  • The purpose of this study is to measure the trust and distrust perception of our society about science and technology. In addition to examining trust and distrust in science and technology, we also looked at trust and distrust in geoscience technology. In addition, by comparing the levels of trust and distrust in science and technology and geological resource technology, the implications for improving the reliability of geological resource technology are drawn. This study surveyed male and female office workers over 20 years of age working in the Seoul metropolitan area on the trust and distrust of science and technology. The results of this study show that respondents showed above-average trust in science and technology and geological resource technology. According to the gender or age of respondents, there was no difference in trust and distrust of science and technology and geological resource technology. As a result of examining the difference between trust and distrust in science and technology and geological resource technology, respondents showed higher trust scores in science and technology than geological resource technology. These results suggest that current communications activities on geological resources should be more active and diversified.

The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the work connection at office lowered the right to disconnect. Second, the deeper IT hyper-connected environment, the higher the right to disconnect. Third, it was found that the work connection at home raises the right to disconnect. Fourth, it was found that the right to disconnect increases job satisfaction to a certain extent, but lowers job satisfaction when it exceeds the appropriate line. Fifth, in the case of men, the effect of the right to disconnect on job satisfaction has sharply increased and sharply reduced. On the other hand, in women, it gradually increased and then decreased slowly. Considering the results of these studies, organizations need to check the current status and appropriate level of the work connection at home for organizational performance management. Organizations need to formulate organizational management measures that take into account the positive and negative functions of the right to disconnect. And organizations need to come up with management measures that take gender into account.

  • This study analyzes the perception survey of the general public on the problems of a neologism(new words), which are frequently used in media media, and derives improvement measures and implications based on the data. In general, it can be seen that the creed is exposed and used indiscriminately through media, and those in their 20s and 30s are positive for the use of new words and those in their 50s and 60s are relatively negative. The biggest problem is that excessive use of creed can cause conflict and alienation between generations, and the need for correct Korean use is recognized overall as it can enhance Hangeul destruction and inappropriate social awareness. However, media outlets often use new words in a positive way to induce interest and enrich content by using them in the right place for the latest trends, such as small but certain happiness. As an alternative to this problem, self-purification of media workers is the most important, and it is recommended to encourage proper use of Korean through media literacy education and campaigns.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relation between working conditions and occupational injuries among Korean employees. This study was based on the 4th Korean Working Conditions Survey(KWCS) and a total of 36,292 data were analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression was used to investigate the relation of working conditions and occupational injuries after controlling for individual variables. After control of personal factors, perception of the threat to health or safety(OR=3.77, 95% CI=2.934-4.844), 49-59 working hours(OR=1.63, 95% CI=1.023-2.601), 60 hours or more per week(OR=2.66, 95% CI=1.683-4.197), and manual occupation type(OR=1.76, 95% CI=1.218-2.536) were associated with occupational injuries. Our results indicate that working conditions influence occupational injuries, and the focus should be on prevention and management strategies for occupational injuries to vulnerable workers.
