. Minimum input or maximum efficiency operation is achived by properly adjusting the amplitude of the stator voltage, with the three phase AC voltage controller. Through the simulation, the relationships between the delay angle and input power under various load conditions are examined. Experimental results are also given, which show good coincidence with the simulation results.

  • Although the picture quality of today's displays is very good already, a continuous improvement is desirable as the new larger display sizes increase the visibility of artifacts. A contributing factor for picture quality enhancement through smart video processing and algorithm design is the information gathered from video statistics. Interesting parameters gathered from video statistics are e.g. the image- and display load, the usage of the color gamut, the estimated power consumption and the occurrence of static image parts. Examples of applications that can benefit from video statistics are power calculations, color gamut mapping algorithms, dynamic backlight control for LCD panels and LED backlights for LCD panels.

Thyristor Switch를 사용한 무효전류 보상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reactive Current Compensation Using Thyristor Switch)

  • Improvement of power factor is achieved by reactive-current compensation, connecting power condenser to the circuit. This paper describes a method of reactive-current compensation, employing thyristor switching of capacitor banks without any breaker. This method reduces supply transients to the minimum by means of connecting condenser, because thyristor is triggered at zero point in condenser current. The reactive current detection and the experimental system to trigger thyristor at appropriate moment are given. IThe results show the fast reactive-current compensation on the condition of minimum transient.

자주포 보조동력장치 엔진 마운트 강도안전율 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Strength Safety Factor for K55A1 APU Engine Mounts)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the vibration characteristics and develop a mounting which can improve the strength safety factor to replace the high failure rate APU(auxiliary power unit) imported metal mounts with rubber mount that can be domestically produced. For this study, we analyzed in 3 kinds of rubber mounts hardness for the natural frequency to avoid the average excited frequency of the APU. In addition, allowed vibration acceleration of rubber mount confirmed to 90.8 g by adding a strength safety factor. To assure the validity of the design, we measure the vibration acceleration equipped with a metal mount and rubber mount 2 species(Hs 50 and 60). As a result, the proposed design method in this study is reasonable because the rubber mounts is excellent strength safety factor and vibration transmissibility than metal mounts.

바이스태틱 레이더의 시스템 불안정 요소들에 대한 분석 (Analysis of System Instability Factors in a Bistatic Radar)

  • In this paper, we have identified the system instability factors in a bistatic radar system using pulse chasing and considered their effects on the bistatic receiver's MTI(Moving Target Indication) improvement performance. The pulse chasing is a method to efficiently scan a restricted search area within the limited transmitter power and time in a bistatic radar and to track a series of transmitted pulses using the receiver beam which has ideally matched to the pulse propagation rate. In this paper, we have discussed the interrelationship between the pulse chasing and time and frequency/phase synchronization and described the effects of the identified system instability factors on two kinds of MTI filter configuration, single delay-line and double delay-line, in the bistatic radar. And also, we have confirmed that the overall system improvement is restricted by a lower improvement factor among identified them, and discussed the allowable tolerance of the time and frequency/phase synchronization in the bistatic system.

하이브리드 자동차용 모터 및 인버터 최신 동향 분석 (Recent Progress Trend in Motor and Inverter for Hybrid Vehicle)

  • Many efforts have focused on the improvement of power density and efficiency by downsizing the motor and inverter. Recently, Toyota, Honda, and GM realized that the compact-sized motor uses the hairpin structure with increased space factor. Reducing the maximum torque from high-speed technique also makes it possible to design the high-power density model. Toyota and Honda used the newly developed power semiconductor IGBT to decrease conduction loss for high-efficiency inverter. In particular, Toyota used the boost converter to increase the DC link voltage for high efficiency in low-torque high-speed region. Toyota and GM also used the double-sided cooling structure for miniaturization of inverter for high-power density.
