To mitigate the environmental impacts of the energy sector, the government of South Korea has made a continuous effort to facilitate the development and commercialization of renewable energy. As a result, the efficiency of renewable energy plants is not a consideration in the potential site selection process. To contribute to the overall sustainability of this increasingly important sector, this study utilizes the Black-Scholes model to evaluate the economic value of potential sites for off-site wind farms, while analyzing the environmental mitigation of these potential sites in terms of carbon emission reduction. In order to incorporate the importance of flexibility and uncertainty factors in the evaluation process, this study has developed a site evaluation model focused on system dynamics and real option approaches that compares the expected revenue and expected cost during the life cycle of off-site wind farm sites. Using sensitivity analysis, this study further investigates two uncertainty factors (namely, investment cost and wind energy production) on the economic value and carbon emission reduction of potential wind farm locations.

When high surge voltage invaded into the ground rod contacted with ground water, the ionization phenomena are happened in the water. Although some researchers have surveyed the ionization phenomena in soil, they have just analyzed the variation of the ground resistance. The most important role of the ground rod is to elect human beings from potential rise and to dissipate energy to the earth safely. In this wort we presented the method evaluating the potential reduction and energy dispersion. Also we analyzed theses factors as a function of charging voltages at the water resistivity of $50\;{\Omega}{\cdot}m$ using the Matlab Program. As a result the ground rod potential was reduced to 38 kV by ionization just below breakdown voltage. The energy more than half of the total injected energy was dispersed through the grounding electrode caused due to ionization.

Nanogels are internally cross-linked particles of sub-micrometer size made of hydrophilic polymers and are considered a distinct type of macromolecules, compared with linear and branched polymers or macroscopic gels. In this study, we studied a method of radiation induced synthesis of nanogels, which allows us to obtain tailored intra-molecularly crosslinked macromolecules of independently chosen molecular weight and dimensions. Thus, we report the possibility of applying the prepared nanogels using poly(acrylic acid) through electron beam irradiation for potential application as biomaterials. The nanogels were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, the size and zeta-potential of nanogels were measured by a particle size analyzer (PSA). The nanogels were prepared at an approximate size of 180 nm at 100 kGy and were spherical in shapes. The size of the nanogels decreased with increasing irradiation doses, and the absolute value of zeta potential increased with increasing irradiation doses.

The significance of renewable energy has been on the rise, as evidenced by the 3020 renewable energy plan and the 2050 carbon neutrality strategy, which seek to advance a low-carbon economy by implementing a power supply strategy centered around renewable energy sources. This study examines the wind resources on the west coast of South Korea and confirms the potential for wind power generation in the area. Wind speed data was collected from 22 automatic weather system stations and four light house automatic weather system stations provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration to evaluate potential sites for wind farms. Weibull distribution was used to analyze the wind data and calculate wind power density. Annual energy production and capacity factors were estimated for 15-20 MW-class large wind turbines through the height correction of observed wind speeds. These findings offer valuable information for selecting wind power generation sites, predicting economic feasibility, and determining optimal equipment capacity for future wind power generation sites in the region.
While the demand for energy has shown a sharp increase recently, the supply seems to be limited by the fact that the conventional fossil fuel energy or nuclear energy has its own environmental problems such as, for example, global warming or nuclear waste disposal. To overcome such limited supply of energy, the utilization of natural thermal energy such as river water and seawater as well as treated sewage can be a substantial supplement. The potential use of the unused energy has become more and more feasible these days as the heat pump technology has been advanced. In the present study, the unused energy resources are estimated on regional and monthly basis for each resource by the method proposed here in order to establish the fundamental data for its utilization. The potential use of the unused energy is a1so discussed.
Vietnam is endowed with multiform new and renewable energy resources. However, potential of new and renewable resources in Vietnam has not been completely assessed. Although the Government has embarked several programs to expand the use of these resources, the share of new and renewable energy in total commercial energy is still insignificant. The purpose of this study is to summarize potential and current development status as well as the prospect of new and renewable energy. Identification of barriers that are the hindrances in the development of new and renewable energy would suggest measures to future commercialization of new and renewable energy.
A simple pendulum shows how efficient gravity is in recovering energy. Any transportation is a linearly oscillating system; every load gains kinetic energy, but loses the same to come to a stop. The Gravity Power Towers comprise of a set of vertically moving heavy masses coupled, through microprocessor controlled continuously variable gear and cable system, to a horizontally rolling unit on wheels either on rail or road. The heavy masses move vertically up against gravity gaining potential energy while stopping a moving mass; move down under gravity force, giving out energy. The Tower thus accelerates or sustains the speed a rolling unit, and while decelerating, recover the kinetic energy. Speeds of 360 kmph can be attained. Recovery of energy varies from 98.5-70%; the longer the distance between stops, the lesser is recovery. The economical, omnipresent & eternal Gravity Power grants energy independence to many a nation. Global warming reduces.
Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as a highly promising energy harvesting technology capable of harnessing mechanical energy from various environmental vibrations. Their versatility in material selection and efficient conversion of mechanical energy into electric energy make them particularly attractive. TENGs can serve as a valuable technology for self-powered sensor operation in preparation for the IoT era. Additionally, they demonstrate potential for diverse applications, including energy sources for implanted medical devices (IMDs), neural therapy, and wound healing. In this review, we summarize the potential use of this universally applicable triboelectric energy harvesting technology in the disinfection and blocking of pathogens. By integrating triboelectric energy harvesting technology into human clothing, masks, and other accessories, we propose the possibility of blocking pathogens, along with technologies for removing airborne or waterborne infectious agents. Through this, we suggest that triboelectric energy harvesting technology could be an efficient alternative to existing pathogen removal technologies in the future.

Wave Energy is a derivative of the solar energy input to the earth, which is accumulated on open water surfaces by the action of the winds Waves are disturbances in the water surface. This paper is interested primarily in progressive waves, which carry energy from one place to another Waves are irregular in size and frequency. Moreover the surface of the sea is one of the most hostile environments for engineering structures and materials. The idea of harnessing the tremendous power of the ocean's waves is not new. Hundreds of wave energy conversion techniques have been suggested over the last two centuries. Although many WECS (Wave Energy Conversion Systems) have been invented, only a few systems have been tested and evaluated. This paper describes the characteristic of WES (Wave Energy System) in terms of, devices, resource and potential, etc.. Finally, this paper provides a summary of general and specific conclusions and recommendations concerning WECS potential in Korea.
We solve the Klein-Gordon equation with the modified Rosen-Morse potential energy model. The bound state energy equation has been obtained by using the supersymmetric shape invariance approach. The relativistic vibrational transition frequencies for the $6^1{\Pi}_u$ state of the $^7Li_2$ molecule have been computed by using the modified Rosen-Morse potential model. The calculated relativistic vibrational transition frequencies are in good agreement with the experimental RKR values.
