Pb계 Ceramics 기지상의 무전해 Ni 도금 (Electroless Ni Plating on Pb-base Ceramics)

  • In order to form metallic electrodes on PZT (Pb (Zr, Ti)O$_3$) ceramics, plating conditions for optimal electroless Ni deposition were investigated. Pb in PZT is the major component to inhibit the electroless deposition, because it plays a active role of catalytic poison in plating solution. Adhesion of the electroless Ni deposits is measured by push-pull scale test and peel test. Results such as deposition ability, deposition rate, and thickness of deposits showed in terms of concentration of etchant, composition of catalyzing solution, and composition and pH of electroless bath solution.

  • In this study, we found that it is important to have a specific management of standards which are the $12{\pm}3{\mu}m$ of plating thickness and $2{\pm}1%$ of tuning. To verify these standards, we checked the plating thickness and density of tuning through marginal valuation of each and checked size of a plating particle, adhesion of solder and condition of reflow after a section chief.

무전해 니켈도금에 의한 도전성 실리콘고무 시트의 제조 (Preparation of Conductive Silicone Rubber Sheets by Electroless Nickel Plating)

  • Electroless plating process as a solution deposition method is a viable means of preparing conductive metal films on non-conducting substrates through chemical reactions. In the present study, the preparation and properties of electroless Ni-plating on flexible silicone rubber are described. The process has been performed using a conventional Ni(P) chemical bath. Additives and complexing agents such as ammonium chloride and glycine were added and the reaction pH was controlled by NaOH aqueous solution. Ni deposition rate and crystallinity have been found to vary with pH and temperature of the plating bath. It was shown that Ni-films having the high crystallinity, enhanced adhesion and optimum electric conductivity were formed uniformly on silicone rubber substrates under pH 7 at $70^{\circ}C$. The conductive Ni-plated silicone rubber showed a high electromagnetic interference shielding effect in the 400 MHz-1 GHz range.

  • Electric plating is used in various industry field. Specially, pulse plating is able to deposit material at high current density compared to conventional DC plating. For example, pulse plating can get more fine grain, can improve adhesion and metal distribution and current efficiency, can reduce internal stress and crack. Therefore, we developed bidirection pulse power supply(BPPS) which has high speed pulse current and high current density and improve deposition quality and increase plating speed in this paper. BPPS(Bidirection pulse power supply) needs high speed rising time, falling time and output current accuracy. BPPS consists of rectifier part, chopper part, invertor part, and control part. Rectifier part changes outprt current direction.

압력용기 클래드 보수용 전해니켈도금 인자 관계 연구 (Variables of Electrolytic Nickel Plating for RPV Cladding Repair)

  • Pure nickel with a thickness of 1 mm was plated on type 304 stainless steels and low alloy steels (JIS G3131 SPHC) by electrolytic plating method in a circulating plating bath. Plating performance, mechanical properties, and surface characteristics were evaluated in terms of pretreatment process, anode material, pH, current density, and flow rate of the plating solution. Addition of hydrochloric acid during pre-treatment process improved the adhesion performance of plating. To improve plating efficiency, it is desirable to use S-nickel rather than electrolytic nickel. The use of S-nickel was also confirmed to be desirable for maintaining the pH and concentration of the plated solution. The defect of the plating using S-nickel anode produced pit on the surface. However, it is believed that proper control can be obtained by increasing the flow rate. Internal stress and hardness values of electrolytic nickel plating according to current density need to be carried out with further studies.

유기박막을 이용한 Si기판상의 구리피복층 형성에 관한 연구 (Plating of Cu layer with the aid of organic film on Si-wafer)

  • 본 논문에서는 Si wafer와 Cu사이의 밀착력을 증가시키기 위해 Si wafer전처리 후 plasma와 SAMs처리 방법에 의한 Cu도금의 형성에 관한 방법을 설명하였다. Si wafer를 Piranha solution과 $0.5{\%}$ HF처리 후 유기박막인 SAMs과 plasma를 이용하는 방법으로 wafer와 Cu층 사이의 밀착력을 증가시켰다. 도금층의 밀착력은 scratch test 로 측정하였으며 , AFM을 이용해 시편에 형성된 패턴의 형태를 관찰하고 SEM과 EDS를 이용해 시편의 조직을 관찰하였다. 그 결과 Si wafer를 $O_{2}, He, SAMs$를 혼합처리 했을 때 밀착성이 가장 우수하였다.

Cu-18wt% Cr 합금박막과 폴리이미드사이의 접착력 : 열처리 영향 (Adhesion between Cu-18wt% Cr Alloy Film and Polyimide : Effect of Heat Treatment)

  • The effect of heat treatment on the adhesion between Cu-18wt% Cr film and polyimide has been studied by using T-peel test, AES, and XRD. Cu-18wt% Cr alloy and pure Cu films were sputter deposited onto pol-yimide. Cu was electroplated before and after heat treatment at $400^{\circ}C$ for 0.5 hr and 2 hrs respectively. The adhesion of metal film onto polyimide was considerably good before heat treatment, but heat treatment re-duced the peel adhesion strength in all specimens. The reduction in adhesion in adhesion strength values in the specimens which were plated after heat treatment was mainly due to Cr-O rich pahse formed in the metal/polyimide in-terface. In the specimens which were heat treated after plating, the enhanced ductility in the metal films con-tributes the peel adhesion strength by increasing the amount of deformation in metal strips.

무전해 Ni 도금법을 이용한 전자파 차폐용 도전성 EPDM 고무의 제조 (Preparation of conductive EPDM rubber sheets by electroless Ni-plating for electromagnetic interference shielding applications)

  • 본 연구에서는 전자파 차폐형 MCT(multi cable transit)의 인서트블록에 사용되는 유연성 EPDM(ethylene propylene diene monomer)고무 상에 무전해 도금을 이용하여 니켈도금을 실시하였다. 도금욕의 공정변수 조절 즉 pH 및 온도에 따라 Ni 도금층의 결정성 및 부착력이 결정되었다. pH와 온도를 달리하여 합성 한 결과 pH 7 및 8, $60{\sim}70^{\circ}C$에서 얻은 도금막들에서 잘 발달된 결정상과 높은 전기 전도도를 가짐을 알 수 있었다. pH 7, $70^{\circ}C$에서 도금 시 가장 높은 부착력 및 전기전도도를 얻을 수 있었으며, 또한 400 MHz~1 GHz 범위에서 우수한 전자파 차단능을 얻을 수 있었다.
