반주기 변조된 송신파형과 대지전위 측정을 이용한 지중 케이블 누전 고장점 탐지 시스템 (Electric Leakage Point Detection System of Underground Power Cable Using Half-period Modulated Transmission Waveform and Earth Electric Potential Measurement)

  • The precise detection of electric leakage point of underground power cable is very important to reduce cost and time of maintenance and prevent electric shock accident through expedite repair of electric leakage point. This paper proposes a electric leakage point detection system underground power cable using of half-period modulated transmission waveform and earth electric potential measurement. The developed system is composed of transmitter to generate the wanted pulse waveform, receiver to measure and display earth electric potential by the transmitted pulse in electric leakage point and PC Software program to display of GPS coordinate on detection cable line. The performance of the electric leakage point detection system was tested in the constructed underground cable leakage detection test bed. The test results on signal generation voltage precision of signal transmitter, mean detection earth voltage, mean detection leakage current and electric leakage point detection error showed the developed system can be used in electric leakage point detection underground power cable.

전력용 변압기 초음파 측정시스템 적용 (Application of the Ultrasonic Detection System for the Power Transformer)

  • This paper describes the application results of an ultrasonic detection system for the power transformer. The ultrasonic detection system with 6 sensors was applied to detect partial discharge in a 154kV transformer with a dangerous levels of $C_{2}H_{2},\;C_{2}H_4$ and $CH_{4}$ gases. The ultrasonic detection tests were carried out 2 times, respectively, to confirm the existence and location of the partial discharge in the transformer. As a result of internal inspection, the arc trace between the pressure ring and core due to the partial discharge was found at the estimated position based on the amplitude and arriving time of the ultrasonic signals. Therefore, it was verified that the ultrasonic detection system is effective as a preventive diagnosis method for the power transformer. Also, the reliability of the ultrasonic detection system in detecting partial discharges in the transformer was also confirmed. It is expected, therefore, that the ultrasonic detection system will have beneficial effects on applications and verifications in detecting partial discharges for the power transformer.

  • Harmonics and fundamental reactive power of nonlinear loads in serious unbalanced power condition are compensated by current synchronous detection(CSD) theory which is also acceptable for single phase power system, but the CSD theory is not suitable any more in case of controlled independently harmonics and reactive component. Therefore a new algorithm the extended current synchronous detection (ECSD)theory for a three phase active power filter based on decomposition of fundamental reactive distorted components is proposed in this paper. The proposed ECSD theory is simulated and tested comparison with a few power theories under asymmtrical condition in power system.

  • PV system's islanding occurs when the uitilty grid is removed but local sources continue to operate and provide power to local loads. Islanding is one of the serious problems in an electric power system connected with dispersed power sources. Also, this can present safety hazards and the possibility of damage to other electric equipments. If the real and reactive power of RLC load and PV system are closely matched, islanding detection by passive methods becomes difficult. This paper shows the simulation and comparision for the previous active methods and novel islanding detection method using frequency drift is proposed for grid-connected PV system.

  • Lightning induced faults accounts for more than 66% at the transmission lines of KEPCO. The lightning causes damages to power system equipments including transmission line, the blackout of electricity and the electro-magnetic interference. Because of this reason, we need the real time lightning information for the optimal operation of power system. And, it is required to obtain and accumulate the lightning current parameters for the insulation design. In 2005, KEPRI constructed a lightning detection network, the KLDNet (i.e. Kepco Lightning Detection & Information System) and launched a lightning information service for KEPCO customers. It is intended to provide data service on the operation of transmission lines and collect lightning-related data, which is the most important factor regulating power system design and operation. The new system will replace LPATS, the old detection system, which has been operating since 1995 and is rapidly failing in terms of both detection performance and location accuracy. The purpose of this paper is to explain the work performed and the results of that work in performing a site survey of several locations. The purpose of the site survey is to find locations acceptable for the installation of a lightning location receiver in support of a Lightning detection system(LDS). A restriction was placed on the surveyed locations, as they must belong to the Korea Electric Power Company. This requirement was made to facilitate the communication needs of the LDS network. Total of 15 sites were evaluated as possible LDS sensor sites. Some of the sites were rejected for physical reasons and therefore no electrical testing was performed. Of the 15 sites, total of 10 sites were considered acceptable and 5 sites were rejected for various reason. In this paper, we would like to explain the site survey and detection efficiency for LDS.

  • 본 논문에서는 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템의 고립운전방지를 위한 새로운 고리운전 검출기법을 연구한다. 이를 위하여 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템 및 고립운전시의 특성에 대하여 기술하였다. 또한 고립운전의 검출특성을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 검출기법을 제시하고 해석하였으며 검출시험을 위한 부하조건 선정을 위한 부하임피던스 곡선을 해석적으로 유포하였다 ACSL 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 제시한 고립운전 검출기법 및 해석결과를 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new method of detecting faults for a power converter unit in Control Rod Control System. The faults of a power converter unit can exert harmful influence upon the operation of Control Rod Drive Mechanisms and the control of the reactor output. This situation makes the quick and correct detection of failures in a power converter unit very important. We devise a new method of fault detection for the digital power controller and improve the drawbacks of the existing fault detector.

  • This paper describes on the development of power detection system with one-chip microcontroller. The designed system is composed of power detection circuits and analyzing software. The system detects, 3-phases voltage, 3-phases current, external temperature, leakage current and stores in flash memory. AT89C52 was used as CPU and AM29F040B was used as memory to store the data. The analysis saftware was developed to detect the cause of the electrical fire incidents. With a data-compression technology, the data can be stored for the 43.5 days in a normal state, four hours and fifteen minutes in emergency state.

실내 무선 채널에서 전력검출 기반 Noncoherent OOK UWB 시스템의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of a Noncoherent OOK UWB System Based on Power Detection in Indoor Wireless Channels)

  • 본 논문에서는 향후 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크 응용 등에 적합하도록 간단한 송수신기 구조를 유지하면서, 실제 데이터를 전송하기 전에 Noise Power Calibration 및 Noise Power Windowing 방법을 통해 잡음의 영향을 고려하여 적응적인 임계값을 결정하고 이를 이용하여 전력검출 (Power Detection)을 수행하여 성능을 향상하는 임펄스 라디오 (Impulse Radio) 형태의 Noncoherent OOK (On-Off Keying) UWB (Ultra Wide Band) 시스템을 제시하고, 전형적인 UWB 실내 무선 채널 모델에서의 성능을 분석하였다. 모의실험 결과 AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) 채널에서는 Noise Power Calibration 모드를 위한 슬롯수의 증가에 따라 이상적인 Ideal Adaptive Threshold를 사용하는 경우께 근접하는 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있었고, 반면 데이터 전송률의 큰 감소를 감수해야 하는 Noise Power Windowing 방법에 의한 성능 개선은 두드러지게 나타나지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 더욱이 IEEE 802.15 Task Group 3a UWB 실내 채널 모델을 이용한 모의실험 결과, Noise Power Calibration 모드가 적용된 Noncoherent OOK UWB 시스템의 성능이 Ideal Adaptive Threshold의 경우와 비트오율 성능이 매우 근접하며, 펄스 반복 전송의 회수의 증가에 따라 비트오율 성능이 향상됨을 확인 할 수 있었다.

실시간 비정형객체 인식 기법 기반 지능형 이상 탐지 시스템에 관한 연구 (Research on Intelligent Anomaly Detection System Based on Real-Time Unstructured Object Recognition Technique)

  • Recently, the demand to interpret image data with artificial intelligence in various fields is rapidly increasing. Object recognition and detection techniques using deep learning are mainly used, and video integration analysis to determine unstructured object recognition is a particularly important problem. In the case of natural disasters or social disasters, there is a limit to the object recognition structure alone because it has an unstructured shape. In this paper, we propose intelligent video integration analysis system that can recognize unstructured objects based on video turning point and object detection. We also introduce a method to apply and evaluate object recognition using virtual augmented images from 2D to 3D through GAN.
