BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Depression and anxiety are common mental health problems. Anthocyanins from berries might have an inhibitory effect on monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes and alleviate various mood and anxiety symptoms. This study examined the effects of a daily supplement of an anthocyanin-rich product on mental health problems. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study was a secondary analysis from a randomized, 6-week, open-label trial in 300 healthy participants aged 18-60 years who consumed 1 or 2 servings of anthocyanin-rich mulberry milk daily. The General Health Questionnaire-28 (GHQ-28) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) were used to monitor mental health problems. In addition, the saliva activity levels of MAO-A, MAO-B, and cortisol were examined at the baseline and after 6 weeks. RESULTS: The total scores of the GHQ-28 and HADS and all their subscales decreased in both groups (all P < 0.05). The cortisol, MAO-A, and MAO-B activities decreased significantly (all P < 0.05), but there were no significant differences between the groups (all P > 0.05). Significant correlations were noted between the decreased activity level of MAO-A enzyme and decreased scores from the GHQ-28 somatic subscale and the HADS depression subscale (all P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Daily consumption of anthocyanin-rich mulberry milk possibly improves mental health problems by reducing depressive and anxiety symptoms in the working population. The suppression of MAO-A activity is a possible underlying mechanism.

Purpose: This study aumed to identify the effects of job satisfaction, nursing organizational culture and social support on intention retention among general hospital nurses. Methods: The subjects were 254 nurses working in one general hospital. Data were collected from January 1 to 30, 2023. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: (a) In this study, the mean value of job satisfaction was 3.07±0.43, relation-oriented culture was 3.45±0.51, hierarchy-oriented culture was 3.39±0.49, task-oriented culture was 3.35±0.48, innovation-oriented culture was 3.00±0.46, social support was 3.75±0.49, and intention retention was 4.98±1.39. (b) Intention retention had a positive correlation with job satisfaction (r=.41, p<.001), social support (r=.29, p<.001), innovation-oriented culture (r=.29, p<.001), relation-oriented culture (r=.20, p=.001), and hierarchy-oriented culture (r=.18, p=.002). (c) Factors that affect intention retention include job satisfaction (β=.41, p<.001), Working type (Non-shift) (β=.18, p=.001), Nursing job selection (Recommendation, employment) (β=-.16, p=.003), and the explanation power was 23.1% (F=9.43, p<.001). Conclusion: Our study shows that job satisfaction plays a significant role in the intention retention of nurses. It is important to strengthen job satisfaction to increase the retention of nurses. The results of this study may serve as basic data for the development of strategies to improve intention retention in nurses.
Purpose: This study is descriptive research to examine the effects of the clinical nurse's character and nursing informatics competencies of nurses working at veterans hospitals on their nursing performance. Methods: Data were collected from 192 nurses with over one year of clinical experience working at three veterans' hospitals in B, D, and G Metropolitan from September 6 to September 30, 2021. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 25.0 program in descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The Scheffé test was used as a post hoc test. Results: Nursing performance had a statistically significant positive correlation with the clinical nurse's character (r=.69, p<.001) and nursing informatics competency (r=.73, p<.001). The study results showed that nursing informatics competency (β=.49, p<.001) and the clinical nurse's character (β=.41, p<.001) significantly affected nursing performance. The total explanatory power of these variables was 62.4% (F=32.26, p<.001). Conclusion: The above results of this study show that the most significant factors in nursing performance are nursing information competency and the clinical nurse's character exhibit better nursing performance. Programs for improving nursing informatics competency and implementation methods need to be developed to improve nursing performance. It is also necessary to apply an effective clinical nurse's character program to enhance the level of the clinical nurse's character.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of the abutment superimposition process on the final virtual model in the scanning process of single and 3-units bridge model using a dental model scanner. Materials and methods: A gypsum model for single and 3-unit bridges was manufactured for evaluating. And working casts with removable dies were made using Pindex system. A dental model scanner (3Shape E1 scanner) was used to obtain CAD reference model (CRM) and CAD test model (CTM). The CRM was scanned without removing after dividing the abutments in the working cast. Then, CTM was scanned with separated from the divided abutments and superimposed on the CRM (n=20). Finally, three-dimensional analysis software (Geomagic control X) was used to analyze the root mean square (RMS) and Mann-Whitney U test was used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The RMS mean abutment for single full crown preparation was $10.93{\mu}m$ and the RMS average abutment for 3 unit bridge preparation was $6.9{\mu}m$. The RMS mean of the two groups showed statistically significant differences (P<.001). In addition, errors of positive and negative of two groups averaged $9.83{\mu}m$, $-6.79{\mu}m$ and 3-units bridge abutment $6.22{\mu}m$, $-3.3{\mu}m$, respectively. The mean values of the errors of positive and negative of two groups were all statistically significantly lower in 3-unit bridge abutments (P<.001). Conclusion: Although the number of abutments increased during the scan process of the working cast with removable dies, the error due to the superimposition of abutments did not increase. There was also a significantly higher error in single abutments, but within the range of clinically acceptable scan accuracy.
Purpose - Our research aims to investigate the mediating effect of employee creativity on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and job performance using relationship using Chinese department salespeople samples. Another objective of this study is to be clear boundary conditions that strengthen or weaken the effects of intrinsic motivation on work outcomes (i.e., employee creativity and job performance). Drawing on JD-R theory, we suggest that the two types of coworker support play differential moderating roles in the intrinsic motivation, employee creativity relationship by increasing or decreasing job resources and demands in different ways. Research design, data, and methodology - This empirical study data were collected from gathered from a sample of full time salespeople in China. A total of 550 questionnaires were distributed and 300 responses were collected, indicating a response rate of 84.0%. Working with a sample of 300 salespeople working in a department store in China. SPSS 18.0, Process 2.16 Macro, and M-Plus 8.0 software were used in the data analysis. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate the distribution of the employee profiles and correlations between variables. M-Plus 8.0 software was used to test the model fit, validity and reliability of the variables. Finally, all research hypotheses was estimated by SPSS Macro 2.16. Results - To test our research hypotheses, we employed an analytical strategy suggested by Hayes (2013; 2015) and Shrout and Bolger (2002). In this study, we tested the relationship between intrinsic motivation and job performance throughout employee creativity. Results showed intrinsic motivation and job performance was partially mediated by employee creativity. The positive relationship between intrinsic motivation and employee creativity when coworker emotional support was high than when it was low. In contrast, the positive association between intrinsic motivation and employee creativity was stronger when coworker instrumental support was low than when it was high. Coworker emotional and instrumental support further moderated the indirect effect of intrinsic motivation on job performance through employee creativity. Conclusions - This study extends the conceptual model and empirical researches in coworker supports literature by representing a fundamental mechanism of how salespeople's intrinsic motivation and job performance throughout employee creativity.

This study examined the type and extent of interruption between induced emotion and succeeding arithmetic operation. The experiment was carried out to determine the influence of the induced emotions (anger, joy, and sorrow) and stimulus types (picture and sentence) on the cognitive process load that may block the interactions among the constituents of working memory. The study subjects were 32 undergraduates who were similar with respect to age and education parameters and were especially instructed to attend to induced emotion by imitation of facial expression and to make a correct decision during the remainder calculation task. In the results, the stimulus types did not exhibit any difference but there was a significant difference among the induced emotion types. The difference was observed in slower response time at positive emotion(joy condition) as compared with other emotions(anger and sorrow). More specifically, error and delayed correct response rate for emotion types were analysed to determine which phase the slower response was associated with. Delayed responses of the joy condition by sentence-inducing stimulus were identified with the error rate difference, and those by picture-inducing stimulus with the delayed correct response rate. These findings not only suggest that induced positive emotion increased response time compared to negative emotions, but also imply that picture-inducing stimulus easily affords arithmetic fluctuation whereas sentence-inducing stimulus results in arithmetic failure.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of professional attitude and image of dental hygienist in dental hygiene students. Data were obtained from 753 dental hygiene students from 3 colleges and 1 university located in Kyungki-do and Kangwon-do. The results, derived from using the SPSS 10.0 were as follows: 1. The level of professional attitude was 3.47 point, the level of image was 3.24 point. 2. Among the professional attitude, first grade, inexperience of practice experimental, dental hospital or general hospital of work choice, continuation of working period, recommend to family or relatives and professional mind of job are the each highest one. 3. Among the Image, first grade, inexperience of practice experimental, dental hospital or general hospital of work choice, continuation of working period, recommend to family or relatives and professional mind of job are the each highest one. 4. The correlation between professional attitude and image of dental hygienist in dental hygiene students was shown statistically significant positive relationship.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to understand the formation of organizational relationship necessary to the correct operation of daycare centers through the relations between mulitpliership of daycare directors, and teachers cooperation and colleague support of childcare teachers. Methods: The subjects in this study were 234 childcare center teachers in Seoul and Gyoungi Province in South Korea. Two different inventories were utilized. Multipliership scale, teacher cooperation scale and colleague support scale were used. As for data analysis, the frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted through SPSS 20.0 program. Results: First, the sub-factors of multipliership of daycare center directors such as working joyfully, settling productive discussion, increasing unity of members, and establishing personal value culture in order were the preceding factors having positive effects on the teachers cooperation of childcare teachers. Second, the sub-factors of multipliership of daycare center directors such as settling productive discussion, establishing personal value culture, working joyfully, and increasing unity of members in order were the preceding factors having positive effects on the colleague support of childcare teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggests researches improve the quality of childcare, and also researches on the development of programs enhancing multipliership.
This research is on the relationship among organizational communication and organizational citizenship behavior focused on the moderating effect of transformational leadership. The objective of this research is to conduct positive verification of organizational communication impacting on organizational citizenship behavior. Also, to perform positive verification on moderating effect of transformational leadership. The variables are downward communication, upward communication, unofficial communication, organizational citizenship behavior including participatory actions, altruistic behavior, mindful behaviors, and transformational leadership. It was verified on survey of 232 peoples. The verification and analysis results will be provided to impact of organizational communication on organizational citizenship behavior, the downward communication impacts all elements of citizens' behaviors, and upward communication impacts of participatory actions. On the other hand, the unofficial communication did not impact at all. Moreover the results of moderating effect of transformational leadership. The transformational leadership act as moderator in downward, upward communications. but did not act as a moderator on the unofficial communication. The research suggests to use transformational leaderships to commanders and leaderships at military organizations to put efforts on active communication in order to manage unit more effectively and efficiently and to make members of organization to voluntarily. It is assessed that this paper will serve as a reference to whoever in military reform group or organization working for military developments working for creating elite forces.
The purpose of this study is to suggest importance of emotional intelligence by studying effects between emotional intelligence and job crafting; the research was conducted among employees working for organizations. Especially this empirical study proves mediating effect of self-efficacy, and moderating effect of career growth opportunities in relationship between emotional intelligence and job crafting. The survey was conducted for employees; 341 answers were used from total population and were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 statistics package. The study concludes that emotional intelligence has positive influence (+) on job crafting of employee. Positive influence was found in the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy, and job crafting as well. The study also proves mediating effect of self-efficacy. Moreover it is likely that career growth opportunities have moderating effect in the relationship between self-efficacy and job crafting. The study implies that improving emotional intelligence is important to change attitude/behavior of employees on job. The study also implies that corporations need to provide career growth opportunities, to develop various programs, and to create friendly working environment.
