Depression is one of the most common psychologic disorder and dealt as a major public health concern. School students have heavy school work loads and stress from various evaluations representing school performance. In this study, to examine the effect of school performance and stress on depressive symptoms, we assessed the frequency of risk factors for depressive symptoms among 2,717 high school students. From April 2001 to May 2001, using a self-reported questionnaire, we collected data on the frequency of occurrence of depressive symptoms and potential risk factors for depressive symptoms. Depressive symptoms were measured using Center Epidemiologlc Studies Depression (DES-D) index. Thirty-seven percent of high school students reported having high depressive symptoms for a week Female students had a higher prevalence of depressive symptoms than males (OR=1.44, 95% CI 1.22-1.70). In a multiple logistic regression model, we found that good perceived school performance (OR=0.43, 95% CI 0.31-0.60) had a negative association with depressive symptoms. On the contrary, we also found that stress from school performance (OR=2.03, 95% CI 1.69-2.44) associated with high depressive symptoms. In conclusion, high school students had a relatively high prevalence of depressive symptoms. Students with stress from school performance had the higher risk for depressive symptoms.

To investigate the performance of apartment buildings which were built in the 1990s and which have RC bearing wall systems with coupling beams, construction drawings of 13 buildings were collected and analyzed. To evaluate the seismic performance, FEMA 356 and FEMA 440 were selected as guidelines. For the demand curve, the seismic design spectrum in KBC 2009 is used. For each building, the performance points for life safety and the collapse prevention state are calculated. It was found that 9 out of 13 buildings (about 70%) showed damage more severe than the collapse prevention level at the performance point and more damage could be seen at the coupling beams than the walls. However, the story drift limit of FEMA 356 was satisfied for all buildings. Through the analysis of performance points, it was shown that the spectral acceleration has an inverse relationship with the natural period.
This paper provides a case for the comprehensive performance management system in Public Procurement Service. Public Procurement Service set up the BSC system at the beginning of 2006 by improving and complementing the earliest performance management system and made it possible to automatically connet the performance measurement and evaluation of the departmental and person by using CSF and KPI, which result from their mission and strategic assignments. Therefore, the public service of the adminstration is able to offer better customer service, as the private corporations do, apply the incentive and disincentive policies to the personnel and reward administration and contribute to changing the administration into an organization of competition and performance compensation. The application of the BSC system enables the strengthening of the individual evaluation system in the departmental, integration of various evaluations into one, and the establishment of a monitering system of achievement rate in the objective management in the periodic results. Such a case study of Public Procurement Service will determine the course of establishment of the BSC in other public institutions and suggest many successful methods and ideas for the performance management system.

Purpose: Some of the most representative approaches are to apply next generation technologies to save energy consumption, fully automated control system to appropriately maintain environmental conditions, and autonomous assistance system to reduce labor load and ensure operator's safety. Nevertheless, improvement of upcoming method for soil cultured greenhouse has not been sufficiently achieved. Geometrical complexity of ground in protected crop cultivation might be one of the most dominant factors in design of autonomous vehicle. While there is a practical solution fairly enough to promise an accurate travelling, such as autonomous sprayer guided by rail or induction coil, for various reasons including the limitation of producer's budget, the previously developed sprayer has not been widely distributed to market. Methods: In this study, we developed an autonomous sprayer considering travelling performance on geometrical complexity of ground in soil cultured greenhouse. To maintain a stable travelling and to acquire a real time feedback, common wire with 80 mm thick and body frame and sprayer boom. To evaluate performance of the prototype, tracking performance, climbing performance and spraying boom's uniform leveling performance were individually evaluated by corresponding experimental tests. Results: The autonomous guidance system was proved to be sufficiently suitable for accurate linear traveling with RMS as lower than approximately 10 cm from designated path. Also the prototype could climb $10^{\circ}$ of ground's slope angle with 40 kg of water weight. Uniform leveling of spraying boom was successfully performed within $0.5^{\circ}$ of sprayer boom's slope. Conclusions: Considering more complex pathways and coarse ground conditions, evaluations and improvements of the prototype should be performed for promising reliability to commercialization.
PURPOSES: The liquid-type chemical warm-mix asphalt (WMA) additive has been developed. This study evaluates the basic properties of the additive and the mechanical properties of WMA asphalt and mixture manufactured by using the newly developed chemical additive. METHODS: First, the newly developed WMA additive was applied to the original asphalt by various composition of additive components and dosage ratio of additive. These WMA asphalt binders were evaluated in terms of penetration, softening point, rotational viscosity, and PG grade. Based on the binder test results, one best candidate was chosen to apply to the mixture and then the mechanical properties of WMA mixture were evaluated for moisture susceptibility, dynamic modulus, and rutting and fatigue resistance. RESULTS : According to the binder test, WMA asphalt binders showed the similar properties to the original asphalt binder except the penetraion index of WMA additive was a little higher than original binder. From the Superpave mix design, the optimum asphalt content and volumetric properties of WMA mixture were almost the same with those of hot mix asphalt (HMA) mixture even though the production and compaction temperatures were $30^{\circ}C$ lower for the WMA mixture. From the first set of performance evaluation, it was found that the WMA mixture would have some problem in moisture susceptibility. The additive was modified to improve the resistance to moisture and the second set of performance evaluation showed that the WMA mixture with modified chemical additive would have the similar performance to HMA mixture. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the various laboratory tests, it was concluded that the newly developed chemical WMA additve could be successfully used to produce the WMA mixture with the comparable performance to the HMA mixture. These laboratory evaluations should be confirmed by applying this additive to the field and monitoring the long-term performance of the pavement, which are scheduled in the near future.
In the present study, composite insulation mat was reinforced over polyurethane foam (PUF) to improve the thermal performance and impact resistance of the PUF applied to the liquefied natural gas carrier insulation system. The composite insulation mat used Kevlar, aerogel, and cryogel composite mat that can be applied in a cryogenic environment. The thermal conductivity was measured at $20^{\circ}C$ to investigate the thermal performance, and the drop impact test was carried out under impact energy of 30 J at $20^{\circ}C$, $-163^{\circ}C$ to investigate the impact resistance. The measured thermal performance was compared with neat PUF through effective thermal conductivity theoretical value. The shock resistance was evaluated of contact force, contact time, and absorb energy. In experimental results, cryogel composite mat was the best performance in terms of thermal performance, and aerogel composite mat was the best performance in terms of impact resistance.

The sodium-cooled fast reactor is among the innovative nuclear technologies selected in the framework of the development of Generation IV concepts, allowing the irradiation of uranium-plutonium mixed oxide fuels (MOX). A fundamental step for the safety assessment of MOX-fuelled pins for fast reactor applications is the evaluation, by means of fuel performance codes, of the integral thermal-mechanical behaviour under irradiation, involving the fission gas behaviour and release in the fuel-cladding gap. This work is dedicated to the performance analysis of an inner-core fuel pin representative of the ASTRID sodium-cooled concept design, selected as case study for the benchmark between the GERMINAL and TRANSURANUS fuel performance codes. The focus is on fission gas-related mechanisms and integral outcomes as predicted by means of the SCIANTIX module (allowing the physics-based treatment of inert gas behaviour and release) coupled to both fuel performance codes. The benchmark activity involves the application of both GERMINAL and TRANSURANUS in their "pre-INSPYRE" versions, i.e., adopting the state-of-the-art recommended correlations available in the codes, compared with the "post-INSPYRE" code results, obtained by implementing novel models for MOX fuel properties and phenomena (SCIANTIX included) developed in the framework of the INSPYRE H2020 Project. The SCIANTIX modelling includes the consideration of burst releases of the fission gas stored at the grain boundaries occurring during power transients of shutdown and start-up, whose effect on a fast reactor fuel concept is analysed. A clear need to further extend and validate the SCIANTIX module for application to fast reactor MOX emerges from this work; nevertheless, the GERMINAL-TRANSURANUS benchmark on the ASTRID case study highlights the achieved code capabilities for fast reactor conditions and paves the way towards the proper application of fuel performance codes to safety evaluations on Generation IV reactor concepts.

This paper describes the whole development phase for the underwater vehicle actuating system with high hydroload torque disturbance. This includes requirement analysis, system modeling, control algorithm design, real time implementation, test and performance evaluations. As for driving control algorithms, fuzzy logic, variable structure and PD(Proportional-Differential) algorithm were designed and implemented on board controller using a single chip microprocessor. Intel 8797. And test and performance evaluation is carried out both single test and wystem integration test. We could confirm the basic performance of actuating system through the single test and gereral developing work of any actuating systems was finished with a single performance test of actuating system without system integration test. But, we suggested that system integration test be needed. System integration test is carried out using G/C HILS(Guidance and Control Hardware-In-the -Loop Simulation) which is constituted flight motion simulator, load simulator, real time host computer and the related subsystems such as inertial navigation system, power supply system and Guidance and Control Computer etc.. The most important practical contribution of this paper is that full system characteristics such as minimal control effort, enhancement of guidance and autopilot performance by the actuating system using G/C HILS technique are investigated. Through full running G/C HILS, in spite of the passing to single tests, some control algorithm resulted in failure as to stability of full system and system time frame.
PURPOSE. Zirconia has been used in clinical dentistry for approximately a decade, and there have been several reports regarding the clinical performance and survival rates of zirconia-based restorations. The aim of this article was to review the literatures published from 2000 to 2010 regarding the clinical performance and the causes of failure of zirconia fixed partial dentures (FPDs). MATERIALS AND METHODS. An electronic search of English peer-reviewed dental literatures was performed through PubMed to obtain all the clinical studies focused on the performance of the zirconia FPDs. The electronic search was supplemented by manual searching through the references of the selected articles for possible inclusion of some articles. Randomized controlled clinical trials, longitudinal prospective and retrospective cohort studies were the focuses of this review. Articles that did not focus on the restoration of teeth using zirconia-based restorations were excluded from this review. RESULTS. There have been three studies for the study of zirconia single crowns. The clinical outcome was satisfactory (acceptable) according to the CDA evaluation. There have been 14 studies for the study of zirconia FPDs. The survival rates of zirconia anterior and posterior FPDs ranged between 73.9% - 100% after 2 - 5 years. The causes of failure were veneer fracture, ceramic core fracture, abutment tooth fracture, secondary caries, and restoration dislodgment. CONCLUSION. The overall performance of zirconia FPDs was satisfactory according to either USPHS criteria or CDA evaluations. Fracture resistance of core and veneering ceramics, bonding between core and veneering materials, and marginal discrepancy of zirconia-based restorations were discussed as the causes of failure. Because of its repeated occurrence in many studies, future researches are essentially required to clarify this problem and to reduce the fracture incident.
The request scheduling algorithms being used for the cluster web servers are mostly in two categories : load-balancing and contents-based cache affinity The goal of the load-balancing algorithms is to balance the loads between real servers. On the other hand, contents-based scheduling algorithm exploits the cache affinity in a way that the same type of requests are to be directed to a dedicated real server allowing load imbalance. So the performance comparison of the two algorithms is necessary, nevertheless the related experiment results are not much suggested. In this paper, performance evaluations have been done to compare the performance of the two scheduling algorithms. To accomplish this, we first implement a linux cluster web server, and then present the performance measurement results. The main contribution of this paper is to help the cluster web server administrators to select an algorithm fitting in with their circumstances from the two algorithms.
