The design and implementation of the personalized service agent using user information (사용자 정보를 활용한 개인 맞춤형 에이전트의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper we introduce a design and implementation of an agent for multimedia retrieval and personalized broadcasting service. It is compliant with TV Anytime Forum specifications and supports searching location resolving, storing and streaming of remote multimedia contents. For this service, we implemented a contents server, a 메타데이터 database server, a location resolution server and a client terminal is implemented The Client terminal gathers content information by SOAP of operation, and it has a user preference module and usage history module that make user information. The personalize service agent recommends suitable contents to user by similarity algorithm.

  • With the developing of current multimedia broadcasting, user will be provided for lots of various content through the various channel and media. Content provider and consumer want the various service using content with the better quality which is fit to users' preference. For transmitting this content in the limited transmission channel capacity, it needs to transmit the highly compressed content. The content of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 enables the various content service that provides the lower size and the resonable quality, and Personalize(Targeting) service just provide the contents that user more wants and likes. This paper presents the study on the targeting service using compression of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 and the adaptation of Embedded Graphic application program using it.

  • 웹 2.0 이라 불리는 현 웹의 패러다임은 개방, 공유, 참여로 압축하여 말할 수 있다. 이 속에서는 사용자의 참여와 공유로 콘텐츠가 생산 또는 재생산된다. 이러한 콘텐츠는 사용자의 관심을 반영하기 때문에 사용자가 어떠한 콘텐츠를 만들어 냈는지, 수집했는지 등을 분석하면 사용자의 관심 범주를 추출할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 소셜 북마킹 서비스를 이용하며 생성한 태그를 바탕으로 사용자의 관심 범주를 추출하여 이를 통해 개인화 콘텐츠 제공 서비스를 제안한다. 우선, 웹 서비스에서 제공하는 피드를 이용하여 사용자가 생성한 태그 중 가장 많이 쓰인 10개의 태그와 그것들과 관련 있는 태그들만 모아서 관심 범주을 추출하기 위한 태그 집합을 구성한다. 구성된 태그 집합을 바탕으로 피어슨 상관 계수를 통해 태그 간 동시 사용률을 조사한다. 이후 사용자 흥미에 부합하는 콘텐츠를 검색하기 위해 조사된 동시 사용률을 바탕으로 검색 키워드 그룹을 추출한다. 이렇게 만들어진 키워드 그룹들은 사용자의 평소 관심사와 관련된 콘텐츠를 검색하는데 사용되며, 이를 통해 사용자의 관심 있는 내용의 콘텐츠를 사용자의 특별한 검색 절차 없이 제공받는다. 이러한 방식을 통해 사용자가 원하는 정보를 입력하는 절차 없이도 웹에 축적된 사용자의 정보를 사용하여 자동으로 개인화된 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대 된다.

  • This study developed augmented reality contents for assembly of automobile engine parts for blended learning and confirmed the usefulness of educational effects through questionnaire.The curriculum for automobile engine assembly was designed and the shape, location, and assembly order of parts to be assembled according to each curriculum were developed as augmented reality contents. The AR simulations are combined with learner-centered collaborative activities so that students are actively involved in knowledge acquisition. The teachers' role, therefore, shifts. Rather than delivering direct instruction, they take on the role of facilitator, allowing them to personalize learning according to student performance, learning preferences and learning goals. As the responsibility of knowledge acquisition shifts to the students, higher level skills such as complex problem solving, social skills, process skills, systems skills and cognitive abilities are deepened and reinforced.

  • This paper presents research in intelligent massenger technique for Cyber University to support accessing university database. Proposed techniques enables better communication between students and professons by using intelligent messenger. Intranet based massenger support simple message transfer and multimedia chatting service within homogeneous network or members in same group. Using niversity database it provide personalize information for each different user demand needs and through managing technique user could effectively organize members of group. To embody intelligent massenger, JMF(Java Media Frame Work), RMI(Remote Method Invocation), XML techniques were proposed and in result constructing effective community.

  • In this thesis, we suggested an e-learning model, which is named 'goal driven personalized e-learning system' to improve educational effects, and implemented it. The system makes the learner choose the learning goal which could be a motivational power for learning, so it enabled self-directed learning. In order to implement the system, we proposed new standards related to personalization by modifying SCORM 2004 standard. New standards stand for the statistics on learning objects usage, a goal for driving learning. and information of the contents model and the sequencing information model, which are parts of the system previously suggested. We implemented the system, and then proved that personalize e-learning is possible by showing that the system could offer a learning path individually to learners who have different characteristics.

  • Compared with analog broadcasting, digital broadcasting supports technical background to provide personalize the TV watching environment by offering broadcasting services that can adapt to viewers' preferences. However, current digital broadcasting shows limited services such as reservation recording, simple program guiding with an electronic program guide (EPG) on a personal video recorder system, and primitive data broadcasting by broadcasters. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to suggest a new broadcasting environment which gives a person facility and a difference fur watching TV by serving enhanced personalized services. For that reason, we propose an intelligent broadcasting system which can minimize viewer's actions, and enhanced broadcasting services which are based on understanding of the semantics of broadcasting contents. To implement the system, agent technology as well as the MPEG-7 and TV-Anytime Forum (TVAF) are employed. For content-level services, real-time content filtering and personalized video skimming are designed and implemented. To verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we demonstrate it with a test-bed on which content-level personalized services are implemented.

Meaning of Rating Beyond Recommendation: Explorative Study on the Meaning and Usage of Content Evaluation Based on the User Experience Stages of Personalized Recommender Service (평점의 의미: 개인화 추천 서비스에서 사용자 경험단계에 따른 콘텐츠 평가의 의미와 활용에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • Research on personalized recommender service that uses big data has gained considerable attention given the increasing volume of contents being created. This development indicates the need for service providers to collect personal information and content rating data to personalize content recommendations. Previous studies on this topic proposed algorithms to offer improved recommendations using minimal rating data or service designs and increase the number of ratings. However, limited studies have been conducted on the factors that motivate the ratings input of users, as well as the factors that influence their continuous usage of recommender service. The present study explored the factors that motivate users to enter ratings by conducting in-depth interviews with users who use recommender services. The meanings of these ratings were also explored. Results show that the meaning and usage range of ratings differed based on the stage of a user's with utilization of the service. When users input an initial rating, they treat such a rating as a database to save the impression of a past experience. Such a rating is then used as a tool to reflect the current feeling and thoughts of a user. In the end, users were not only interested in their own rating system, but they also actively sought out the meaning of the rating systems of others and utilized them. Users also expressed mistrust in the recommendations of the service because they were aware of the limitation of the algorithms. This study identified a number of practical implications regarding recommender services.
