The Korea government has been pursuing various policies to find a new industrial growth engine based on ICT (Industry and Communication Technology). However, ICT industry recently faces a serious crisis due to a lack of fundamental competitiveness and capital and technological gap with other countries. Accordingly, it is necessary for ICT industry to recognize the rapidly changing competitive business environment and to establish appropriate value-based strategies. This paper analyses factors affecting value-based strategy in the Korean ICT industry using 10 years data set. The result shows that the value-based strategy in the Korean ICT companies has a significant influence on their financial performance. In addition, it is confirmed that the competition level in the industry has a significant moderating effect on this relationship. In addition, when the companies are categorized based on performance, it is confirmed that there is a significant difference in competition level and value-based strategy in each categories. The results of this paper are expected to suggest implications for the effective use of balanced value-based strategies in the ICT industry.

The manufacturing industry is the one with the most frequent industrial disasters, and it is important to study the safety climate recognized by workers in the industry in order to actively prevent industrial accidents. However, little research has been performed on the safety climate in workplaces felt by the workers in the manufacturing industry. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting work environment safeness based on practical analysis via survey, and to establish the relation between safety performance factors and safeness of work environment. The survey was performed for workers in the manufacturing industry(n=228), and structural equations model analysis by using the AMOS 7.0 was performed in order to identify the fit of the research model and the causation among factors. According to the results of the analysis, the reliability and the model fit were appropriate for interpretation, and safety participation was shown to affect safeness of work environment more than safety compliance. The results of this study may serve as the reference for taking a measure to improve the level of safeness of the work environment felt by workers in the manufacturing industry.

The growth of the Exhibition Design Industry has been exponential both internationally and domestically since the composition and fusion of Artistic Culture and information. Since the introduction of various Display Techniques, such as, augmented reality, Virtual Reality, and 3D interactive applications, the Exhibition Display Industry has seen innovative development. Furthermore, this has transpired a new wave of change and globalization in social network and thru creative Exhibition Design this has become a turning point in the Exhibition Design Industry. The aim of this research is to find Influencing factors of domestic Exhibition Design Industry members. These factors thru self-efficacy and job satisfaction will study objectively to find what influences duty result and help members of Exhibition Design Industries to work comfortably and to increase productivity we are proposing effective and efficient development methods. To do this, we are suggesting a research model applied on variables of the mindfulness theory which is based on the emphasized unconsciousness which represents the existence of the mind. To objectively verify this research model, we have conducted surveys on Exhibition Design Industry workers and a Material Designer in Seoul.

Generally, it is known that the agglomeration economies appear in some industry clusters which were developed naturally. But, in Korea, most of industry clusters were built by government. This research was carried out to evaluate the performance of governments zoning investment, in other words, industry cluster policy. In this research, we use the data of manufacturing firms in Kyunggi-province. For the microeconomic analysis, we use the KIS-VALUE data of 2008. As the empirical test methods we use both multiple regressions and Propensity Score Matching. In conclusion, there is no evidences that firms in industry cluster have better performances. Surprisingly, in PSM analysis, we find the evidence that firms in industry cluster show less innovative performance.

With the current global financial crisis, Korea's economic situation involves a great deal of uncertainty. As the construction industry in Korea has traditionally been one of the country's strongest engines of economic development, it is crucial to understand its current status when establishing government policy or corporate goals. Utilizing a variety of statistical data related to construction that has been published in Korea, this study analyzes the current status and performance of the industry in terms of technological development. Although it was found that the construction industry in Korea is currently unstable due to the influence of the global financial crisis, it is now expected to recover quickly thanks to the increase in the number of construction contracts in foreign countries. In addition, when the performance of national research and development is realized, it is expected that new construction technologies will contribute to the recovery of the Korean construction industry. Despite the benefits of construction contracts in foreign countries, there are harmful practices in the industry that need to be addressed, including the excessively fierce competition among domestic construction companies.

First, an exhibitions participation activation has an effect re-participation following the satisfaction. Second, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to be on sale promotion, The result of the exhibitions participation is classified with sale performance and non-sale performance. The third, an exhibitions participation activation contributes to the effective company management. The huge fund advertisement is a financial burden, but a exhibitions takes effect one-fifth economical retrenchment. Accordingly, this study researched the exhibition participation choice properties, an exhibitions participation activation properties and investigated the Korea defence industry's income statement, balance sheet, growth ratios, profitability ratios, productivity ratios, stability ratios which were substitute for the enterprise's management performance through the exhibitions participation costs and the number of times.

Despite many theoretical and empirical studies, general causality between IPRs system, firm technological innovation and financial performance is not clear. This study notices that the core factor to create financial performance is different by each industry. The study analyzed the effect of IPRs system on innovation and economic growth targeting 3 industries; pharmaceutical industry to which the basic track of creating performance is applied (strengthening IPRs${\rightarrow}$increasing R&D input/output${\rightarrow}$increasing sales); semiconductor industry where the relationship between stronger IPRs and R&D input/output is weak; and shipbuilding industry which has weak correlation between R&D and sales. It used panel data for 15 years since TRIPs when the patent institution in Korea reached up to the level of advanced countries, and applied the dynamic regression model which estimates the fixed effect model with difference-GMM. As a result, stronger IPRs increased R&D input/output, and financial performance in pharmaceutical industry, but has no influence on semiconductor and shipbuilding industries. That is, it is necessary to customize the construction of system and policy for strengthening IPRs by each industry, and unitary strengthening or weakening may have no significant impact on financial performance improvement in specific sectors.

This paper analyzes the effects of government support systems, regulation, and innovation promotion policy on technological innovation performance of companies in the service industry using 4,000 Korean service industry companies. Multiple and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the correlation between the individual factors and process innovation and product innovation. Government support, regulation and technology innovation in the service industry were tested. In addition, government innovation promotion policy includes government support and regulation and the technological innovation performance of service firms. As a result, the government support system affects both the process innovation and the product innovation performance in the service industry, but affects only the process innovation performance in the case of regulation. Innovation promotion policy was found to regulate the relationship between government support systems and regulation and innovation performance of the service industry. Therefore, these findings provide strategic implications for the management of enterprises in relation to government support systems and innovation policy. It is necessary to reorganize regulations that are outdated to improve the effect of innovation policies on innovation performance.

Two-wheeled driying mobild robots are precise controlled in terms of linear contol methods without considering the nonlinear dynamical characteristics. However, in the high maneuvering situations such as fast turn and abrupt start and stop, such neglected terms become dominant and heavy influence the overall driving performance. This study describes the nonlinear optimal control method to take advantage of the exact nonlinear dynamics of the balancing robot. Simulation results indicate that the optimal control outperforms in the respect of transient performance and required wheel torques. A design example is suggested for the state matrix that provides design flexibility in the control. It is shown that a well-planned state matrix by reflecting the physics of a balancing robot greatly conrtibutes to the driving performance and stability.
