A half bridge time sharing type high frequency resonant inverter to give VVVF function in the inverter used as power source of induction heating at high frequency is presented in this paper, this paper also realize the output control of independence irrespective of the switching frequency using Phase-Shift. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normalized parameters. Also, the principle of basic operation and the its characteristics are estimated by the parameters, such as switching frequency, the variation of phase angle(${\varphi}$) of Phase-Shift. It is certain that the proposed circuit will be used and expanded in the high frequency power supplies like induction heating systems.
This paper presents the evaluation of a three-phase three-level DC-DC converter which achieves the soft switching condition for all switches in the circuit and uses the phase-shift PWM strategy to adjust electric power at the output side. According to the analysis, the operation modes can be categorized into two cases: in the first case, where the phase shift angle is less than 120 degrees and in the second case, where the phase shift angle is more than 120 degrees. The outer switches of the circuit operate under ZVS condition and the inner switches operate under ZVZCS condition. It has been discovered that under ZCS condition of the inner switches, when the blocking capacitors decrease, they make the voltage across the blocking capacitor higher so the current reduce rapidly. A three-phase three-level DC-DC converter has a maximum efficiency of 93.5% when its load is of 5.7 kW. The results from the experiment have been compared to the results obtained by the $MATLAB^{(R)}$ simulator in order to confirm the validity of the proposed converter.

We derive analytic expressions for the spontaneous emission spectrum (SES) of a multisection distributed feedback (DFB) structure device employing complex coupled gratings including the effects of both facets reflections. The multisection DFB structure device used in the analysis is a general model which allows the independent phase of a grating in each section, and the sections without gratings. The expressions are the same as those derived by makino and glinski in case the gratings are index coupled and the phase of a grating in each section, ${\varphi}_k$ is '0' which means the phase of gratings in the device is ocntinuous. The expressions for the SES of a phase-shift-controlled (PSC) DFB structure device using tunable devices are derived from the general expressions. The number of parametes of the expressions is reduced by using the parameter of effective phase shift defined by the sum of the phase shift in a PSC region and the difference of the phase of a grating in each active region. Equations showing the effect of both facets reflections and the effective phase shift on the SES are derived. The validaty of the equations is verified by computer simultions. Computer simulation results also show the possibility of evaluating the structure parametes of the device from its SES.

Transmission performances of direct detection-based 100-Gb/s modulation formats are investigated and compared for metro area optical networks. The effects of optical signal-to-noise ratio sensitivity, chromatic dispersion, cross-channel nonlinearity, and transmission distance on the performance of differential 8-ary phase-shift keying (D8PSK), differential phase-shift keying plus three-level amplitude-shift keying (DPSK+3ASK), and dual-carrier differential quaternary phase-shift keying (DC-DQPSK) are evaluated. The performance of coherent dual-polarization quadrature phase-shift keying (DP-QPSK) with block phase estimation and coherent DP-QPSK with digital differential detection are also presented for reference. According to our analysis, all three direct detection modulation formats could transmit a 100-Gb/s signal over several hundred kilometers of a single-mode fiber link. The results also show that DC-DQPSK outperforms D8PSK and DPSK+3ASK, and the performance of DC-DQPSK is comparable to that of coherent DP-QPSK with digital differential detection. The maximum transmission distance of DC-DQPSK is over 1,000 km, which is enough distance for metro applications.
We report here on the application of a digital holographic microscope as a metrology tool for the inspection and the micro-topography reconstruction of different micro-structures of phase shift photo-mask (PSM). The lithography by phase shift photo-mask uses the interference and the pattern of the PSM is not imaged by general optical microscope. The technique allows us to obtain digitally a high-fidelity surface topography description of the phase shift photo-mask with only one hologram image acquisition, allowing us to have relatively simple and compact set-ups able to give quantitative information of PSM.
The phase-shift method and correlation constants, which are unique electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques for studying the linear relationship between the phase shift ($90^{\circ}{\geq}-{\varphi}{\geq}0^{\circ}$) vs. potential (E) behavior for the optimum intermediate frequency ($f_o$) and the fractional surface coverage ($0{\leq}{\theta}{\leq}1$) vs. E behavior, are proposed and verified to determine the Frumkin, Langmuir, and Temkin adsorption isotherms and the related electrode kinetic and thermodynamic parameters. At Ni/0.5 M $H_2SO_4$ and 0.1M LiOH aqueous solution interfaces, the Frumkin and Temkin adsorption isotherms (${\theta}$ vs. E) of H for the cathodic hydrogen ($H_2$) evolution, interaction parameters (g), equilibrium constants (K), standard Gibbs energies (${\Delta}G^0_{\theta}$) of H adsorption, and rates of change (r) of ${\Delta}G^0_{\theta}$ with ${\theta}$ have been determined using the phase-shift method and correlation constants. A lateral repulsive interaction (g>0) between the adsorbed H species appears. The value of K in the alkaline aqueous solution is much greater than that in the acidic aqueous solution.

This paper presents a novel series connected DC/DC converter and a proper variable phase shift switching method in order to obtain high voltage ratio for fuel cell system. The proposed series connected DC/DC converter has same rectifier and LC filter for DC output voltage, so it can reduce the number of passive devices regardless of the converter number. In the conventional constant phase shift switching method, the proposed series connected DC converters have inverse bias output voltage. In order to overcome this problem, a simple but proper variable phase shift switching method is proposed in the a novel series connected DC/DC converter. In order to verify the proposed system, simulation and experiments are implemented.

Conventionally, ZVS FB DC/DC converter was controlled by monolithic IC UC3879, which includes the functions of oscillator, error amplifier and phase-shift circuit. Also, microprocessor and DSP have been widely used for the remote control and for the immediate waveform control in ZVS FB DC/DC converter. However the conventional microprocessor controller is complex and difficult to control because the controller consists of analog and digital parts. In the case of the control of FB DC/DC converter, the output is required of driving a direct signal to the switch drive circuits by the digital controller. So, this paper presents the method and realization of designing the digital-to-phase shift PWM circuit controlled by DSP (TMX320C32) in a 2,500A, 40㎾ ZVS FB DC/DC converter.
A new phase shift PWM parallel-input/series-output modularized dual converter is proposed in this paper. This converter is operated with a fixed duty ratio and its output voltage is regulated by phase shift between each module. Since the operating duty ratio of each module is fixed it is sufficient to implement a simple open loop drive circuitry for each module and the cost of total system can be much reduced. The operation of the converter is analyzed in this paper and verified by computer simulation.
In this paper, a zero-voltage switching (ZVS) phase shift full-bridge converter is analyzed. The small-signal model is derived to design a digital controller. PLECS simulation shows how sampling method effects on transfer function of ZVS phase shift full-bridge converter.
