The data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0, and the Independent t-test was used to compare the sensory processing and visual perception skills of the two groups. Results : The study found differences in the Sensory Profile summary scores and factor summary scores between the two groups (p<.05). We also found differences in the visual perception index and subtest standard scores between the two groups (p<.05). Conclusion : The results of this study show that the experimental and the control groups had significant differences in sensory processing and visual perception skills. The result will contribute to the assessment and education of children with ADHD.

  • This study explores the effects of various factors on the use of nutrition information on food away from home (FAFH). Consumer groups were classified into groups according to their perception of being overweight and obese (correctly perceiving, underestimating and overestimating weight). For this, frequency analysis, a chi-square test, and an ANOVA were conducted to determine any differences between factors, and a logit analysis (SPSS 18.0) was conducted to identify those factors influencing the use of information. Information recognition, intentions to use information and the use on FAFH showed significant differences across the groups. In addition, health inspection, the perception of the intrinsic quality of restaurants, labeling, FAFH expenditure, and some individual characteristics showed significant differences between groups. The information recognition of FAFH had a significant positive effect on information use in all groups. In all groups, labeling had a significant positive effect on information use, and family health concerns had a significant positive effect on information use in the group correctly perceiving weight. The price of domestic food items, household head and household income had significant positive effects on information use in the group overestimating weight.

Results: There were significant differences (t=9.44, p<.001) between the perception of nurses ($8.18{\pm}2.00$) and patients ($5.49{\pm}2.95$) on the communication skills used by nurses. Most nurses ($3.87{\pm}0.39$) perceived that the communication skills were effective, but more patients ($4.13{\pm}0.62$) reported significantly higher scores (t=-4.34, p<.001). Conclusion: The results implied that nurses need to make sure that their communication skills are effective when they communicate with patients, and education programs for nurses to develop the advanced communication skills would be necessary.

  • This study focuses on the differences in family values, which is a cause of family dissolution and conflicts of marriage immigrant women. This study was conducted on 441 women in Vietnam. It was done to explore their family values. Specifically, the following were examined: the overall family values and martial status of Vietnamese women; differences in their family values by region (northern, central, southern). The survey questionnaire consists of the following content: 'family perception'; 'gender-role values'; 'elderly parent support value'. The characteristics of family values of Vietnamese women are as follows. First, the scope of family perceived by them was relatively narrow. In particular, most of them didn't perceive the parents of a spouse as a familymember. Second, in terms of gender-roles, they perceived men and women as equal and didn't have strong perception of traditional gender roles. Third, they felt strongly about supporting elderly parents. The perception of supporting elderly parents is based on equal gender roles, instead of the paternalistic approach. They preferred financial support to living with parents. There were also differences in family values by region. Also, their values seemed to be the opposite of the ones well-known by region. In addition, their values were changing amid economic growth and modernization. Residents in Can Tho in the south - known to have open-minded Southeast Asian values - had the most patrilineal, traditional values with strong perception towards supporting elderly parents. Residents in Hanoi in the north - known to have heavy influence of Confucian culture - had non-traditional values with positive attitude towards liberal sex culture, divorce, and remarriage. Residents in Da Nang, a central region, had a mixture of northern and southern characteristics in terms of family values.

  • Niveteen stimulus photographs varied in hue and color scheme of one clothing style of Korean dress worn by a female were used to explore the differences in perceptive effect of clothing cues(color, color scheme, structure) on impression formation and graduate students. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, factor score, ANOVA and Scheffe-test. Results indicate perceptive effects of clothing cues on impression formation are influenced by gender-differences and major-difference of perceivers. Significant gender differences were found in perception of clothing cues on impression effect. Interaction effects were found between clothing cues and gender. Significant major differences were found in perception of clothing cues on impression effect. Interaction effects were found between clothing cues and perceiver's major. Female perceivers and perceivers of major-ing in Liberal Arts reacted to clothing cues on impression formation with greater sensitivity than male perceivers and perceivers of majoring in Natural Sciences. Frequent interaction effects between gender and color of China (cool-warm color), between major difference and color scheme(related color harmony-contrasting color harmony) appeared on factors of impression effect. The influence of perceiver variables on their perception of clothing cues for impression effcet has important implications for gender difference and perceiver's maforing backgroung in a social situation.
