In this paper, alternative potentials to explain the scattering cross sections of $^{7,9,10,11,12,14}Be$ isotopes by a $^{12}C$ target nucleus at different energies are researched. For this purpose, fourteen different proximity potentials, such as Proximity 1966, Proximity 1976, Proximity 1977, Proximity 1979, Proximity 1984, Proximity 1988, Proximity 1995, Broglia and Winther 1991, Aage Winther, Bass 1973, Bass 1977, Bass 1980, Christensen and Winther 1976, and $Ng{\hat{o}}$ 1980, are used to produce the real potential within the optical model. The imaginary potential is formed by using the Woods-Saxon potential. The theoretical results are compared with both experimental data and data reported in the literature. The results are in good agreement with the data. The proximity potentials are observed to play a significant role in obtaining the scattering cross sections of $^{7,9,10,11,12,14}Be$ isotopes.
The purpose of this study is to investigate design elements to strengthen apartment communities in territoriality perspectives. To this end, the study first identified the functions of territoriality to communities, and examined precedent studies on community planning. Then, looking into actual apartment, the study analyzed design elements of the apartments by territoriality functions, and found significant community-building and community-strengthening elements. The results of case studies are as follows: Specific design elements are 1) both individual and shared places from the perspective of possession, 2) both physical boundaries including visible mark and physical demarcation, and emotional boundaries including space arrangement and visual expansion from the perspective of boundary-regulation, 3) both physical proximity, such as providing space for physical encounter and easy access, and emotional proximity such as homogeneity and intimacy from the perspective of proximity 4) design differentiation and adoption of the design concept to express the identity of the community from the perspective of proximity personalization.
The purpose of this study was to find out the mutual relations of self-efficacy proximity of cosmetic to self and proximity of clothing to self. The researcher used the scale of Sherer Mercadante Maddux Rrentice-Dunn Jacobs and Rogers(1982) for a general and social self-efficacy. The scale of Ryckman Roddins Thorton and Cantrell(1982) for a physical self-efficacy. The researcher corrected and supplemented the tools on the basis of Sontag(1987)'s scale for proximity of clothing to self. The researcher developed proximity of cos-metic to self. The subjects of this study were 172 girl students in the university. The research was analyzed by MANOVA Scheff post hoc test and Cronback a. The Results of this study were as follows: 1. The person who had a higher self-efficacy was higher in the hoy and skin-carve in the sub-causes of proximity of cosmetic to self. There was no difference in social-confidence self-satisfaction and disguise. 2. The person who had a higher self-efficacy was high in the self-expression and the physi-cal satisfaction in the sub-causes of proximity of clothing to self. There was no difference in the joy self-consciousness the consciousness of others and the novelity. 3. The person who had a higher proximity of cosmetic to self was higher in the joy, self-ex-pression and self-consciousness of others and the novelity. There was no difference in the physical satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to examine the proximity of cosmetic to self by self-efficacy. The scales used in this study include the scale of Sherer, Mercadante, Maddux, Rrentice-Dunn, Jacobs and Rogers(1982) for general and social self-efficacy, the scale of Ryckman, Roddins, Thorton, and Cantrell(1982) for physical self-efficacy, and the scale developed by the researcher for proximity of cosmetic to self. The subjects of this study were 885 adult women in Taegu. The data collected were analyzed by using MANOVA, ANOVA, and the Cronbach $\alpha$ reliability was also applied. The results of this study were summarized as follows: The persons with high general self-efficacy showed high degrees of joy of change in the sub-factors of proximity of cosmetic to self, while there was no difference in social confidence, skin care, self-satisfaction and instrument of disguise between persons with high general self-efficacy and those with low general self-efficacy. In addition, the persons with high social self-efficacy showed high degree of social confidence, skin care, joy of change, self-satisfaction and instrument of disguise in the sub-factors of proximity of cosmetic to self. And the persons With high physical self-efficacy had high degrees of joy of change and disguise. In the sub-factors of proximity of cosmetic to self, while there was no difference in the social confidence, skin care, self-satisfaction between persons with high physical self-efficacy and those With low physical self-efficacy.
It is our purpose in this paper to introduce the concept of best random proximity pair for subsets A and B of a separable Banach space E. We prove some best random approximation and best random proximity pair theorems of certain classes of random operators, which is the stochastic verse of the deterministic results of Eldred et al. [22], Eldred et al. [18] and Eldred and Veeramani [19]. Furthermore, our results generalize and extend recent results of Okeke and Abbas [42] and Okeke and Kim [43]. Moreover, we shall apply our results to study nonlinear stochastic integral equations of the Hammerstein type.
This study examined bidirectional associations between intergenerational residential proximity and older parents' mental and physical health. The data were drawn from first three waves of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA, 2006, 2008, 2010), a nationally representative sample of adults 45 years or older and their spouses. The analytic sample consisted of 2,391 parents aged 60 years or older with at least one child who were continuously married between 2006 and 2010. Intergenerational residential proximity was measured with travel time between parental residence and that of the oldest of the continuously married children. For statistical analysis, autoregressive cross-lagged models were estimated using AMOS. Findings suggest that intergenerational residential proximity may have bidirectional associations with functional health, and an unidirectional association with life satisfaction. Specifically, a closer distance to a married son or daughter reported in 2006 was associated with poorer functional health of the parent in 2008. An older parent's greater number of functional limitations in 2006 was also related to a closer residential proximity to the married child in 2008. A greater residential proximity to a son, but not a daughter, reported in 2006 was associated with a higher level of parental life satisfaction in 2008. Overall, results suggest that having nearby a married adult child, particularly a married son, may help maintain parental health.
The purpose of this study was to examine the proximity of clothing to self and proximity of cosmetic to self by Degree of Cosmetics. The scales used in this study include the arranged on the basis of Sontag (1978) 's study for proximity of clothing to self, and the scale developed by the researcher for proximity of cosmetic to self. The subjects of this study were 885 adult women in Taegu. The data collected were analyzed by using MANOVA, ANOVA, and the Cronbach a was also applied. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The persons with high degree of cosmetics showed high degrees of joy of change, self-value expression, novelty, self-consciousness and consciousness to others in the sub-factors of proximity of clothing to self, while there was not significant difference in physical satisfaction. 2. The persons with high degree of cosmetics showed high degrees of social confidence, skin care, joy of change, self-satisfaction, instrument of disguise in the sub-factors of proximity of cosmetic to self.
Objectives: This study examined the effects of residential proximity to adult children on the mental and physical health of middle-aged and older parents. The study also evaluated whether the parental age and gender of the adult child in closest proximity to the parent might moderate the association. Method: Data were drawn from five waves of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(2006-2014). The analytic sample consisted of 7,359 parents aged 45 or older who had at least one non-coresidential adult child aged 19 or older. The analyses were conducted by estimating a series of fixed effects models while adjusting for the nested structure of the data. Results: The results showed that first, a closer distance between an adult child and the parent was generally associated with the parent experiencing a decrease in depressive symptoms. Yet, the mental health benefit was smaller for parents aged 65 years or older whose closest living adult child was a son. Second, a closer distance was observed to affect chronic illness only among middle-aged parents (aged 45 to 64). When the closest living adult child was a daughter, the middle-aged parent experienced deterioration in their chronic illness. On the other hand, the opposite pattern was observed when the closest living adult child was a son. Conclusions: The parental age and gender of the adult child in closest proximity to the parent might have varying effects on parents' health. A closer distance between an adult child and their parent has a positive impact on the mental health of the parent as a whole, whereas the effect of living closer was mixed in relation to the parental physical health.
Several non-methylotrophic bacteria have been reported to improve the growth and activity of methanotrophs; however, their interactions remain to be elucidated. We investigated the interaction between Methylocystis sp. M6 and Microbacterium sp. NM2. A batch co-culture experiment showed that NM2 markedly increased the biomass and methane removal of M6. qPCR analysis revealed that NM2 enhanced both the growth and methane-monooxygenase gene expression of M6. A fed-batch experiment showed that co-culture was more efficient in removing methane than M6 alone (28.4 vs. $18.8{\mu}mol{\cdot}l^{-1}{\cdot}d^{-1}$), although the biomass levels were similar. A starvation experiment for 21 days showed that M6 population remained stable while NM2 population decreased by 66% in co-culture, but the results were opposite in pure cultures, indicating that M6 may cross-feed growth substrates from NM2. These results indicate that M6 apparently had no negative effect on NM2 when M6 actively proliferated with methane. Interestingly, a batch experiment involving a dialysis membrane indicates that physical proximity between NM2 and M6 is required for such biomass and methane removal enhancement. Collectively, the observed interaction is beneficial to the methanotroph but adversely affects the non-methylotroph; moreover, it requires physical proximity, suggesting a tight association between methanotrophs and non-methylotrophs in natural environments.

This research was conducted to investigate methods to strengthen the apartment community from the territoriality point of view. In order to achieve this goal, first of all the concept and the structure of territoriality are studied through articles and literature reviews to ensure a full understanding of the community strengthening-related plan elements suggested in the previous research. The study is then divided into the categories of semi-private territory and semi-public territory to pursue analysis based on the issues related to strengthening community such as possession, proximity, defense, boundary-regulation, and personalization in case by case studies. The results of case studies are as follows: in the case of possession with psychological concept of possession, the extension of private space and exclusive space are suggested. And for the concept of proximity, that is, the physical and psychological distance for sense of the same nature, increased opportunity of meeting the residents in the same building or same area are suggested And for the psychological proximity, familiar design and facilities for meeting and exchange-related methods are shown. For the case of indirect defense in defense concept, the methods related to monitoring and supervising facilities for protection are found. For the boundary-regulations, it is based on the concepts of physical and psychological borderlines; walls either vertical or horizontal, or such obstacle-related methods are suggested for the physical borderline, and space structure and symbols-related methods are found for psychological borderline. Finally, for the case of personalization which is related to the expression of identity, design-related methods are suggested.
