The Effect of Online Community's Interactivity, Reward, Commitment and Loyalty on Purchase Intention in Portal Sites (포털사이트에서 온라인 커뮤니티의 상호작용성, 보상, 몰입과 충성도가 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This research studied the interactions of online communities, reward, commitment and loyalty to purchase intention in portal sites based on relevant theories. Data were collected from the users who had purchase experiences in potal sites to analyze the effects of interactions and loyalty. An empirical analysis regarding the hypothesized structural equation model was performed using SPSS 10.0 and PLS Graph 3.0. As the result, the interactivity of communities was found significant to commitment and loyalty, the reward of community was shown to significantly influence commitment, but not loyalty. And the commitment and loyalty of community were shown to have much effects on purchase intention. Finally, trust on portal sites were found to have an interaction effect on purchase intention.

A Study on Types of Portal Sites Preferences among the Korea Elderly (노인의 포털사이트 선호 유형에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore and classify the types of portal sites' preferences among korean elderly in Korea by using the Q-methodology. 35 q-samples were adopted based on literature reviews and interviews with elderly and staff in charge of information education for the elderly. As results, types of portal sites' preferences among Korean elderly were categorized into four: 1) universality and popularity, 2) personal interests, 3) social relationship, and 4) convenience. This study also explored attributes of each type of perception and delivered implication to prepare and improve better portal sites for the elderly and finally help them use portal site more effectively and enhance their quality of life.

A Study on the Determinants of User's Satisfaction at e-Trade Portal Sites in Korean Small and Medium Enterprises (중소기업의 무역포탈사이트 이용만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Trade portal site is one of the tools which make it possible for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information and telecommunication technology. So Korean SMEs should utilize trade portal sites more actively to promote global competitive power. Based on the theory of service quality and existing researches related to using information technology, this paper analyzed the primary factors which affect user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. According to the results of the empirical study on actual users of the representative trade portal sites by multiple regression analysis, the primary factors, such as service quality, government policy and cost factor have affected user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. And user's utilization satisfaction have positive effect on continuous using intention. These research results will provide many useful insights to trade portal site managers, e-trade system developers and government policy makers.

  • Portal site is not only providing search engine and e-mail service but also various services including blog, news, shopping, and others. The fact that average number of daily login for Korean portal site Naver is reaching 300 million suggests that many people are using portal sites. With the increase in number of users followed by the diversity in types of services provided by portal sites, the attack is also increasing. Most of studies of password authentication is focused on threat and countermeasures, however, in this study, we analyse the security threats and security requirement of membership, login, password reset first phase, password reset second phase. Also, we measure security score with common criteria of attack potential. As a result, we compare password authentication system of domestic and abroad portal sites.

  • The number of phishing/pharming attacks occurring has increased and consequently, the number of studies on anti-phishing/pharming has also increased. The target sites of phishing/pharming are financial sites, and these have a low connection rate compared to those of portal sites. In this paper, we propose an anti-phishing/pharming method that uses a portal site as a stopover. The proposed method is based on the reliability of portal sites. This method is intended for general users rather than for professional users or developers. We also analyze the safety of the proposed method by separating the method into sub components of module safety assumption.

Improvement of Traffic Information Contents of Portal Site focused on User's Satisfaction (이용자 만족도 중심의 인터넷포탈 교통정보 콘텐츠 개선방안)

  • Recently, use frequency for traffic information which provides shortest paths and traffic condition is increasing. Specially, in the survey, it is shown that users prefer internet portal sites which can be used the most easily among traffic information media. But, there are not many verification systems for traffic information contents of internet portal sites which collect and provide information than traffic information contents which are provided by public service. The purpose of this study is to investigate real accuracy and accuracy felt by users about information provided by portal sites. Therefore, in this research we verified accuracy of information by portal site with real field data and investigate real usage about contents and experienced accuracy by users through survey. Also, users' expectation and satisfaction were surveyed and the contents to be improved were selected by using IPA technique. By the result of accuracy verification by field data using portable DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) devices, it is shown that average error was 14~32% and sometimes very high rate. Also, it is shown that 28.3 % of total respondents prefers the information by portal sites and 50 % of total respondents felt that contents of traffic information by portal sites are not accurate. Real-time traffic condition was selected as the most inaccurate one among all contents of traffic information and it was analyzed that intensive efforts for improving information about real-time traffic condition are needed.

Analysis of Served Information by the Categories of Internet Sites Related to Early Childhood Education (유아교육 관련 인터넷 사이트의 종류별 서비스 정보의 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to give early childhood educators information for differentiating internet information services related to early childhood education, and for making more positive educational effect with web information services. The main questions were there were and differences in the levels of information characteristics and the information contents according to the categories of those sites. The subjects were 47 internet sites frequently used by teachers and trained assistants rated them with rating scale. One way ANOVA and t-test were used for data analysis. The results showed that the levels of information characteristics dimensions had differences among the categories of sites. In addition to that the content quality of Portal sites were higher than those of other categories for children users, those of Portal sites and Daum Cafes were higher than corresponding quality of other sites for teachers.

  • In digital marketing, means of public relations and marketing of enterprises are changing into marketing techniques of predictive analytics. A significant study can be carried out by an analysis of 'the patterns of customers' uses' using big data on major portal sites and SNSs and their correlation with related keywords. This study analyzes the origins of mythological characters in major brands such as Nike, Hermes, Versace, Canon and Starbucks. Also, it extracts related keywords and relevance using big data on portal sites and SNS and their correlation. Nike marketing that reminds people of 'the goddess of victory, Nike' formed a good combination of the brand with relevance. Most of them are based on Greek mythology and have rich materials for storytelling and artistic values in common. Hopefully, this case analysis of foreign brands would become a starting point of discovering the materials of the domestic mythological characters.

The Influence of the Introduction of Smart Phone on Using Portal Sites: An Exploratory Study by the Analysis on Smart Phone Users' Web Traffic (스마트폰 도입이 포털사이트 이용에 미친 영향: 스마트폰 이용자의 웹 트래픽 분석을 통한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study is for empirical verification of the influence of the introduction of smart phone on using the portal sites that were affected the most in the previous media environment. To achieve this, Web traffic data that are the result of smart phone users' practical Web uses have collected longitudinally and analyzed. The research results are the following: First, the use hours of portal sites have decreased about 15% and the page views have did about 35%, since using smart phones was diffused and habituated in earnest during the past two years. Using the community, news media, video, mobile, and game section of portal site sections have reduced. Second, the portal site portion of using smart phone Web is much more than that portion of using PC Web. More than two thirds of smart phone Web use traffic occurs in using portal sites, while more than one third of PC Web use traffic does in using that. Using the news media section is the most of using portal site sections on a smart phone. Third, since the introduction of smart phone, using the news media, communication, and life section of portal site sections have greatly increased, while the community, mobile, and game section have greatly decreased in the aggregate.
