The Implementation of Mobile Facility Management System Supporting Version Management Facility (버전 관리 기능을 지원하는 모바일 시설물 관리 시스템의 구현)

  • Mobile facility management system is a on-site management tool to collect and update various facility data. But there is a chance to make a data inconsistency between lot of concurrent workers. And facility management system requires to keep records about work log within a certain period of time. This paper describes the design and implementation of mobile facility management system, which provide efficient data synchronization mechanism using version managent technique on large facility data in concurrent work environment. And proposed system is able to keep workers update log persistently.

  • In case that limited resources can be mobilized, non-structural countermeasures such as 'monitoring using Information and Communication Technology might be one of solutions to mitigate disaster risks. Having established the monitoring system, operational and maintenance costs to maximize the effectiveness might trouble the authority concerned or duty attendant who is in charge. In this respect, "Guerrilla Sensor" would be very cost effective because of the inherent mobility characteristic. The sensor device with the IRIS camera and GPS (Global Positioning System) equipped, is basically battery-operated and communicates with WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access). It has a strong advantage of capabilities for 'Disaster Response' with immediate and prompt action on the spot, making the best use of IoT (Internet of Things), especially with the mobile web. This paper will explain how the sensor system works in real-time GIS (Geographic Information System) pinpointing the exact location of the abnormal movement/ground displacement and notifying the registered users via SMS (Short Message Service). Real time monitoring with early warning and evaluation of current situations with LBS (Location Based Service), live image and data information can help to reduce the disaster impact. Installation of Guerrilla sensor for a real site application at Gimcheon, South Korea is also reported.

  • Airborne LiDAR integrated with on-board GPS/INS and scanning technology is a state-of the-art system for direct 3D geo-spatial data acquisition. In this study, LiDAR data were calibrated using ground points in calibration site for the higher system accuracy. The accuracy results are ${\pm}15{\sim}30\;cm$ in horizontal and ${\pm}15\;cm$ in vertical. The results show that LiDAR system has capability for precise DEM and contour generation, 3D urban modeling and engineering design.

  • The Mobile Mapping System is an effective method to acquire the position and image data using vehicle equipped with the GPS (Global Positioning System), IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), and CCD camera. It is used in various fields of road facility management, map update, and etc. In the general photogrammetry such as aerial photogrammetry, GCP (Ground Control Point)s are needed to compute the image exterior orientation elements (the position and attitude of camera). These points are measured by field survey at the time of data acquisition. But it costs much time and money. Moreover, it is not possible to make sufficient GCP as much as we want. However Mobile Mapping System is more efficient both in time and money because it can obtain the position and attitude of camera at the time of photographing. That is, Indirect Georeferencing must use GCP to compute the image exterior orientation elements, but on the other hand Direct Georeferencing can directly compute the image exterior orientation elements by GPS/INS. In this paper, we analyze about the positional accuracy comparison of ground point using the Direct Georeferencing and Indirect Georeferencing.

  • Urban land use information is the base data for the urban planning, district-level planning, traffic impact assessment and environmental impact assessment, etc. The level of detail of the current land use information is not enough to analysis and planning. In this study, the status and problems of the current land use information is analysed. The advanced abroad cases, such as LBCS(Land Based Classification System) of American Planning Association, are studied. The purpose of this study is to develop the coding system for urban land use information classification. Through this system, it is anticipated to standardization of land use classification system and improvement of data compactability.

  • Mobile Mapping System can be defined as vehicle mapping system which collects rapidly spatial data by integrated Gps/digital imaging system. Kinematic positioning by GPS is essential technology of Mobile Mapping System. This paper aims at analysing the accuracy and efficiency of kinematic positioning by GPS platformed on moving vehicle. For the purpose, roads were surveyed by vehicle/kinematic GPS. The results show that vehicle/kinematic GPS can measure spatial position faster, and still maintain a reasonable accuracy. But inertial navigation system and GPS should be integrated to compute continuous vehicle track and overcome gaps by blocked satellite signals for the more accurate positioning.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the AM/FM system for a university using internet GIS. Because the developed system has an additional Java Applet functions, web user can execute dynamic data processing including static HTML GUI. The developed internet AM/FM system could be used for effective management work exact search and inquiry of both graphic information and attribute information rapidly. Also, it has the functions of mapping, attribute and spatial information searching, spatial query processing, etc.. Besides, this system could be used for realtime facility in any place or office using internet.

Improved Georeferencing of a Wearable Indoor Mapping System Using NDT and Sensor Integration

  • Three-dimensional data has been used for different applications such as robotics, building reconstruction, and so on. 3D data can be generated from an optical camera or a laser scanner. Especially, a wearable multi-sensor system including the above-mentioned sensors is an optimized structure that can overcome the drawbacks of each sensor. After finding the geometric relationships between sensors, georeferencing of the datasets acquired from the moving system, should be carried out. Especially, in an indoor environment, error propagation always causes problem in the georeferencing process. To improve the accuracy of this process, other sources of data were used to combine with LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data, and various registration methods were also tested to find the most suitable way. More specifically, this paper proposed a new process of NDT (Normal Distribution Transform) to register the LiDAR point cloud, with additional information from other sensors. For real experiment, a wearable mapping system was used to acquire datasets in an indoor environment. The results showed that applying the new process of NDT and combining LiDAR data with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) information achieved the best result with the RMSE 0.063 m.
