A Handheld 3-Dimensional Motion Tracking Device for Ubiquitous Computing Environment (유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용 가능한 핸드 헬드형 3차원 움직임 추적장치)

  • This paper describes a design experience of a low-cost 6 DOF spatial tracker system where relative low accuracy and relatively long ranges, wireless communication will be achieved by means of low cost accelerometers and gyros with contemporary microprocessor. However, there are two key problems; one is the bias drift problem and the other is that single or double integration of acceleration signal suffers not only from noise but also from nonlinear effects caused by gravity. To be specific, beginning and stopping of hand motions needs to be accurately detected to initiate and terminate integration process to get position and pose of the hand from accelerometer and gyro signals, since errors due to noise and/or hand-shaking motions accumulated by integration processes. Several experimental results are shown to validate our proposed algorithms.

  • The output of solar array is changed non-linearly by variation of insolation and temperature. Hence, as varying insolation and temperature, Maximum Power Point Tracking(WPPT) is necessary to increase generation efficiency of solar array. This paper presented WPPT algorithm using position control of output voltage and current of solar array and implemented hardware MPP tracker which is appropriate and inexpensive for low power system$(tens\~hundreds\;watt)$. Finally, those were verified through simulation.

  • In this paper, sun tracking system using Sun position sensor is proposed, the sun tracking system designed as which raises the efficiency of solar power generation. It design the structure being simple and it develops the system which is economical efficiency. It develops the hazard technique such as location tracking method of the sun which uses the sensor and to use the motor solar cell module movement. The Sun tracking system makes the drive in order to do with one axis and to use the sensor and to know in order to put out, the location of the sun and it makes. To make the solar location tracking sensor where the structure is simple it used two solar cells.

  • In this thesis, a video tracker with a TMS320C31 DSP is designed and implemented. It is intended to work with PC through PCI Bus and can be used in real-time applications. The DSP board is capable of grabbing image data from camera, and calculating the position of a target, and tracking its movement. The tracking situation can be displayed in a PC monitor and displacement of the movement is fed back to pan and tilt the camera. Experimental results show that the tracker implemented here works well in real applications.

View Point Tracking for Parallax Barrier Display Using a Low Cost 3D Imager

  • We present an eye tracking system using a low cost 3D CMOS imager for 3D displays that ensures a correct auto stereoscopic view of position- dependent stereoscopic 3D images. The tracker is capable of segmenting the foreground objects (viewer) from background objects using their relative distance from the camera. The tracker is a novel 3D CMOS Image Sensor based on Time of Flight (TOF) principle using innovating photon gating techniques. The basic feature incorporates real time depth imaging by capturing the shape of a light-pulse front as it is reflected from a three dimensional object. The basic architecture and main building blocks of a real time depth CMOS pixel are described. For this application, we use a stereoscopic type of display using parallax barrier elements that is described as well.

  • In this paper, an experimental optical head tracker system is designed and constructed. The system is composed of the infrared LEDs and two infrared CCD cameras to filter out the interference of another light in the limited environment like the cockpit. Then the optical head tracker algorithm is designed by using the feature detection algorithm and the 3D motion estimation algorithm. The feature detection algorithm, used to obtain the 2D position coordinates of the features on the image plane, is implemented by using the thresholding and the masking techniques. The 3D motion estimation algorithm which estimates the motion of a pilot's head is implemented by using the extended Kalman filter (EKF). Also, we used the precise rate table to verify the performance of the experimental optical head tracker system and compared the rotational performance of this system with the inertial sensor.

  • Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries declared action plan for the electric fishing gear using real name in order to prevent overusing the fishing gear and to reduce discarded fishing gear. It is needed for a technique that can efficiently transmit the information including the type and location of the fishing gear and the user's real name to the fishing boat and the control center using IoT-based communication. The marine tracker buoy system, which is placed on the water for a long time, transmit the position data and the state data of the buoys to the control center in the ground by using NB-IoT channels. In this paper, we propose the algorithm for the low-power operation of the marine tracker buoy system is proposed and test results of current consumption in the marine tracker buoy system with the proposed algorithm is investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 트래커(tracker)라고 불리는 자기센서 내장 모션캡쳐 장치(장치명 INSIDETRAK)로 취득한 모션 데이터를 이용하여 캐릭터를 애니메이션하는 방법에 대해 기술한다. 이 방법은 PC를 이용하여 간단히 취득되는 저해상도의 위치 데이터를 스플라인 보간법에 의해 보간하고, 추정된 위치를 제약으로 inverse kinematics 방정식을 풀어 연속적인 동작을 재현한다. 이 기술은 최소의 모션 데이터로 리얼리스틱한 움직임을 재생하는 것이 가능하며 그 결과를 상호작용이 가능한 인터페이스에 적용시키거나 실시간 애니메이션에 활용하는 것이 가능하다.

  • $\textbullet$ A noval haptic mouse system is developed for human computer interface. $\textbullet$ Five bar mechanism is adapted for 2 dof force feedback with virtual environment. $\textbullet$ Double prismatic joint type mechanism is adapted to reflect 1 dof grabbing force feedback. $\textbullet$ Cable driven mechansim is used for actuation to reduce backlash and endow backdrivability. $\textbullet$ Virtual wall perception experiment is conducted to obtain force specification for haptic mouse. $\textbullet$ Average mouse workspace is measured using magnetic position tracker.
