  • The purpose of this study was to explorei the nature of the relationship between several factors representing shipping service quality enumerated in the service marketing literature and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of container shipping firm. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of shipping service quality but also ists implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the deteminants of shipping service quality were collected from Korean Multimodal Company , Shipping Freight Forwarders. Exploratory Factor analysis was carried out to analyze the data.

광양항의 Global e-Port화 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Global e-Port's Strategy of Gwangyang Port)

  • The management strategies of each company has been changed fundamentally owing to the emergence of digital economics by using internet. Therefore the efficient management of global e-port causes the main issues not only effect the survival and growth of ports but also exert new opportunities and fatal threats on them. Under the circumstances of these change, the Kwangyang port have to introduce e-biz for the purpose of increasing the level of their competition. The focus of this article is to suggest some strategies on the implementation of Kwangyang Global e-port in Korea. To analyse the e-port realities, I first reviewed the trends of e-marketing and e-biz. I chose and analysed website of four ports like Hongkong, Singapore, Antwerp and Hamburg as successful global e-port models. This article is focused to suggest the theoretical background by analysing the strategic points of Kwangyang global e-port which are divided in 6C: Contents, Communities, Connection, Commerce, Communication and Customization. This paper analyses many problems of Gwangyang port and presents various develpment ways to activate Gwangyang port. In order to be a global e-port, first of all Gwangyang port must improve global web-site by 6C. And also Gwangyang port have to constitute logistics hub site, create infrastructure needed to run electronic business more easily over the internet, establish nationwide network of industries, build up marine and port logistics information system.

인천항 관세자유지역 지정시 당면과제 고찰 (Consideration of Urgent Facing Strategies for the Designation of Customs Free Zone of Incheon City)

  • This study is intended for the development of urgent facing strategies for the designation of a CFZ(Customs Free Zone) in Incheon city. First, it analyzes the current status of the Incheon CFZ. Next, it suggests several strategies for successfully growing the CFZ of Incheon City. Finally, it develops and proposes a method for establishing an integrated management system for the effective management of the CFZ. The key findings of this study are as follows: First, the CFZ should provide state-of-the-art movement of port logistics, create new added value caused by the movement of logistics, and provide other public support. The Incheon CFZ should be developed in three stages: an inducement stage in 2002-2005, a growth stage in 2005-2008, and an implementation stage in 2008-2011. Second, The parties responsible for the management of the CFZ would be as follows: for the port area, the Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries; for the back space of CFZ, Incheon City; and for port management, port management companies. However, a committee for CFZ management is strongly suggested for the improved efficiency and effectiveness of CFZ management. Furthermore, additional regulations ensuring the role of local government will likely be necessary for the sucessful designation and sustainable management of the CFZ. Third, For the creation of additional revenue, reformation of the current laws of the CFZ are recommended in the area of business administration. Fourth, A strategic marketing plan that supports the successful management of the companies of the CFZ will be a key component in the success of the CFZ. Thus, the new marketing plan should be developed in the near future based on case studies of other CFZs. Fifth A method for an integrated CFZ management system was developed and suggested for the comprehensive and transparent management of port logistics.

항만물품공급업의 서비스품질요인이 관계지향성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Service Quality Factors of Port Supply Industry on the Relationship Orientation)

  • This study shows how the service quality of port supply industry impacts with customer satisfaction and relationship orientation. Through previous research, service quality of port supply company is considered, at the same time, the key factor of service quality is divided into tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Sample design is based on shipping companies which are registered in Korea Ship owners' Association and Korea Ship managers' Association from Aug. 8 through 26 in 2011. And total of 275 questionnaires are collected from shipping companies in Busan and Kyong nam. Result of this study would be utilized in marketing strategy for port supply industry. In the future research, based on analysis of port supply company's characteristics, the study for port supply industry which are perceived by customers could be conducted.

한.일간 항만관리 형태의 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on Port Management Type between Korea and Japan)

  • 한국과 일본은 가장 가까운 이웃 나라이면서 한국은 일본의 식민지를 거친 경험을 갖고 있어 항만관리제도에 있어서도 일본의 영향을 가장 많이 받았다고 할 수 있다. 양국의 항만관리 형태를 비교해 보면 정부기관에 의한 항만관리형태와 기업성을 가미한 항만공사제를 채택하고 있는 점은 같으나 그 관리주체와 성격에 있어서는 다른 점을 알 수 있다. 또한 항만이 지향하는 목표와 기능면에서도 상이하다. 본 논문에서의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 부산항과 인천항에만 시행하고 있는 항만공사제도를 광양항과 평택당진항으로 확대시행 할 것과 둘째, 항만공사제도를 시행하고 있지 아니한 항만에도 지자체와의 협력체제를 강화할 것 셋째, 항만공사가 주체가 되어 국제허브항으로의 발전에 필요한 마켓팅전략을 수립 시행해야 한다는 것이다.

  • 2008년 금융위기 이후 국내 조선기자재 기업은 국내 조선3사의 수주량 급감에 따른 물량 확보가 어려워지면서 기업의 생존에 직면하게 되었고, 이에 기자재 기업에서는 제품 다각화와 해외 시장 진출이 중요한 목표가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전문가 델파이 조사 및 SWOT 분석을 바탕으로 기자재 기업의 성장 단계별 해외 진출 중요 요소를 분석하고 이를 이용하여 체계적이고 효율적인 온.오프 라인 해외 마케팅 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기자재 기업의 전통적인 오프라인 마테팅 전략인 수출상담회/전시회 활용과 온라인을 활용한 마케팅을 함께 제시함으로써 체계적이고 효율적인 해외 시장 진출이 가능하며, 아울러 온.오프 라인 통합 플랫폼 구축이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

An Empirical study on improvement of operation for feeder vessel route between Busan and west coast of Japan

  • In this paper, practical problems for current feeder service between Busan port and west coast of Japan were extracted through in depth interviews with Japanese feeder vessel companies, shippers, and port authority based upon which major criteria (elements) for improvement of the feeder network are structured in hierarchic order and weighed relative importance through AHP method. From the questionnaire answered by Korean and Japanese port users and experts the weights of criteria were calculated and the shipping service was ranked the first by both parties with 0.235 and 0.217, respectively. The port service and support system ranked the second and the third, whereas the port marketing was shown to be the lowest of all. Considering the overall weights, the increase in a port loading and unloading speed of port service was followed by provision of dedicated deck for feeder vessel of port facilities for Korean respondents. Therefore, speed up of the port operations and providing docks for feeder vessel are to be firstly provided for more efficient feeder operations, which would be the basis for the construction of optimal transportation network.

  • This Article analyses the present situation of Shanghai Harbour and the Harbour's important role in the development of chinese economy. The article forecasts that the yearly tonnage turnover of the port will reach about 200 million tons in the year of 2000, possibly reach to 270--300 million tons by the end of 2020. it also forecasts that the container handling capacity of the port will be 2 million TEUS in 2000 and 6 million TEUS in 2020 respectively. In order to keep pace with the present situation of opening up and developing Pudong new area, this article suggests that the strategic target of the management and development of Shanghai Harbour should be : grasp the opportunity of opening up and developing Pudong, take the building of the deep-waterway port as the main task, which can accept the third or fourth generation international container ships, bring into full play the traditional advantages the Harbour has, unfold the businesses in other fields, participate in the marketing competition, speed up the development of the Harbour itself, make efferts to build Shanghai Harbour into a port-industry-trade-transportation integral modernized international deep-water key port.

국제여객터미널의 컨테이너화물 기종점 분석 - 인천항을 중심으로 - (The Origin/Destination Analysis of Container Cargo in International Passenger Terminals - Focused on Incheon Port -)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인천항 국제여객터미널의 컨테이너화물 기종점 분석을 통해 향후 한중 카페리 컨테이너 화물유치를 위한 마케팅 자료와 인천 남항에 신축 예정인 국제여객터미널 개발에 필요한 정책적 제언을 하는데 있다. 인천항 국제여객터미널 화물 기종점 분석결과 컨테이너화물 처리량은 인천항 전체의 20%를 차지하고 있으며, 인천항 화물의 증가와 더불어 증가하고 있다. 화물의 국내이동 경로는 인천, 서울, 경기 등 수도권 지역에 집중화 되어 있다. 수출화물 물동량의 경우 전체화물의 71.4%가 수도권으로부터 유입되고 있으며, 수입화물은 전체화물의 87.7%가 수도권으로 이동하고 있다. 이에 수도권 화물의 편중현상이 강한 국제여객터미널 카페리 항로의 물동량을 늘리기 위해서 수도권 이외의 지역 물량을 유치하기 위한 마케팅 전략을 제시하였다. 또한 인천항은 남항에 신규 건설 예정인 국제여객터미널의 개발에 필요한 시사점과 세계적인 공항인 인천국제공항과 인접하여 있어 해륙간 육송(Sea & Air)화물의 신규창출을 위한 글로벌 마케팅전략을 제시하였다.

새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향 (The Logistics Infrastructure for the Exploitation of Saemangeum New Port)

  • 본 연구의 대상인 새만금 신항은 신설 예정항만으로서 항만현황 및 물동량 처리실적 등 통계적인 자료의 분석에 한계가 있으므로 본 연구에서는 항만물류환경의 거시적 변화와 정부의 새만금 신항만 건설계획 그리고 새만금 신항 개발에 관한 최근의 연구 등을 중심으로 분석함으로서 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 새만금 신항 개발을 위한 물류인프라 구축방향으로 첫째, 항만관련 SOC의 구축 등을 통한 유리한 물류환경의 조성, 둘째, 새만금 신항의 국제적인 홍보활동과 물류시장 확보를 위한 항만마케팅 전략 수립, 셋째, 물동량의 수요와 공급을 예측하고 화물의 적기인도 및 처리를 위한 정보망의 구축 등 로지스틱스 사슬의 구축, 그리고 산 학 관의 적극적인 참여와 협력을 통한 로지스틱스 커뮤니티조성 등을 제안하였다.
