This paper presents the interesting properties of a certain patterned matrix that plays an significant role in the statistical analysis. The necessary and sufficient condition on the existence of the inverse of the patterned matrix and its determinant are derived. In special cases of the patterned matrix, explicit formulas for its inverse, determinant and the characteristic equation are obtained.

Since algebra before the 19th century was the study of equations and equations are not differentiated from polynomials because of lack of the equality sign, the algebraic symbolism of polynomials plays very important role for tile history of algebra. The Reidemeister orbit set plays a crucial role in the Nielsen type theory of periodic orbits, much as the Reidemeister set does in Nielsen fixed point theory. Extending our work on Reidemeister orbit sets, we improve our theorem for formulae for Nielsen type essential orbit numbers.

Allylthio group of the sulfur compounds of garlic oil plays an important role for prevention and treatment of hepatic diseases induced by toxic substances or carbon tetrachloride. Thus allylthio group as pharmacologically active group was introduced into pyridazine heterocycle ring. Aryloxyallylthiopyridazine derivatives were synthesized and their hepatoprotective activities were screened in rat. The activities of these compounds were weaker than alkoxyallylthiopyridazine derivatives, which exhibit a superior hepatoprotective effect.

Let C^(q) be the q-commuting arithmetic table of (x + y)ⁿ with noncommuting variables. We study sequential properties of diagonal sums of C^(q) with various q > 0. One of our results shows that each diagonal sum plays like Fibonacci number with some minor conditions.

Genotoxicity plays an important role for the safety evaluation of chemicals. When the carcinogenicity is evident on a chemical, the threshold can be estimated only when genotoxic mechanism does not operate for carcinogenesis otherwise threshold cannot be set. Without genotoxic mechanism- non-genotoxic carcinogen-threshold can be estimated but with genotoxic mechanism-genotoxic- carcinogen-it cannot be estimated.(omitted)
