We examined how different types of brand personality play a role to develop a specific consumers' expectation toward a brand, and how this expectation works in various ways in different types of brand transgressions. Based on expectancy violation theory and brand transgression research, a 2 (brand personality types: sincerity vs. competence) × 2 (brand transgression types: morality-related vs. competence-related transgression) factorial design was employed. Corporate evaluations and purchase intention toward the brand were considered as dependent variables. We found that a brand having a sincerity personality is more vulnerable to a morality-related transgression. However, there is no difference in consumers' responses by transgression type for a brand with a competence personality. We identified that brand personality types and transgression types can be critical factors to influence consumers' responses in times of crisis. Theoretical and empirical implications are discussed.

This study examined 1) student pilots' personality types, 2) the correlation between students' personality types and their achievement in flight training, 3) the correlation between students' personality types and Instructor Pilot(IP)s' personality type. The study used the Korean version of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) form. A total of 164 students in the year of 2000-2003 completed the inventory. The noticeable majority of student pilot were extroverted (59.6%) - Sensing (79.5%) - Thinking (70.2%) - Judgers (68.9%). Comparing personality types with flight achievement in showed no significant correlation. There was, however, a significant difference seen in comparing personality types with students' flight achievements. Thinking-type students showed higher flight achievements than feeling-type, and some of the personality types combination affects trainee's flight achievement. When both student and the Instructor have same attitude such as E-E or I-I, student's flight achievement was higher than when they have opposite attitude of personality. these findings implicate that the cooperation of students' and IP's personality could affect the students' flight achievement.

This study analyzed children's personality types with the use of the Murphy-Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children(MMTIC: adapted for Korea by Kim, 1993) and examined their relationship to the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking(TTCT-figural, form A) and the Creative Personality Test(CPT: Yim,1997). Subjects were 210 third- and 218 sixth-grade students. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and t-test. Personality types Sensation/Judgment(SJ), Sensation/Perceiving(SP), iNtuition/Thinking(NT) and iNtuition/Feeling(NF) differentiated the eleboration, originality, and flexibility dimensions of creative thinking. There were gender differences in the relation of personality type NF to elaboration and fluency. There were age differences in personality types SP and NF in relation to elaboration. Personality types differentiated between the independence, openness, attachment and adventurousness dimensions of the CPT. Objective: The objective of this study is to classify the personality types of early childhood teachers and examine the variations in teacher self-efficacy and play support based on these personality types. Methods: The subjects of this study consisted of 302 early childhood teachers responsible for children aged 3 to 5 years old. The collected data were analyzed using cluster analysis and analysis of covariance. Results: Early childhood teachers were categorized into four types: the "sensitive group" (29%), the "conservative group" (10%), the "passive group" (28%), and the "active group" (34%). Significant differences in mean scores were observed for teacher self-efficacy and play support across these personality types. Notably, the active group demonstrated the highest levels of both teacher self-efficacy and play support. Consequently, the active group emerged as the most effective and functional personality type among early childhood teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study emphasized the significance of early childhood teachers' personality types in their teaching practices, underscoring the importance of developing in-service and pre-service teacher education programs that take into account these personality types.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between academic personality types and academic achievement in an effort to seek teaching and learning strategies geared toward improving the academic achievement of students. The subjects in this study were 400 dental hygiene students who were randomly selected from three-year colleges in Gyeonggi Province. Their academic personality types and academic achievement were investigated, and the findings of the study were as follows: 1. As for the academic personality types of the subjects, the inquiry-oriented type was most dominant, and the ideal-oriented one was least common. 2. In regard to differences in academic personality types according to academic year, the inquiry-oriented type was most common in every academic year, and there were statistically significant differences(p<.05). 3. As to differences in academic personality types according to academic achievement, the best academic achievement was found in the norm-oriented type, and there were statistically significant differences(p<.05). 4. Concerning differences among the subjects in academic satisfaction according to academic personality types, there were no statistically significant differences(p>.05). When the above-mentioned findings of the study were pieced together, the academic achievement of the subjects varied with their academic personality types, and it's consequently necessary to make an effort to apply different teaching methods and learning methods according to their preferences. As there are individual variances among students in achievement goal, preferred learning method and experience though they study in the same space with different learning methods, the development of student guidance programs tailored to academic personality types seems necessary.

Background and objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects and preferences of horticultural therapy programs for stress relief according to MBTI personality types (Judging and Perceiving types) of female undergraduate students. Methods: The participants were divided into 15 Judging and 15 Perceiving types based on lifestyle preferences of the MBTI personality test, and a total of 30 participants participated in the horticultural therapy programs for 6 sessions. Results: Both Judging and Perceiving types showed a significant decrease in stress after participating in the horticultural therapy programs. Among the 8 life stress subfactors, Judging types showed significant stress relieving effects in 5 subfactors (relationship with the opposite sex, relationship with family, economic problems, future problems, value problems), while Perceiving types showed stress relieving effects in only 3 subfactors (relationship with family, economic problems, future problems). However, the changes in stress relief of 8 subfactors were not significantly different between the two personality types. The most preferred program for the Judging types was 'Making a flower basket', while the most preferred ones for the Perceiving types were 'Planting monstera', and 'Making preserved lemons with marigold', suggesting that the preferences varied depending on personality types. Conclusion: Therefore, it is necessary to develop suitable horticultural therapy programs for different subjects based on their personality types to enhance the effect of the programs on the subjects.
