  • CCSDS Standard is widely used in the international space telecommunication area. But standard recommendation of CCSDS is not restrictive, so, we can select an appropriate encryption protocol among the layer. For synchronization, encryption sync is attached in the beginning of the encrypted data. In the exceptional environmental condition, although the receiver can not decrypt the normal data, the sender have no conception of that situation. In this paper, we propose a two-stage SES alarmed link encryption synchronization method having optimized threshold value necessary to decide whether the receiver has a correct decryption or not. first, through the experiment of mutual relations between error rate and encryption synchronization detection error, we can predict worst communication environment for the selected encryption synchronization pattern. second, through the experiment for finding what number of consecutive frame synchronization error is an appropriate reference value and analysis of that experiment, we suggest an optimized threshold value for resynchronization request. lastly, through the output images we can predict the probability error that should be guaranteed by channel coder.

  • Water electrolysis is known as the most sustainable and clean technology to produce hydrogen gas, however, a serious drawback to commercialize this technology is due to the slow kinetics in oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Thus, we report on the nanoporous IrNi thin film that reveals a markedly enhanced OER activity, which is attained through a selective etching of Os from the IrNiOs alloy thin film. Interestingly, electrochemical selective etching of Os leads to the formation of 3-dimensionally interconnected nanoporous structure providing a high electrochemical surface area (ECSA, 80.8 ㎠), which is 90 fold higher than a bulk Ir surface (0.9 ㎠). The overpotential at the nanoporous IrNi electrode is markedly lowered to be 289 mV at 10 mA cm-2, compared with bulk Ir (375 mV at 10 mA cm-2). The nanoporous IrNi prepared through the selective de-alloying of Os is promising as the anode material for a water electrolyzer.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the NutriPlus+ Program and to observe how the improved statuses were maintained after the program's termination. The subjects were infants and their parents, who have participated in the NutriPlus+ Program conducted by South Healthcare Center in Po-hang for longer than six months, during the period 2007 - 2010. The survey was conducted with questionnaires, and scores were tabulated from each question. After the intervention of the program, scores representing degrees of nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude increased. The rate of nutritional risk by anthropometric measurement decreased, and the prevalence rate of anemia was significantly decreased as well. The number of subjects lacking any nutrients, except for iron and vitamin C, decreased, which indicates that the NutriPlus+ Program was effective. After enough time had passed after the intervention's completion; however, the scores of nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude decreased. The number of subjects with low height and weight (proportional to their age) relatively decreased, and the prevalence rate of anemia increased slightly. The number of subjects lacking in energy and calcium consumption increased as well, which indicates that the effect of the NutriPlus+ Program was not maintained after the program's termination.

  • The objective of this study is to develop the sorbent of oyster shell, which can remove gaseous acid pollutants emitted from the incinerator and power plants. The physicochemical properties of prepared absorbents have been measured using ICP and BET Also, this study is to investigate the Hydration/calcination reaction in the fixed bed reactor. Thus, the results could be summarized as follows. Oyster shell can be used in powder type without former processing. It should be also noted that sulfation reactivity of oyster sample increases to about 5 times by calcination/hydration reaction due to the increase of specific surface area and pore volume. From these experiments, we have found that both $SO_2$ and $NO_x$ in simulated flue gas can be effectively removed by use of oyster absorbent.

  • This paper deals with the experimental results that apply to a new wire by an artificial flame-maker because it's difficult to directly analyze the characteristic of deterioration by a forest fire. Those results include tension load, extension rate and torsion number for a conductor. In addition, there's been an experiment and analysis about the mechanical characteristics of the wire of ACSR 480$\textrm{mm}^2$ which was removed from Pohang area by a forest fire. Then, the database will be made to predict the state of deteriorated wires by a forest fire using those two data, and data necessary to diagnose the life state of an ACSR wire affected by a forest fire will be given.

  • This experiment was carried out to study the cause of degeneration and rot of cultivated mushroom. Among 597 bacterial isolates derived from the rots of Button mushroom (Agaricus bisporus), Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and Oak mushroom (Lentinus edodes) collected from markets of 5 cities (Seoul, Suwon, Taegu, Pohang and Pusan) in Korea (1991~1993), 111 bacterial isolates (18.5%) were proved as pathogenic bacteria. These pathogenic bacteria causing bacterial rots of cultivated mushrooms were identified as Pseudomonas tolasii, P. agarici, and Eriwinia sp., and the main causal bacteria were P. tolaasii. P. fluorescens and Klebsiella plenticola were confirmed as saprophytic non-pathogenic bacteria. One hundred fifty nine isolates (Group No. 39) of the 486 saprophytic bacterial isolates were classified as P. fluorescens, and this species was most often found rot area of cultivated mushrooms. P. tolaasii, the causal organism of bacterial blotch, was classified into two groups; One group can be differentiated from the other by the formation of white precipitation band by white line reacting organisms of Pseudomonas Agar F media. P. tolaasii attacked the cultivated mushrooms relatively well at lower incubation temperature such as 5$^{\circ}C$, but P. agarici rarely attack at below 1$0^{\circ}C$. The temperature for the infection commercial cultivated mushrooms by P. agarici was higher than that of P. tolaasii. Optimum temperature for the infection of mushrooms by P. tolaasii and P. agarici were 2$0^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • We report a focal-length tunable liquid lens based on thermopneumatically driven fluidic pressure. The fluidic pressure is generated by deformation of an elastomeric diaphragm induced by thermopneumaticity from a laterally integrated microheater sealed within an air chamber. The pressure is transmitted by a confined liquid to a lens diaphragm through an internal fluid channel. The liquid filling under the lens diaphragm functions as a liquid lens for dynamic focusing with properties depending on the curvature of the deformed diaphragm. The diaphragm area of the air chamber is designed five times larger than that of the lens cavity to yield high focal-length tunability by amplified deflection of the lens diaphragm. With our method, we achieved excellent focal-length tunability from infinity (without an input current) to 4 mm (with an input current of 12 mA) with a lens aperture diameter of 2 mm.

  • We studied the charge redistribution in the Pt-M (M=Cu, Co) alloys by X-ray Absorption Near Edge Spectroscopy(XANES) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS). These analysis tools provide us information about the charge transfer in the valence band of intermetallic bonding. The samples were prepared by arc-melting method. After annealing this samples in vacuum for several hours, we cold get the ordered samples, which were confirmed with XRD analysis. the core and valence level energy shift in these system were investigated by Mg $K\alpha$(1253.6eV) x-ray source for Pt-Co alloys and monochromatized Al $K\alpha$ (1486.6eV) for Pt-Cu alloys. Pt L2, L3-edge, and Cu, Co K-edge XANES spectra were measured with the total electron-yield mode detector at the 3Cl beam line of the PLS (Pohang light source0. from the changes of White line (WL) area and the core level shifts of the each metal sites, we can obtain the information about the electrons participating in the intermetallic bonding of the Pt-Cu and Pt-Co alloys.
