  • Youth employment academy program focuses on resolving the job mismatch of youth unemployment through industry oriented human resource development for which company oriented capacity building program for graduate-to-be and graduate is supported. One of the major characteristics of this program is to use the M-to-M model with common skills for companies of same type of business. The operation organization in youth employment academy is supposed to be evaluated by the final employment rate after 1 year and 6 months since start of the program. So performance indicator for the operation organization was developed which means a kind of mid-term evaluation. In this research, the validity of the performance indicator is discussed. The correlations between the performance indicator and the performance evaluation, between the performance evaluation and the final employment rate, and between the performance indicator and the final employment rate are analyzed.

  • IEEE 802.11 PHY and MAC layer provide multiple channels and data rates. To improve the performance of IEEE 802.11 multi-radio ad hoc networks, it is required to utilize available channels and data rates efficiently. However, in IEEE 802.11 multi-rate networks, the rate anomaly (RA) problem occurs that the network performance is severely degraded as low-rate links affect high-rate links. Hence, in this paper, we propose a model-based rate separation (MRS) algorithm that uses multiple channels to separate different data rate links so that the RA problem is mitigated. MRS algorithm utilizes an existing throughput model that estimates the throughput of IEEE 802.11 single-hop networks to separate low-rate links and high-rate links. Through simulations, we demonstrate that the MRS algorithm shows improved network performance compared with existing algorithms in multi-radio ad hoc networks.

  • The IEEE 802.11 compliant stations can transmit at multiple transmission rates. Selection of an appropriate transmission rate plays a significant role in determining the overall efficiency of a communication system. The technique which determines the channel state information and accordingly selects an appropriate transmission rate is called rate-adaptation protocol. The IEEE 802.11 standard does not provide standard specification for implementing a rate-adaptation protocol for its multi-rate capable wireless stations. Due to the lack of standard specification, there is a myriad of rate-adaptation protocols, proposed by industry and various research institutes. This paper surveys the existing rate-adaptation schemes, discusses various features which contribute significantly in the process of rate-adaptation, the timing constraints on such schemes, and the performance gains in terms of throughput, delay and energy efficiency; which can be gained by the use of rate-adaptation. The paper also discusses the implication of rate-adaptation schemes on the performance of overall communication and identifies existing research challenges in the design of rate-adaptation schemes.

  • The purpose of this paper is to see what the problem is and what the direction of the strategy of asset management after this study has analyzed asset management status of domestic life insurance companies according to interest rate trends, analyzing in time series management asset lists, asset distribution state, and securities list of life insurance companies during 2000~2014. It has carried correlation analysis and regression analysis between yield and bond interest KOSPI index. As the study result, life insurance companies have managed assets in stability than profitability. The correlation coefficient between interest rate and performance rates of total asset, management asset and securities is highly plus, correlation of management asset performance rate is higher than that of total asset performance rate, and the correlation of securities performance rate is higher than that of management asset performance rate. The correlation coefficient of KOSPI and performance rate shows minus. The suggestion is that the change of asset management is required as the interest decline rises up a reverse margin risk because of the asset management of stability.

  • The estimated location coordinator exploration scheme and the E&E(Equivalent distance rate & Estimated location coordinator exploration) compensation algorithm for localization is proposed, and the performance of the E&E is analyzed in this paper. The proposed scheme is adapted to the AEDR(Algorithm for localization using the concept of Equivalent Distance Rate). From several experiments, it is confirmed that the performance of the localization compensation in SDS-TWR is improved from 0.60m to 0.34m in four experimental scenarios, and the performance of the localization compensation ratio of the E&E is also better than that of the AEDR as a level of maximum 15%. It can be thought that the proposed localization compensation algorithm E&E can be sufficiently applicable to various localization applications because the performance of the localization error rate of the E&E is measured as less than 1m in 99% of the total performance experiments.

  • Experimental results for performance characteristics of small $NH_3$ absorption chiller/ heater are presented. The apparatus consists of 7RT water-cooled absorption system, solution pump, boiler, cooling tower and peripheral devices. The effect of experimental parameters, such as refrigerant mass flow rate, solution mass flow rate and cooling water temperature have been investigated in view of the system performance. The capacity of each heat exchanger increased as refrigerant mass flow rate increased in cooling mode. Also, a cooling capacity increased as a strong solution mass flow rate increased. The cooling and heating COP show 0.5, 1.5 regardless of refrigerant mass flow rate, respectively. The results focus on the evaluation for performance characteristics of system with respect to variation of refrigerant mass flow rate under standard design conditions.

  • This paper considers a linear precoding scheme that achieves near optimal sum rate. While the minimum mean square error (MMSE) precoding provides the better MSE performance at all signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) than the zero forcing (ZF) precoding, its sum rate shows superior performance to ZF precoding at low SNR but inferior performance to ZF precoding at high SNR, From this observation, we first propose a near optimal linear precoding scheme in terms of sum rate. The resulting precoding scheme regularizes ZF precoding to maximize the sum rate, resulting in better sum rate performance than both ZF precoding and MMSE precoding at all SNR ranges. To find regularization parameters, we propose a simple algorithm such that locally maximal sum rate is achieved. As a low complexity alternative, we also propose a simple power re-allocation scheme in the conventional regularized channel inversion scheme. Finally, the proposed scheme is tested under the presence of channel estimation error. By simulation, we show that the proposed scheme can maintain the performance gain in the presence of channel estimation error and is robust to the channel estimation error.

  • The learning speed of the neural networks, the most important factor in applying to real problems, greatly depends on the learning rate of the networks, Three approaches-empirical, deterministic, and stochastic ones-have been proposed to date. We proposed a new learning-rate selection algorithm using an evolutionary programming search scheme. Even though the performance of our method showed better than those of the other methods, it was found that taking much time for selecting evolutionary learning rates made the performance of our method degrade. This was caused by using static intervals (called static windows) in order to update learning rates. Out algorithm with static windows updated the learning rates showed good performance or didn't update the learning rates even though previously updated learning rates shoved bad performance. This paper introduce a window control scheme to avoid such problems. With the window control scheme, our algorithm try to update the learning ra es only when the learning performance is continuously bad during a specified interval. If previously selected learning rates show good performance, new algorithm will not update the learning rates. This diminish the updating time of learning rates greatly. As a result, our algorithm with the window control scheme show better performance than that with static windows. In this paper, we will describe the previous and new algorithm and experimental results.

  • In order to investigate the performance of carbon dioxide PSA over zeolite adsorbent, the present study showed results of isotherm measurement, cyclic operation of 3-bed apparatus, and the corresponding numerical simulation. The experiment data of bed temperature, purity, recovery were matched well with that of numerical simulation. Purity of both gas and adsorbent phase increased rapidly with rinse rate but the degree of increase was retarded for large rinse rate The total amount of adsorbed increased only 10% even if rinse rate was enlarged to 4 times. Optimal rinse rate was 7N㎥/hr in this study. The heating rinse led to augments in recovery and productivity, possibly thanks to ease of description resulting from increased volumetric rinse rate and temperature rise in the column.
