Unlike other facilities, maintaining processes is essential in industrial facilities. Pipe racks, which support pipes of various diameters, are important structures used in industrial facilities. Since the transport process of pipes directly affects the operation of industrial facilities, a fragility curve should be derived based on considering not only the pipe racks' structural safety but also the pipes' transport process. There are several studies where the fragility curves have been determined based on the structural behavior of pipe racks. However, few studies consider the damage criteria of pipes to ensure the transportation process, such as local buckling and tensile failure with surface defects. In this study, an analysis model of a typical straight pipe rack used in domestic industrial facilities is constructed, and incremental dynamic analysis using nonlinear response history analysis is performed to estimate the parameters of the fragility curve by the maximum likelihood estimation. In addition, the pipe rack's structural behavior and the pipe's damage criteria are considered the limit state for the fragility curve. The limit states considered in this paper to evaluate fragility curves are more reasonable to ensure the transportation process of the pipe systems.

The dynamic instability and natural frequency of an axially moving pipe conveying fluid are investigated. Thus, the effects of fluid velocity and moving speed on the stability of the system are studied. The governing equation of motion of the moving pipe conveying fluid is derived from the extended Hamilton's principle. The eigenvalues are investigated for the pipe system via the Galerkin method under the simple support boundary. Numerical examples show the effects of the fluid velocity and moving speed on the stability of system. Moreover, the lowest critical moving speeds for the simply supported ends have been presented.
In this work, the linear vibration characteristics of $90^{\circ}$ pipe bends and their cylindrical and toroidal shell components are studied. The finite element method, based on shear-deformation shell elements, is used to carry out a vibration analysis of metallic multiple $90^{\circ}$ mitred pipe bends. Single, double, and triple mitred bends are considered, as well as a smooth bend. Sample natural frequencies and mode shapes are given. To validate the procedure, comparison of the natural frequencies is made with existing results for cylindrical and toroidal shells. The influence of the multiplicity of the bend, the boundary conditions, and the various geometric parameters on the natural frequency is described. The differential quadrature method, based on classical shell theory, is used to study the vibration of components of these bends. Regression formulas are derived for cylindrical shells (straight pipes) with one or two oblique edges, and for sectorial toroidal shells (curved pipes, pipe elbows). Two types of support are considered for each case. The results given provide information about the vibration characteristics of pipe bends over a wide range of the geometric parameters.

The development of data-based models requires uncertainty analysis to explain the accuracy of their predictions. In this paper, an uncertainty analysis of the support vector regression (SVR) model, which is a data-based model, was performed because previous research showed that the SVR method accurately estimates the collapse moments of wall-thinned pipe bends and elbows. The uncertainty analysis method used in this study was an analytic uncertainty analysis method, and estimates with a 95% confidence interval were obtained for 370 test data points. From the results, the prediction interval (PI) was very narrow, which means that the predicted values are quite accurate. Therefore, the proposed SVR method can be used effectively to assess and validate the integrity of the wall-thinned pipe bends and elbows.

This research is experimental paper to prepare the structural safety of the upper bridge for support type on tunnel and the effect of settlement. Unit weight test and uni-axial compression test have been performed to simulate the physical property of foundation on the tunnel. Tunnel model of slip form type for centrifuge model has been developed to performed the tunnel excavation while field stress is activated. And the support type of tunnel such as umbrella arch method and large diameter steel pipe reinforce method has been tested for the centrifuge model. After the analysis of experiment, results show that internal displacement of large diameter steel pipe reinforce method is smaller than that of the umbrella arch method.

The paper presents the influences of the external damping and the tip mass on dynamic stability of a vertical cantilevered pipe conveying fluid. In general, real pipe systems may have some valves and attached mechanical parts, which can be regarded as attached lumped masses and support-dampers. The support-dampers can be assumed as viscous dampers. The equations of motion are derived by energy expressions using extended Hamilton's principle, and some numerical results using Galerkin's method are presented. Critical flow velocities and stability maps of the pipe with external dampers and tip mass are obtained for various tip mass ratios, external damping coefficients and positions of the viscous dampers.

An automatic pipe routing system is proposed and implemented. Generally, the pipe routing design as a part of the shipbuilding process requires a considerable number of man hours due to the complexity which comes from physical and operational constraints and the crucial influence on outfitting construction productivity. Therefore, the automation of pipe routing design operations and processes has always been one of the most important goals for improvements in shipbuilding design. The proposed system is applied to a pipe routing design in the engine room space of a commercial ship. The effectiveness of this system is verified as a reasonable form of support for pipe routing design jobs. The automatic routing result of this system can serve as a good basis model in the initial stages of pipe routing design, allowing the designer to reduce their design lead time significantly. As a result, the design productivity overall can be improved with this automatic pipe routing system.

Nonlinear property and contact matter are analyzed about the pipe applied with internal pressure through this study. The weakest part and its safety can be examined. Maximum equivalent stress is shown at the contact surface between bolt and nut. The value of contact stress with the pressure of 12MPa is increased 1.4 times as large as that with no pressure. The maximum contact pressure is shown at the clamp corner of the external surface on pipe. The value of contact pressure with the pressure of 12MPa is increased 1.4 times as large as that with no pressure. The radial deformation with no pressure is also increased greatly at the middle part of internal surface on pipe. But this maximum deformation on pipe with the pressure of 12MPa is shown at the part far away the support of pipe. This value is increased 5.7 times as large as that value with no pressure. As contact status, the sticking occurs most at the external surface of pipe. It also tends to occur at the contact surface between bolt and nut. At the external surface of pipe, the sticking in case of the pressure of 12MPa occurs more than that in case of no pressure.
Ministry of Environment has been promoting BTL business of the sewer rehabilitation which continues from 2005 up to now. Sewer rehabilitation is classified into three parts : wastewater pipe rehabilitation, rainwater pipe rehabilitation and drainage equipment rehabilitation. Drainage equipment rehabilitation is that drainage pipe connects wastewater pipe directly without water-purifier. In the drainage equipment construction, it is inevitable to have the damage of ground structures(wall, gate and U drain, etc) when an open excavation method is used. Therefore it is necessary to develop non-excavation method to connect drainage pipe and wastewater pipe like jacking method to avoid the damage of ground structure. This paper has conducted an analysis of the non-excavation method using a boring machine attached to backhoe, which is issued the verification certificate of environmental technology according to the Development of and Support for Environmental Technology Act, article.7. The index set in this analysis was sectionalized to the condition of construction, the grade of drainage pipe, the size of excavated hole, the amount of waste cement concrete and asphalt concrete and the benefit effect compared to open excavation method.
