  • 2006년 1월 부산신항 3선석을 시작으로 부산신항의 운영이 시작되고, 해외경쟁항만의 지속적인 시설확충은 기존 우리나라의 대표항만으로 자리매김해온 부산북항이 직면한 도전이다. 이러한 도전을 슬기롭게 극복하기 위해서는 가장 먼저. 지금의 상황을 냉정하게 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 부산북항의 현 상황을 파악하기 위해서 해외경쟁항만과 부산북항의 운영시설 및 운영현황을 비교분석하고, 신규개장하는 부산신항과 부산북항의 시설현황을 비교하며. 마지막으로 부산북항 개별터미널의 시설 및 장비, 운영현황을 상대비교한다.

  • Busan is Korea's No. 1 trading port, and the logistics industry plays an important role in the regional industry as a whole. In Busan, various efforts are being made to revitalize the port logistics industry, but it is necessary to develop various policies and related technologies linked with the 4th industry. In this study, we propose a smart refrigeration logistics center, which is required for the activation of Busan New Port and the new port of Pusan New Port, which is connected with the 4th industry. I would like to present the operation direction of the center.

컨테이너 터미널 경쟁력향상을 위한 항만마케팅 전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Port Marketing Strategy for Strengthening the Competitive Power of the Container Terminal)

  • The intensification of the competition among container terminals has led to important affect such as, decision making or aggressive intervention of customers for terminal operation. Therefore, in case of developed ports, the large transition of port operation is composed of the press of terminal customer than decision making of terminal manager. Overall port tariffs for using terminal is made out by the conference of terminal customers than the supreme headquarters of terminal operation, and the related investment of terminal has been made according to requisition or proposal of customers. Therefore, among decision making problems that shippers, shipping companies, and freight forwarder among decision making problems that shippers, shipping companies, and freight forwarder face, the choice of the container terminal is one of the most important problems. So, the decision making of the users seems to have a significant impact on the competitive power of container terminals. The main objective of this study is to design port marketing strategy for strengthening the competitive power of container terminals. The results of this study were found as follows: Firstly, port authority should establish user-oriented operation policy of terminal as the means of activating the opinion window, using terminal monitoring system(TMS). Secondly, terminal planning and development of government should be made to minimize the lead time, to induce the civil capital and to utilize the economies of scale. Thirdly, port authority needs to endeavor to analyze the information of competing foreign terminals as well to promote the concentrated marketing for the terminal on the users, to train the expert and to develop the new port charge system. Fourthly, to improve the competitive power of the container terminal, Port Authority should optimize the subsystems related to port marketing, far more these systems should be joined organically to work effectively. Finally, port authority system should be introduced, Namely, port should have the enterprise inclination as well s the public inclination.

  • 항만을 둘러싼 외부환경변화에 따라 항만의 지속가능한 운영에 대한 관심이 증가하는 추세이다. 다양한 분야에서 TBL을 활용한 지속가능성 평가가 진행되고 있으며, 항만도 지속가능성 평가를 위해 경제적 측면뿐만 아니라 사회적, 환경적 측면을 고려한 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 TBL을 접목하여 항만의 지속가능성 평가지표를 선정하고 중요도를 분석하여, 국내 주요 4대 항만에 대해 지속가능성을 평가하였다. 항만의 지속가능성을 위해서는 가치가 높은 물동량 확보와 함께 항만 운영과 인프라 및 자본 투자의 효율성 제고가 필요하며, 주변 지역의 연계성장과 함께 친환경적인 항만의 운영이 필요할 것이다.

인천항 VTS의 효율적인 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Operation of VTS in Inchon)

  • Many Countries have made efforts to assist ships navigate accurately , safely and expeditiously for the safety control against increasing marine traffic , in their coastal waters. However, they are exposed in spite of these efforts,to risks of casulaties and marine polluation caused by traffic congestion when ships are navigating through waterways approaches to ports or harbors and in narrow fairways. Therefore, efficient control of VTS in Port is necessary nowadays to provide ships with necessary service , which interacts with shipping and organize the flow of traffic so as to maximize the efficiency of the port or harbor while minimizing the risk of accident and environmental pollution. Even though the navigation condition of ships is very inferior compared to other ports in Korea, such as the big difference between the ebb and flood tide, the frequent fog, the narrow fairway , the density of navigation traffic in Inchon Port is high and transportation quantity of dangerous cargoe increases gradually. In cosideration of the characteristics of natural circumstance and traffic circumstance the VTS established newly in Inchon port have to operate efficiently. The purpose of this study is to help efficient operation of VTS in Inchon port by accomplishing both the literature research and questionnaire survey. Questionnaire survey was read to the VTS personnel in Inchon Port and customer familiar to Inchon Port such as ship navigators, pilots, shipping companies and so on. Most of ship navigators who occupy half of the respondents are Korean Officer who had responded while they were calling at Inchon port. The conclusions and recommendations includes ; First, the service area should be extended over Designated area to provide the vessel with navigational assistance service regarding the information of traffic congestion area, fishing boat and small ship's activities. Second, the types of information service to be offered are ship's movement and weather condition inthe vicinity of the port and state of fairway in the approaching channel to thte fairway. Third, VTS personnel should be upgraded by the on-the-job training and continuous simulation training as well as supplement of the qualified personnel for VTS operation. Fourth , the Harbor Master System to be introduced for safe navigation and efficient port operation.

An Analysis of Container Port Efficiency in ASEAN

  • In order to improve the overall ASEAN maritime transport network, each port's efficiency is regarded as a crucial factor that should be calculated periodically. This study evaluated the relative efficiency of container port operations of 32 ports belonging to 9 ASEAN nations using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). It found that 2 out of 32 ports in 2010 were measured as efficient ports. This study yielded two major findings. Firstly, the ports assessed as inefficient need to benchmark similar ports in size and structure from the ports that are assessed as efficient to improve their efficiency. Secondly, these results could be used to determine potential candidates and country for an international port development co-operation programme with Korea to improve the performance of the entire ASEAN port network by developing the infrastructures of ill-equipped ports.

Integrated Bidirectional Three-Port DC-DC Converter with Ripple-Free Input Current and Soft Switching

  • Multiport power converters have recently become popular to researchers and engineers. However, more improvements are required in terms of their soft-switching operation, bidirectional operation, and integration. In this study, a bidirectional three-port three-switch DC-DC converter is proposed. The converter contains a low-current ripple port and ripple-free current port. Through the integrated structure, utilization of a coupled inductor, and a new switching strategy, the aforementioned specifications are achieved. A modified switching strategy is also utilized in the converter, which has resulted in the bidirectional operation of the converter between ports. Finally, a comprehensive analysis is presented, and the converter characteristics are validated by experimental results.

컨조인트분석을 활용한 신국제여객터미널 최적 항만운영 방안에 관한 연구-인천항을 중심으로 (An Analysis on Optimal Port Operation for New International Passenger Terminal Using Conjoint Analysis: Focusing on Incheon Port)

  • 본 연구는 신규로 건설되는 국제여객터미널의 최적 항만운영안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 컨조인트 분석을 활용하여 최적 항만운영이 될 수 있는 대안을 분석하였다. 또한 사용자 관점과 실사업 주관입장인 인천항만공사와 인식차이 비교분석을 실시한다. 사용자 컨조인트 분석결과 '임대료 산정방식'이 신국제여객터미널 항만운영 방안에서는 가장 중요한 요인으로 도출되었다. 다음으로 자동화구축, 부지면적 순으로 분석되었다. 수준별 효용결과를 살펴보면 임대료 산정방식에서는 '국유재산법 적용방식', 자동화구축에서는 '야드장비의 자동화', 부지면적에서는 '61,000평~66,000평'순으로 효용성을 보였다. 신국제여객터미널 실사업 주관자인 인천항만공사의 경우, 사용자 결과와 마찬가지로 중요도에서 '임대료 산정방식'이 신국제여객터미널 항만운영방안에서 가장 중요한 요인으로 나타났으며, 자동화구축, 부지면적 순으로 도출되었다. 각 요인의 수준별 효용결과로는 임대료산정방식에서는 '투자비 보전방식', 자동화구축에서는 '야드장치장의 자동화', 부지면적에서는 '43000평~48000평' 순으로 효용치를 보였다.

A Development of Integrated Operation System of Container Terminals in Ubiquitous Environment using RFID

  • Number of researches on efficient terminal operation system applying RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) are in progress. However, RFID has limitations on tracking and providing accurate positions of containers. In this paper, to enhance the performance of the integrated terminal operation system, an efficient loading management of yard is proposed by applying RFID based RTLS(Real Time Locating System) that provides real time accurate positions of containers. It was found that a group based sequence system is more efficient than the existing individual sequence number system in the container yard In the group based sequence system, the containers in the same group should have similar characteristics such as port of destination(POD), size, weight, etc. In order to run this system, we proposed the parameters to the unspecified N bytes of RFID tag which are specified in ISO 18000 7. And then, we developed an integrated operation system of container terminal using RFID. The proposed system reduces the ship turnaround time in ubiquitous port environments.
