Energy environment has been changing rapidly such as the fluctuation of oil prices and the effect on UNFCCC. Oil price change affects Korea's economy heavily due to her poor natural resources and large dependence of consumed energy resources. Korea takes the 4th place of importing the crude oil and 9th place in $CO_2$ emissions with the 1st place of $CO_2$ emissions increasing rate. Considering the current statue of Korea including oil price change and UNFCCC, Korea will be expected to be the Annex I nation due to Korean energy environments and the quantity of $CO_2$ emission. Energy technology development is a crucial key to cope with Korea's national energy security and environments. In this study, we establish the framework, which allocates the relative weights of assessment criteria and sub-criteria, for assessing and selecting R&D programs of energy technologies strategically. We integrated fuzzy theory and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) approach since the fuzzy AHP approach reflects the vagueness of human thoughts and perception effectively as making pairwise comparisons of criteria and alternatives. The fundamental data of this research results will support R&D planning phase for policy-makers and the production of well focused R&D outcomes.

Two legal issues of the game industry in Korea are intersted in theses days. Open market & Shut-down. This article is studying for the impacts and the meaning of the game market that the institutionalization of two legal issue produce a powerful effect on. Social environment & recognition bring up the subject. This article is focusing at social environment & recognition and the forecasting game market. With the coming of smart-phone, the mobile contents market is changed. The open market for game is the issue for this changing market and assists the activation of the mobile-market with rational and futuristic perspectives. Shut-down(prohibition of the access of the young people in midnight) is the issue for game addiction and aggravates the game market and the perception on game with the focusing of the happening. This article points out the importance of institutionalization in consequence of the opposite direction of the market effects.

This article was written with two purposes in mind. The first purpose was to introduce clothing and textile community who may not be familiar with Multidimensional Scaling(MDS) with usefulness of the new technique in the area of fashion merchandising. The second purpose was to present the results of an empirical study on brand image utilizing MDS and its related technique as the main analysis tools. The main objective of the empirical study was to gain a better understanding of consumer's brand image by relating differences in perception and attributes of clothing in women's ready-to wear market. For this empirical study, the ten brands and the fifteen attributes of clothing were chosen. The questionnaire consisting of questions asking about the similarity and attributes of clothing between selected brands was administrated to 185 career women during summer in 1989. Data were analyzed cluster analysis, and KYST and PROFIT in MDS program. The results were as follows: 1. The similarities data for the ten selected brand by using KYST program of MDS drawed the perceptual map. The results of this perceptual map showed that the selected brand were grouped into three clusters. 2. In order to get a somewhat objective view of which attributes consumers are attributing to each brand, PROFIT program was used. As a result, it was revealed that assortment depth / width, price, youth-oriented style, possibility of various social activity were significant attributes in consumer's brand choice rather than physical attributes of clothing such as quality or durability. This may imply that consumer orientation in rapidly changing environments of women's apparel market was its basic idea, and the focus of all fashion merchandising activities was put on need's and the response of consumer group who are the object of the target. Implicating for future research as well as for strategy of brand positioning were also suggested.

The purpose of this study is to mate a basic foundation for the discourse of Koreanness of contemporary Korean landscape architecture by way of searching the conceptual definitions of Koreanness through analysis of Koreanness discourses. The results are that discourses of Koreanness are to be classified in aesthetics type, spatial-temporal type, and cultural type. Aesthetics type is understood as style in terms of formal and design representation planning principles of spatial composition and immanence in terms of philosophy. Spatial-temporal type is understood as contemporaneity. This is classified as the concept of connoting of tradition, and separating and keeping a distance from tradition. Cultural type is prescribed as cultural identity. This is classified as unity, generality and individuality. The intension of Koreanness of these types is represented as an aspect changing and shifting from one regulation to another regulation. First, in the concerns of substantial archetypes like Korean original form, decorative element, spatial composition aesthetic perception and philosophy, Koreanness shifts to the point of view of contemporaniety which is created and defined in history. Second, Koreanness as contemporaniety shows a trend of shifting the point of view which is to be found through the reconsideration on modem history and modernism. Third, Koreanness defined as cultural identity shows a trend to emphasize the differences in other cultures and includes all the modem cultural agents. The number of views understood as individuality and denial are small but provide important points. Programmatic definition of Koreanness is not suitable. This basic study uses a stipulative or operational definition of Koreanness in many ways such as spatial and regional identity. Koreanness study for Korean contemporary landscape architecture requires a systematic understanding of modernity and colonization relating to identity. Also, it is needed to elaborate on the discourse to divide the meaning of a concept of identity.

This study has been conducted for the purpose of elucidating the factors that are affecting the job performances and how this factors have affected the satisfactory of medical record technicians working at general hospitals in south Korea. This study had 428 participants from 60 general hospitals, located in Seoul and 4 different metropolitan cities such as Incheon, Daegu, Gwangju and Daejeon. This study was performed through using the standardized self-administered questionnaires As a result, the job satisfaction had a significant relationship with the participants monthly income, age, position of the job, BMI, satisfactory in performances, consideration of changing the career, having a breakfast regular exercises, and having a perception on socioeconomic status of oneself. Particularly, the hierarchical multiple regression analysis had shown that possessing the appropriate characteristics that are required in that field of career had a high correlation with the job satisfactory. In the future, this study suggests that need of appropriate interventions of work-related characteristics are required in order to improve the job satisfaction of medical record technicians.

As the need for entrepreneurship to create new values and innovate in the rapidly changing social environment is emerging, education for entrepreneurial is emerging in university education. The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of entrepreneurship education and to derive the priority of education based on actual indicators of importance-performance. For this study, we surveyed 227 female college students in E Woman's University by using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method for entrepreneurship factors. The result showed that the means of importance of all factors and sub-factors of entrepreneurship were higher than the means of performance of them, and the difference was statistically significant except for the determination. In addition, the results of the IPA matrix analysis showed that the factors that needed urgent improvement in self-confidence, future-orientation, active/innovative activities, and proactivity. Based on the results of this study, the implications of the development of entrepreneurship curriculum for college students in engineering field were discussed. This study is meaningful that it provided practical basic information of curriculum design leading to the manifestation of entrepreneurship of women in engineering field by analyzing entrepreneurship of female engineering students and deriving priority factors of educational treatment.

This study intended to present a new direction of differentiated and innovative furniture design for small living space overcoming the uniformity of conventional small living. In order to achieve these goals, a new piece of furniture with multi functions useful for such small space has been designed and explained in this study. This new type multi-functional furniture can be utilized as kitchen, dining table, home bar or office stand depending on the user's necessity. In particular, it provides more adaptability to changing life and spatial availabilities for small living space in terms of space division, separation and fusion features. Based on the needs of small living space brought by social changes, the conventional concept of small living space, which divides space by partitions or walls, should be changed into flexible perception of space. Also, this research proposed the features of furniture design for functional shifts in terms of its functional, structural, and systematical aspects. In this respect, space can be regarded as a variable place and the image of space can be differently appreciated by means of shift, functional transition and mobility. That is, small living space can be perceived as kitchen, living space or working space at the same time. In conclusion, the versatile use of limited space can be a solution to the issues related to small living space; the convertible and movable furniture called F4 Island presented in this study can transform such spatially limited space into a space with multiple functions to meet the requirements of its residents.

This study was designed to examine the effect of depressive mood on identification of emotional facial expression. Participants were screened out of 305 college students on the basis of the BDI-II score. Students with BDI-II score higher than 14(upper 20%) were selected for the Depression Group and those with BDI-II score lower than 5(lower 20%) were selected for the Control Group. A final sample of 20 students in the Depression Group and 20 in the Control Group were presented with facial expression stimuli of an increasing degree of emotional intensity, slowly changing from a neutral to a full intensity of happy, sad, angry, or fearful expressions. The result showed that there was the significant interaction of Group by Emotion(esp. happy and sad) which suggested that depressive mood affects processing of emotional stimuli such as facial expressions. Implication of this result for mood-congruent information processing were discussed.

The study focuses on what to consider and do for the improvement of math education of Korean Universities by comparing freshmen and seniors of department of math education in their beliefs in mathematics and math. education. The major comparing topics in the beliefs are composed of perception of mathematics as a science, learning methods of mathematics, teaching methods of mathematics, and roles and qualifications of math. teachers. The results of the study show that junior students tend to be more positive in their beliefs, especially in math education area than that of mathematics, compared to the freshmen. It implies that how important the role of topics covered in math education during college years is for changing the future teachers' beliefs in math and math education more positively. The supposed influencing contents of the curriculum of math. education are composed of learning reflection method based on problem-based learning, understanding mathematics as originated from the real world, mathematical pedagogy, text analysis, practice in classroom, and understanding various concepts in math. education area.

Sorghum seedlings lacking one of the phytochromes, phyB, have elongated internode, suggesting that they may have an alteration in gibberellin physiology. To test the possibility that phyB mutations affect seedling gibberellin perception and metabolism, the responsiveness of wild-type and phyB-1 seedlings to exogenous $GA_3$ was investigated. The phyB-1 showed higher internode elongation rate than the wild type in response to lower concentrations of exogenous $GA_3$ application, showing that the mutation causes an increase in responsiveness to GA. However, at the higher concentrations of $GA_3$ application, phyB-l and wild-type showed similar elongation rate, impling that responsiveness to higher concentrations of GA is not controlled by phytochrome. These results suggest that, although GAs are required for internode elongation, phyB does not act primarily by changing absolute levels of GAs but rather by decreasing seedling responsiveness to GAs at lower concentrations.
