  • This study is to stimulate the model of which top notch muscle stimuli physical therapy has been made on the basis of GCM. GCM has been studied on the hypermobility & hypomobility pattern on the part of spine & extremity, and the body characteristics of four body types, which is the tilting of seal scapular & ilium. The purpose of this study is to analysize the type of GCM which has been focused on the spine & extremity for the patients having dysfunctions of neuromuscular system, being analysized the movement. The result of this study is as following; 1) The First hypothesis: The hypermobility & hypomobility pattern assorted by the tilting of scapular & ilium, as does the former study analysize was claimed that it would be in line with the pattern for hypermobility hypomobility and physical characteristics according to each body type at the percentage of at least 60(p<.001). 2) The 2nd hypothesis : Stimuli therapy of muscle dealing with physical characteristics and joint hypermobility hypomobility has the important role in restoring the deformity and keeping anatomical postural plumb alignment also it would a highly effects on correcting the body even though the stimuli area was limited to four areas and it was lack of time compared with those applied by general physical therapy(p<.001). As above the result, the top-notch type for physical therapy based on hypermobility hypomobility pattern by 4 body types which has been studied on tilting of scapular & ilium is more specificed and specialized than those of general physical therapy technologies. So this study will be believed to dedicate to restoration ideal anatomical postural plumb alignment based on spinal Manipulation and the concept of whole person as well as to being simple and effective to apply.

  • In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Among those of the Northeast Asia three countries, school physical education and military-style gymnastics of Chosun can be regarded as having been the most nationalistic. The adoption of modern physical education in public schools was from the proclamation of 'the Order on Building the Country through Education by King Gojong in February 1895. This paper intends to examine the process of adopting military-style gymnastics education which played the central role in school physical education in the late Chosun period. But, unlike the common guess that military-style gymnastics in public schools in late Chosun would have been full of patriotism and nationalism, the textbooks and teaching contents of Chosun Military Officers' School were very similar to those of Japan, which is an unexpected fact. Therefore, Chosun decided to accept the Japanese-type military-style gymnastics and military training to improve physical strength of youngsters and military power. The fact that, with the advent of modern education, physical education was emphasized above all else has a very important meaning to the history of Korean physical education. Physical activity education emerged as a major education course which had been unthinkable in previous ages. The second characteristics is that the process of adopting military-style gymnastics and its contents were influenced by Japan Third, even if military-style gymnastics was imported from Japan as part of school physical education course in late Chosun period, its aim was to train military man powers for the independence movement against Japan, rather than to develop harmonious body.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of obstacle gait using spatio-temporal and foot pressure variables in children with autism. Fifteen children with autism and fifteen age-matched controls participated in the study. Spatio-temporal and foot pressure variables was investigated using GAITRite pressure sensor system. Each footprint was divided into 12 equal trapezoids and after that the hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot analysis was developed. Independent t-test was applied to compare the gait variables between the groups. The results showed that the autism group were significantly decreased in velocity, cadence, cycle and swing time compared to the control group. The autism group were significantly increased in step width and toe out angle compared to the control group. The autism group were significantly increased at midfoot and forefoot of lateral part of footprint and forefoot of medial part of footprint in the peak time compared to the control group. The autism group were significantly increased at midfoot and hindfoot in $P^*t$, at midfoot in active area, and at hindfoot in peak pressure compared to the control group. In conclusion, the children with autism showed abnormal obstacle gait characteristics due to muscle hypotonia, muscle rigidity, akinesia, bradykinesia and postural control impairments.

  • This paper presents a mechanical model of Rain-Wind Induced Vibration (RWIV) of stay cables. It is based on the physical interpretation of the phenomenon as given in Cosentino, et al. (2003, referred as Part I). The model takes into account all the main forces acting on cable, on the upper water rivulet (responsible of the excitation) and the cable-rivulet interaction. It is a simplified (cable cross-sectional and deterministic) representation of the actual (stochastic and three-dimensional) phenomenon. The cable is represented by its cross section and it is subjected to mechanical and aerodynamic (considering the rivulet influence) forces. The rivulet is supposed to oscillate along the cable circumference and it is subjected to inertial and gravity forces, pressure gradients and air-water-cable frictions. The model parameters are calibrated by fitting with experimental results. In order to validate the proposed model and its physical basis, different conditions (wind speed and direction, cable frequency, etc.) have been numerically investigated. The results, which are in very good agreement with the RWIV field observations, confirm the validity of the method and its engineering applicability (to evaluate the RWIV sensitivity of new stays or to retrofit the existing ones). Nevertheless, the practical use of the model probably requires a more accurate calibration of some parameters through new and specifically oriented wind tunnel tests.

  • This research analyzes how female college students' perception of somatotype-self and their satisfactions with their somatotype-self affect their appearance-management behaviors. The result is as follows: 1)An analysis of subjects' physical characteristics revealed that the average figures of their body sizes were within the normal boundaries. The average Quetelet Index of the subjects, which determines obesity of adults, was slightly below the nationwide physical standard of Korea. 2)The subjects' satisfaction with their each body part shows that the women were unsatisfied with every body-part measurement; height, bust size, waist size, hips size and particularly weight. 3)While most of the respondents recognized that sizes of their body parts were average, they were not happy with their body sizes. 4)Three factors were recognized from the study of appearance-management behaviors of the subjects; we defined them as 'Appearance Management', 'Weight Management', and 'Satisfaction with one's Appearance.' The study showed that the fatter, the more a subject controlled her weight. 5)A correlation study between one's perception of her body and her appearance-management behavior found that the more obese a subject was, the harder the subject was controlling her weight.
