Having gone through socioeconomic changes from an agricultural to a post-industrial society, mental health system accordingly has been changed. In Korea where the socioeconomic change has been so rapid, the mental health system and law have been behind the socioeconomic system. Post-industrial society needs more humanized and advanced mental health system, however, Korean mental health law reflects ideology of Korean society in industrial age. This paper attempts to assess the significance Korea's Mental Health Law against the backdrop of socioeconomic changes. A substantial part of the report is devoted to identifying discrepancies between Korea's Mental Health Law and the perspectives of post-industrial ideology and areas for improvement. Improvement in mental health law should take place in line with the changes occurring in socioeconomic environments, the social concept of family, and the public awareness of human rights. Korea's mental health law should be changed in a way to improve hospitalization procedure for people with mental illness, promote the opening of mental health facilities and improve the quality of the lives of the mentally ill. Further changes are deemed necessary in the public and media view of mental illness. Also, the national budget will have to be increased with a view to raise the social rights of those with mental illness to receive quality rehabilitation services.

Emerging social networking services provide a new paradigm for human-to-human communication. However, these services are centralized and managed by single service provider. In this paper, we propose MicroPost, a decentralized event notification service architecture for social applications based on publish/subscribe model. In our design space, event brokers are structured as an overlay network which provides the substrate of distributed peer-to-peer lookup service for storing and retrieving subscriptions with hashed keys. Event clients interact with event brokers to publish or subscribe social messages over the wide-area network. Using XML standards, we present an efficient algorithm to forward events for rendezvous-based matching in this paper. In our design space, the cost of routing is O(${\omega}log_kN$), where N is the number of event brokers, ${\omega}$ is the number of meta-data obtained from event messages, and k is a constant, which is selected by our design, to divide the identifier space and to conquer the lookup of given key. Consequently, what we achieved is an asynchronous social messaging service architecture which is decentralized, efficient, scalable, and flexible.

This paper proposes an automatic composition method using the training capability of artificial neural networks and chord progression rules that are widely used by human composers. After training a given song, the new melody is generated by the trained artificial neural networks through applying a different initial melody to the neural networks. The generated melody should be modified to fit the rhythm and chord progression rules for generating natural melody. In order to achieve this object, we devised a post-processing method such as chord candidate generation, chord progression, and melody correction. From some tests we could find that the melody after the post-processing was very improved from the melody generated by artificial neural networks. This enables our composition system to generate a melody which is similar to those generated by human composers.

Recent breakthroughs in functional neuroimaging techniques have launched the quest of mapping the connections of the human brain, otherwise known as the human connectome. Imaging connectomics is an umbrella term that refers to the neuroimaging techniques used to generate these maps, which recently has enabled comprehensive brain mapping of network connectivity combined with graph theoretic methods. In this review, we present an overview of the key concepts in functional connectomics. Furthermore, we discuss articles that applied task-based and/or resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging to examine network deficits in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). These studies have provided important insights regarding the etiology of PTSD, as well as the overall organization of the brain network. Advances in functional connectomics are expected to provide insight into the pathophysiology and the development of biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment of PTSD.

The purposes of this current study were to develop a pre-parent education class for university students and to examine the difference in their beliefs after the program. The subjects of this study were 86 students who were selected from one university in Kyunggido, South Korea. Students had pre-test and post-test to measure the changes caused by the program. Two instruments were used: Beliefs of Appropriate Education and Child Rearing Attitudes. The results of this study were as following: In the post-test, students showed higher scores on affectionate child rearing attitudes. More specifically, students endorsed expression of affection toward a child, positive mother-child relationship, emotional involvement, giving a child equal right after having pre-parent education class. In terms of beliefs on appropriate education, in the post-test students became put more value on process, child, play, experience- oriented learning compared to their pre-test scores. In sum, this pre-parent education class is an effective one, which improve future parents' beliefs and attitudes on appropriate education and child rearing practices.

The purpose of this study was to examine post-divorce adjustment and new partnership of immigrant single mother after divorce. 4 immigrant single mothers from Vietnam were interviewed and data were analyzed by qualitative method. The results were as follows. First, immigrant single mothers coped with stress after divorce through sending their children to Vietnam, working and remittance. Second, they began dating a new man in the work place who were of various nationalities, such as Korean, Vietnamese, Uzbekistan and developed partnership to remarry, cohabit or date with deep intimacy. Third, single immigrant mothers in various partnership like remarriage, cohabitation or dating were satisfied with intimate and loving relationships and support from both sides parents and the birth of new child. However, participants were anxious about the new partner's favoritism toward the biological child and discrimination against the new partner with an unfamiliar cultural background, for example, being from a like a Muslim country. The results suggested immigrant women after divorce showed various partnership on a path towards marriage and that we should pay attention to the aspects of change in multicultural families after divorce.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group art therapy on increasing Self-Supporting Recipients Women's well-being and on decreasing their depression. This group art therapy program model was developed based on problem -solving theory and art therapy theory. This program was consisted of 15 session with 9 women focused on self understanding through perception of multiple problems of self-supporting recipients women. Dependent variables were index of well-being and depression. The results were as follows. This program showed the significant differences between post-test and pre-test scores in the scale of well-being and depression. Also that showed the significant difference between follow-up and post test score in the scales of well-being, but there is no difference between follow-up and post test. In Conclusion, group art therapy employed for this study have significant effects of increasing well-being and decreasing depression.

ARF is a tumor suppressor protein that has a pivotal role in the prevention of cancer development through regulating cell proliferation, senescence, and apoptosis. As a factor that induces senescence, the role of ARF as a tumor suppressor is closely linked to the p53-MDM2 axis, which is a key process that restrains tumor formation. Thus, many cancer cells either lack a functional ARF or p53, which enables them to evade cell oncogenic stress-mediated cycle arrest, senescence, or apoptosis. In particular, the ARF gene is a frequent target of genetic and epigenetic alterations including promoter hyper-methylation or gene deletion. However, as many cancer cells still express ARF, pathways that negatively modulate transcriptional or post-translational regulation of ARF could be potentially important means for cancer cells to induce cellular proliferation. These recent findings of regulators affecting ARF protein stability along with its low levels in numerous human cancers indicate the significance of an ARF post-translational mechanism in cancers. Novel findings of regulators stimulating or suppressing ARF function would provide new therapeutic targets to manage cancer- and senescence-related diseases. In this review, we present the current knowledge on the regulation and alterations of ARF expression in human cancers, and indicate the importance of regulators of ARF as a prognostic marker and in potential therapeutic strategies.

To put it simply, thing theory is a study of meaningful capacities of materiality. Although T. S. Eliot regarded pathetic fallacy as the bad example of objective correlatives in his modernism poetry theory, it is clear that many objects in literary works reflect diverse human desires. Among many, Victorian sensation novels are the most distinct genre where the various paraphernalia in them indicate the distorted and exaggerated greed of the industrial revolution era. Whereas the male protagonists are usually related with the norms objects of authority such as portrait and locket, the female characters' connection with cosmetics and white dress shows their oppressed and fragile position in the patriarchal and hierarchical society. In the (post)modern society, the ambiguity of things has grown rapidly due to the increasing discrepancy between objects and things. In special, the new journalism and the psychological realism novels often reveal the post-truth phenomenon because consumerized audience depend more upon the attraction and affect than the mere evidence and facts. For the individual, according to object relations theory, these alternative facts are rather internalized into their mind as the internal object when they are motivated by the non/contact with primary caregivers in their childhood. The dominant material imagery in (post)modern fiction becomes the site of resistance because of their reconstructed and extended meaning. The object relations theory and thing theory can be effectively used to uncover the complicated meanings of desired objects by using the human-object's meaningful relations and early mental images that are secretly alive still in the present.

This study is to explore the Post-modern fashion image appeared in the costumes of the movie $\ulcorner$Matrix2-Reloaded$\lrcorner$, which is believed to adapt successfully the Postmodernism ideas on screen. From this study, we can find that the movie costumes express certain formative characteristics considerably affected by the contemporary fashion trends such as Minimalism, Formalism, Futurism, Ethno-eclecticism, Asexualism. These are mostly common tendencies aroused in the complex and pluralistic circumstances of Postmodernism where many diverse values are equally regarded. Finally, the 5 trends lead to represent the following symbolic meanings with entanglement in multiplex ways, that is Virtual Reality, Mechanic Artificiality, Human Dignity, Mysticism, Multi-Culturism, and Nonsexuality to create a strong unified imagery and style in that Post-modern movie.
