제연설비 성능시험방법의 표준화 (Standardization of the Performance Test Procedure for Smoke Control System)

  • 화재 시 발생하는 고온의 유독가스는 가장 주요한 사망원인이며 공기와는 다른 유체역학적 특성을 가지므로 화재실의 형상과 특징에 맞는 제연방식이 필요하고 제연설비 각 구성품은 이에 따른 일정한 성능을 요구하게 되는데, 이를 위해서는 성능시험방법과 평가기준이 정립되어 있어야 한다. 이와 관련된 국내 기준은 서류에 의한 예비검사나 부위검사 등으로 되어 있어 성능위주의 평가방법 및 기준이 미비한 실정으로 국제규격과 비교해볼 때 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 제연설비 주요 구성품인 제연경계벽, 배연구, 송풍기, 풍도, 방연댐퍼에 대해 국내외 기준을 비교 분석하고 문제점을 도출하여 각 구성품의 성능시험방법 표준화를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

국방획득체계와 연계한 국방 인공지능(AI) 체계 시험평가 방안 (Test and Evaluation Procedures of Defense AI System linked to the ROK Defense Acquisition System)

  • In this research, a new Test and Evaluation (T&E) procedure for defense AI systems is proposed to fill the existing gap in established methodologies. This proposed concept incorporates a data-based performance evaluation, allowing for independent assessment of AI model efficacy. It then follows with an on-site T&E using the actual AI system. The performance evaluation approach adopts the project promotion framework from the defense acquisition system, outlining 10 steps for R&D projects and 9 steps for procurement projects. This procedure was crafted after examining AI system testing standards and guidelines from both domestic and international civilian sectors. The validity of each step in the procedure was confirmed using real-world data. This study's findings aim to offer insightful guidance in defense T&E, particularly in developing robust T&E procedures for defense AI systems.

약학대학생들의 입학전형요소와 학업성취도의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (Relationship between Entrance Qualifications and Academic Performance of Pharmacy Students)

  • Background: A new admission procedure was introduced to Korea when Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) program was first established in 2011. In the new procedure, applicants are reviewed based on quantitative qualifications, which include Pharmacy Education Eligibility Test (PEET) scores, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) scores, and grade point average (GPA), as well as qualitative qualifications such as essay writing, extracurricular activities including volunteer experiences. Purpose: This study aimed to find relationships between entrance qualifications and academic performance of pharmacy students. Method: Entrance qualifications and academic performance of 164 first-year students were analyzed from 2011 to 2013 at Catholic University of Daegu. Other characteristics such as age and gender were also considered in the study. Results: Only GPA and TOEIC scores showed positive Pearson correlation with academic performance, while PEET scores did not. Conclusion: GPA and TOEIC scores could potentially have predictive validity for academic performance in pharmacy school. PEET scores, however, should simply be considered as pre-entrance qualifications, without predictive validity for academic performance.

On the Model Tests for POD Propulsion Ships

  • The procedures of model test and performance prediction for the CRP-POD propulsion ships, are studied. At the CRP-POD system, which are highly applicable to ultra large container carriers, RPM ratio of two propellers is not fixed, unlike conventional CRP system, and hence the power of each propeller must be predicted respectively. In this paper, a CRP-POD system is designed for 10,000 TEU class ultra large container carriers, and the characteristics of the CRP-POD system are experimentally studied. Finally, based on this study, the procedure of powering performance evaluation for CRP-POD propulsion ships is suggested. However, further studies on quantitative correction of the present procedure are required.

  • The green building is one of biggest factors to go the goal of energy saving and environmental conservation, reduction of energy consumption, friendly energy technology, recycling of resource, and environmental pollution reduction technology. The purpose of these green buildings realized by the energy-saving technology such as the exterior materials or curtain wall system. The curtain wall system is a element that come to insulated portions of building envelope that results in heat loss. The purpose of this paper is to carried out mock-up tests for exterior wall used in autoclaved lightweight concrete panels in green building practices. Mock-up test execute a mixed process between standard test procedure and complex test procedure based on AAMA 501(American Society for Testing and Materials) and ASTM 283, ASTM 330(American Society for Testing and Materials). In results, tests meet the requirements that grant values in steps of procedures provided on ASTM and AAMA. ALC panel is suitable for a exterior wall product to be gratified thermal cycling performance and structural capacity, deflection(H/200) and lateral displacement(H/50), for curtain walls.

유도무기 비행시험 시스템을 위한 모델 기반 운용절차의 설계 및 개선 (Model-Based Design and Enhancement of Operational Procedure for Guided Missile Flight Test System)

  • 비행시험 운용절차는 유도무기 비행시험 시스템 설계 및 구현을 위한 중요 산출물의 하나로서 비행시험 진행 단계별 임무계획, 수행방법, 안전대책 등을 포함한다. 유도무기체계 개발이 첨단화, 전략화 됨에 따라서 유도무기 비행시험은 점차 복잡화, 광역화 되고 있다. 이에 따라 시험안전을 확보하기 위해서는 비행시험 운용절차의 신뢰성 증대가 요구되었다. 특히, 새로운 개념의 비행시험 수행을 위해서 시험 전 불확실성을 예측하고 대비할 수 있도록 비행시험 운용절차 설계에서 M&S 기법의 적용을 통한 검증이 필요하게 되었다. 관련 연구로서 비행시험의 최적 프레임워크 개발 연구와 비행시험 프로세스 모델기반 개선 연구들이 발표되었지만, 상위 개념의 프로세스를 중심으로 한 결과로서 하위 수준의 비행시험 자원과 연동하는 비행시험 운용절차에 직접 적용하기에는 구체성이 부족하였다. 또한, 기존의 문서기반으로 구성된 비행시험 운용절차는 시험자원의 거동과 성능에 대한 분석능력의 한계로 시험자원의 중복과 누락, 직관적이지 않는 표현으로 운용자 간의 의사소통 저하, 그리고 다수의 비행시험에 적용하기 위한 확장성 부족 등의 문제가 발생하였다. 이를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 모델기반 시스템공학(MBSE) 기법의 적용을 통한 유도무기 비행시험 운용절차의 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 구체적으로 이전의 비행시험 정보를 기반으로 비행시험 진행 단계와 수행방안을 정의한 후, 요구사항으로부터 시험자원의 임무수행을 SysML 모델 기반으로 구성한 템플릿으로 제공하였다. 또한 시뮬레이션 분석을 통해서 정상상황과 비상상황에 대한 최적의 수행절차를 도출하였으며, 사례 적용을 통해서 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 시험자원의 거동과 성능에 대한 분석능력의 증대로 신뢰성이 향상되었고, 다수의 비행시험에 적용할 수 있는 확장성으로 효율성이 증대되었으며, 향후 개발 예정인 유도 무기 비행시험에도 지속적으로 활용할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we consider various international and local standards and applied ontology concepts which are used in Semantic Web, to make more structured test methods/procedure. Based on the ontology concept, we classify test method as three categories (i.e., conformance test, interoperability test and performance test), and make test structures for each category. We believe that this research provides test methods which reflect various standards as well as the guidelines for users to construct RFID device software more structurally.

Reynolds Number Dependence of Bearing Performance

  • Based on the full Navier-Stokes solutions, the thermohydrodynamic performance of a long journal bearing is investigated. A numerical method based on Galerkin's procedure and B-spline test functions has been presented for solving two-dimensional problems involving fluid flow and heat transfer. For numerical stability the artificial compressibility is employed to the conservation of mass. The discretized algebraic equations are solved by Newton's method. Effects of varying the speed of an inner cylinder to load carrying capacity are investigated. The results indicated that the increase of the speed of an inner cylinder has a significant effect on the temperature profile and ultimately on the performance.

다순환 여과시험에 의한 자동차용 연료필터의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of an Automotive Fuel Filter by Multi-Pass Filtration Test)

  • Filtration performance of an automotive fuel filter was evaluated based on the theory of Beta ratio. This study also introduced the fuel components' contamination performance test stand incorporating the multi-pass filtration test circuit. The theoretical basis of multi-pass test and test procedure were described in detail. The specification of commercial fuel filter currently available was just the maximum pressure drop across the filter assembly and the holding capacity of contaminants. However, test results revealed that the fuel filter tested could not maintain consistent Beta ratio, that is filtration efficiency, although it had the holding capacity close to the specification. Hence the Beta ratio should be specified in service life. The results also showed that filtration system model should be refined including desorption ratio to estimate the variable Beta ratio in the test.

자전거 탑승자 대상 자동비상제동장치의 성능평가 시나리오 (Safety Performance Evaluation Scenarios of Autonomous Emergency Braking System for Cyclist Collision)

  • This paper present a performance evaluation scenarios to assess the safety performance of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system for cyclist collision. To guarantee the safety performance of AEB for cyclist, AEB system should be tested in various scenarios which can be occurred in real driving condition. For this, real-traffic car-to-cyclist collision data are analyzed to classify the real traffic collision scenarios. Using this information, typical car-to-cyclist collision scenarios are selected. Also, in order to develop the detail features of these collision scenarios, several accident cases related with these scenarios are explained. Based on these information, test scenarios which can describe the car-to-cyclist collisions occurred in Korea are proposed. For practicality and feasibility of the test scenarios, proposed scenarios should be designed to assess the safety performance of AEB system effectively. For this, some test scenarios are combined or removed based on the consideration about the effectiveness of each scenario to the assessment of the performance of AEB system. To confirm that the proposed test scenarios are realistic and physically meaningful, simulation is conducted using simple AEB system in proposed test scenarios.
