The Influence Factors on the Performance of Regional Public Hospitals (지방의료원의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Background: This study is designed to estimate the factors that affect the level of three different performance (publicity, efficiency, profitability) among regional public hospitals. Methods: The units of analysis are the regional 30 hospitals, which have the operating data during 22 years (from 1933 to 2014). The research method is used by fixed panel analysis. The publicity is measured by medicaid outpatient proportion and medicaid inpatient proportion. The efficiency is measured by two types of efficient score by DEA (data envelopment analysis). The profitability is measured by medical income to medical revenue and ROA (return on total asset). Results: At first, the increase of bed gives negative affect to the publicity but give positive effect to the efficiency and profitability. Because it means the increase of the region population, it gives more profitability compare to hospital with small number of beds. The more the operating period is the higher effect to the publicity and efficiency because of it's refutation. The debt ratio gives negative effect to publicity, but positive effect to profitability. It is the normal belief that there is inverse relationship between publicity and profitability. The turnover rate of bed gives the negative affect to the publicity, but positive affect to the efficiency and profitability. That give us the implication that type of the inpatient make different effect the hospital performance. The ratio of labor cost give negative effect to all kind of performance. That means that the higher labor cost don't mean the higher publicity and labor cost control is very important factors to hospital performance. So the region hospital have to focus the labor factors more to make higher performance. Conclusion: As the conclusion, the independent variables give similar effect to the efficiency and the profitability, but give inverse effect to the publicity. That means that if an region hospital want to make the more publicity, it loss the higher efficiency and profitability. Specially publicity is higher negative relation with the profitability.

  • The objective of this study is to generally check the present situation of private security industry by analyzing the current situation of private security industry in Korea so as to find which policy base is reflected to amend law by analyzing the amendment process of private security law in order to suggest policy direction of private security industry in Korea. Viewing through amendment process of private security law, enhancing publicity and enterprise are not judged to form any definite policy base. They are merely interpreted to partially reflect enterprise under the strong base of publicity. Such policy base may cause overall stagnation of private security industry. For sound development of private security industry, it is required to get out of the existing policy direction so as to change policy base to the direction of enhancing enterprise of private security industry. The power of police for instruction and supervision should be largely transferred to Korea Security Association so as to cultivate autonomous purifying function of private security industry. Police should strive to develop policy in the level of joint production of security service.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the framework for innovation policy that the approach to popularization, diffusion, and S&T culture through the science and technology(S&T) fair. The innovation policy has a role which suggests direction to do behavior and concerns to social members. According to, this point of the diffusion of the S&T culture emerges the reasonable and adoptable innovation policy. Korean S&T fair have many problems, for example, a short historical background, lack of the fund and special human resource, so on. In this aspect, this study provides theoretical reviews and several issues for publicity of the innovation policy and S&T popularization and culture through the representative case-Future Tech Korea2006. Also, this study argues that "How to build and improve S&T fair", and "What the figure of S&T is that communicate and approach to people". Finally, the research for the S&T fair gives detailed and realized strategies for improving them.

CSR publicity and Moderating Effect of Media Credibility (CSR퍼블리시티와 매체신뢰도의 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to test the influence of CSR publicity(positive vs. negative) on the corporate image and customer loyalty. Especially this study is focused on the moderating effect of media credibility and the mediating effect of corporate image between CSR publicity and customer loyalty. The results of this study are as follows. 1) The influence of CSR publicity on the corporate image appears more in the negative information than the positive one. 2) The moderating effect appears in media credibility. Namely, in the case of positive CSR information, the influence of CSR publicity on the corporate image appears high only in high credibility of media, but it does not in low media credibility. Whereas, in the negative information, there is no differences of negative influence on the corporate image nevertheless of media credibility. 3) The higher the corporate image is, the higher the customer loyalty is. The results of this study implicate that credibility of CSR publicity is very important factor on the corporate image and customer loyalty and media credibility is another one in credibility of CSR publicity.

  • This paper presents the real condition and problems of rural communities, shift of social paradigm, and also discussed the results and efforts of existing energy supporting policy by literature review. The aim of this study is to suggest the new supporting policy of energy saving facilities for rural communities, and to show its necessity, framework, promotion method, and connection plan with existing policy. Based on this study, mainly three results can be drawn as follows; first, this new policy is required that not only suggestive reason such as energy crisis and social atmosphere, but also, financial support and welfare service for resident of rural area. Second, the various rural facilities including residence must be planed sustainable energy saving system by this new policy. And the third, this policy should be simultaneously adopted with rural development policy, and must drive forward that is closely connected with a related policy.

  • This paper quantitatively analyzes the investment performance of the environmental improvement fund focusing on the sales effect and the housing benefit effect. The analysis of this study focused on the effects of sales and housing benefits for completed business sites among the business sites supported by the Environmental Improvement Fund. The analysis results are as follows. First, it appears that the sales effect of the completed workplace is effective compared to the amount of investment, so it seems that the purpose of industrial integration of the environment improvement fund is being achieved. Second, it was found that there are variations by workplace and region in housing benefits. This seems to be due to the fact that profitability can be neglected by reflecting the characteristics of residential facilities built by private businesses. The Environmental Improvement Fund is a policy fund that pursues both profitability and publicity. Therefore, it is necessary to transform the structure of the fund to expand support for industrial infrastructure with high publicity. To this end, it is necessary to establish a long-term management plan that equitably considers the profitability and publicity of the environmental improvement fund.

  • This study was studied to analyze the current early childhood education system based on elements of education publicness and to explore policy tasks for developing early childhood education policies. Qualitative literature analysis was conducted by collecting official government documents and reports from national research institutes, and the publicity level of early childhood education was evaluated based on the elements of publicity. As a result of the study, Korea's early childhood education policy has been promoted in the direction of strengthening the public nature of early childhood education, such as the introduction of the Nuri course. Quantitative expansion of public nature has been achieved, but now it is necessary to re-establish the policy direction focusing on the qualitative reinforcement of public nature and to supplement the system. This study suggests a direction for a review of early childhood education in general.

The Publicity of the Museum under the Untact Situation (비대면 상황에서 미술관의 공공성에 대한 논의)

  • Under quarantine policies related to the Coronavirus, museums have closed or started limited operations. Currently, museums are trying to adapt to the untact situation, while maintaining the museum's original function and communicating with visitors through online platforms. This paper first analyzes the operation status of domestic and foreign museums under untact situations and the operation status of online platforms. In order to reconsider the publicity of the museum, the definition of the museum by ICOM and Hannah Arendt's concept of publicity should be examined. Through this, the importance of the function of public art museums in forming democratic discourse and awakening community could be developed. To this end, first, public forum to discuss the quarantine policy of museums should be developed. Second, local and central governments should support museums financially. Finally, the online platforms of the museum should be more activated. Despite the untact situation of the museum, the publicity of art museums must be addressed in order to discuss the community's difficulties democratically.

  • The business in the Ubiquitous era has to be developed by combing a traditional marketing concept with a new concept system on Chip. The objective of this paper is researching on the attention or interest, understanding, positive effects, etc., for Ubiquitous Computing to realize u-Korea and u-Business. The paper result which is the stepwise developing scheme of u-Business could be useful in the policy, publicity and education, strategic implementation of the Ubiquitous Computing. And the proposed new services for u-Commerce can be applied to new business model of future IT industry. Actually, the awareness and understanding about Ubiquitous are low, But, We can't overemphasize the value of Ubiquitous. First of all, The publicity and education about It's may have to be emphasized.

A Study on Goods Purchase and Facility Use in Badminton Club Members Using the IPA Matrix Analysis (IPA Matrix 분석을 이용한 배드민턴 생활체육 동호인의 용품구매 및 시설 이용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the importance and satisfaction perceived in the purchase of goods and the use of a court in badminton club members. The results will be used for basic data to increase club members and present the methods to activate badminton. The survey on goods, price, programs, facilities, staff, and publicity was conducted. The IPA matrix was applied for data processing. The following conclusions were drawn. First, as a result of analyzing the ranking of importance and satisfaction, the first place of importance was coach's professionalism of staff factors, followed by safety of facility factors and program contents and effects of program factors. The first place of satisfaction was cleanliness and management of facility factors, followed by coach's professionalism of staff factors and staff's kindness of staff factors. Second, as a result of the IPA matrix of importance and satisfaction, Quadrant I included appropriateness of training time and program contents and effect of program factors, parking size and cleanliness and management of facility factors, coach's professionalism and staff's service attitude of staff factors, and customer service and complaint resolution of publicity factors. Quadrant II showed appropriateness of price, value for money, and discount policy of price factors and materials and design of goods factors. Quadrant III included excellent customer service of goods of goods factors, various program construction of program factors, court location and accessibility, and various convenient facilities of facility factors, and various publicity and event programs, website construction, and various publicity strategies of publicity factors. Quadrant IV showed brand value of goods, awareness, and brand specialty of goods of goods factors.
