Purpose: With low birth rates and aging population problems in Korea, the number of foreign workers grows rapidly. The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing physical activity of foreign workers based on a Health Promotion Model by examining relationships between acculturation, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, exercise self-efficacy, activity-related affect, social support, and physical activity. Methods: The participants were foreign workers aged 18 to 60 who were employed at eight shipyards. A questionnaire was distributed to 216 participants. Results: As a result of the multivariate ordinal logistic regression analysis, factors affecting physical activity of foreign workers were perceived benefits (B=.65, 95% CI=0.08~1.22), exercise self-efficacy (B=.16, 95% CI=0.05~0.26), integration (B=.41 95% CI=0.14~0.69), and social support for physical activity (B=.48, 95% CI=0.12~0.83). The total explanatory power was 17.7% (x2=41.95, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on these results, there is a need to develop a customized program to increase physical activities of foreign workers by enhancing integration, perceived benefits, exercise self-efficacy and social support.

One of the impacts of Covid-19 on education systems has been the shift to online education. This shift has changed the way education is consumed and perceived by students. However, the exact nature of student perception about online education is not known. The aim of this study was to understand the perceptions of Saudi higher education students (e.g., post-school students) about online education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Various aspects of online education including benefits, features and cybersecurity were explored. The data collected were analysed using statistical techniques, especially artificial neural networks, to address the research aims. The key findings were that benefits of online education was perceived by students with positive experience or when ensured of safe use of online platforms without the fear cyber security breaches for which recruitment of a cyber security officer was an important predictor. The issue of whether perception of online education as a necessity only for Covid situation or a lasting option beyond the pandemic is a topic for future research.
The purose of this study was to investigate the effect of clothing image, benefit sought, perceived risk, demographic and consumer's characteristics on the Purchase Intention of Saenghwal-Hanbok. The questionnaire was administered to 227 women in Seoul Data were analysed by factor analysis, correlation and multipleregression. The resets of this study were as follows: 1. The clothing images of Saenghwal-Hanbok were composed of dignified, comfortable, conservative and innovative dimensions. The benefits sought of Saenghwal-Hanbok were identified to traditional aethetics, contemporary aethetics, comfortability The perceived risk of Saenghwal-Hanbok was the only risk on the negative viewpoint of others. 2. The images of Saenghwal-Hanbok with the exception of innovative image have influenced on the benefit sought and the perceived risk of Saenghwal-Hanbok. 3. The positive effects of benefits sought iud negative effect of perceived risk ell the purchase intention of Saenghwal-Hanbok were found. There were also the significant effects of demographic and consumer's characteristics on the clothing image, benefit sought, perceived risk.
This study empirically investigated inter-relationships among the influence factors on the adoption of e-commerce, which are classified as cause factor (i.e., perceived environmental uncertainty and competition), facilitators (i.e., perceived economic benefits, inter-organizational trust, suppliers' pressure and capability and asset specificity) and support factor (i.e., top management's support and organizational resource capability). The results of regression analyses showed that competition, inter-organizational trust, suppliers' pressure and capability, top management's support, and organizational resource capability have a positive impact on the adoption of e-commerce. In the analyses of inter-relationships among the influence factors, it was found that perceived environmental uncertainty positively influences suppliers' pressure and capability and perceived economic benefits, and competition has a positive impact on asset specificity. It was also observed that perceived economic benefits, inter-organizational trust and suppliers' pressure and capability positively affect top management's support, and inter-organizational trust and suppliers' pressure and capability have a positive impact on organizational resource capability. With mediating regression analyses, it was found that competition has an indirect impact on the adoption of e-commerce through the effect on perceived economic benefits, suppliers' pressure and capability, organizational resource capability and top management's support. The results of mediating regression analyses also showed that suppliers' pressure and capability and perceived economic benefits have indirect effects on the adoption of e-commerce through the effects on top management's support and organizational resource capability. From these results, it is concluded that intense competition causes the activation of facilitators, and the facilitators contribute to both the enhancement of top management support and the creation of organizational resource capability, which are directly linked to the adoption of e-commerce.
Purpose: This descriptive study was undertaken to explore the distribution of stages of mammography adoption and identify benefits and barriers perceived by women according to the stage of mammography adoption. Methods: A total of 227 women aged between 30 - 60 was selected by the convenient sampling in W city. The instrument developed by the researcher based on the scales of Champion(1993), Champion & Skinner(2003), and Rakowski et al (1992) was used. Results: The distribution of stages of mammography adoption was as following; precontemplation 30.7%, contemplation 23.8%, relapse 20.2%, action 14.4%, and maintenance 10.8%. Women in maintenance and actors showed high scores in benefits and low scores in barriers. Those in relapse reported high scores in both benefits and barriers, while precontemplators and contemplators showed high score in barriers and low scores in benefits. Conclusion: Despite the rate of mammography participation has increased, the proportion of maintenance stage is still low and that of relapse is high. For those in relapse, strategies to eliminate barriers hindering regular and continuous mammography are necessary. For precontemplators and contemplators, detail information including purpose, procedure and benefits of mammography should be given primarily.
Many studies have reported that software piracy is prevalent in today's society. As software is more closely integrated with across industries, software piracy would put more burdens on national economy. In spite of software anti-piracy efforts, the phenomenon has been getting worse. It is necessary to change the focus of current deterrence strategies. For better understanding of unethical behavioral intention, a research model of potential determinants for the software piracy is developed and empirically tested. The results from the study show that the planned behavior model variables-attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control-have impact on intention to commit software piracy. In addition to the variables, past behavior, perceived benefits and risk were found to be significant predictors of attitude toward software piracy. However, neither attitude nor intention was influenced by facilitating conditions. Moreover, the effect of past piracy behavior on attitude was strongly mediated by perceived benefits. Implications for research and practice are discussed.
The Korean version of Perceived Restorativeness Scale was administered to 150 SanEum Recreational Forest visitors to investigate it's psychometric properties. Factor analysis revealed that the scale consists primarily of four factors related to compatibility, preference, being away and coherence. The internal consistency of the scale was positive. Based on these tests, it appears that the scale is a sound measure of restorativeness or psychological health benefits from forest experience.

Are the benefits derived from ICT based reference and information service worth the financial and other commitments devoted to it? In an attempt to answer this, this study delved into finding out the perceived benefits; the rational for ICT based reference services in Nigerian university libraries. The main objectives were to find out the purposes for using ICT facilities in reference services delivery and the perceived benefits derived from using ICT resources in reference and information services. Being a survey, questionnaire was used to collect data from the librarians of twelve (12) universities; two (2) each sampled from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Data was analyzed using frequencies, mean scores and standard deviations. ANOVA statistical analysis was used to test the hypothesis of no significance difference in the benefits derived from ICT based reference services using p-value of 0.05 to calculate the level of significance. Findings showed that librarians and library users made use of ICT facilities for different reference purposes especially to obtain information they need using the internet. Other reference needs for which patrons used the ICT facilities included: - access to current e-books and e - journals, user education and access to global information in other libraries. Provision of current awareness services (CAS) and selective dissemination of information services (SDI), on-line searching using workstations in the library, provision of on-line public access catalogue (OPAC) services, keeping statistics of users of the reference section and compilation of bibliographies. Further findings showed that the librarians and library users derive a lot of benefits from their use of ICT facilities in reference services. The results showed that easy retrieval and dissemination of information to patrons were ranked highest by the librarians amongst others.
The purposes of this study were to (a) identify dimensions of relational benefits in the social commerce market, (b) predict the effects of relational benefits on satisfaction, repurchase intention, and word of mouth (WOM) intention, (c) examine the mediating effects of satisfaction, and (d) compare the differences in the effects of relational benefits on satisfaction, repurchase intention, and WOM intention between the two groups of market mavenism. For collecting data, a self-administered questionnaire was undertaken by an online research agency. A total of 490 usable responses were obtained from consumers who have used social commerce sites. The sample included a slightly higher number of females (50.8%) than males and age was ranged from 20 years to 40 years. An exploratory factor analysis generated four factors of relational benefits such as confidence, convenience, special treatment, and information. Multiple regression models showed that confidence, convenience, and special treatment benefits were significant predictors of satisfaction and repurchase intention; the confidence and convenience benefits were significant for WOM intention. Satisfaction significantly mediated the relationship between relational benefits and repurchase intention, and the relationship between relational benefits and WOM intention. The group with high level of market mavenism more highly perceived the relational benefits than the other groups. Confidence benefit had a significant effect on repurchase intention regardless of the level of market mavenism, while convenience benefit had a significant effect on repurchase intention in the non-market maven group. This study discussed the managerial implications for customer relationship management in the social commerce marketplace.
The purposes of this study were to understand health-promoting behavior of client visiting health-promoting center, to identify the major subscales affecting performance in health promoting behavior to facilitate nursing intervention for health promoting of this population and to test Pender's Health Promotion Model. The subjects for this study were 177 sampled among clients from health-promoting center in General Hospital at Teajon. Data was collected by self-reported questionnaires from February 11 to May 22, 1998. Analysis of the data was done by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Stepwise multiple regrssion using SPSS-PC. The results of the study were summarized as follows : 1. The mean score of performance in the health-promoting behavior was 109.22 and range was 71 to 170. The subscale of the highest mean score was self-actualization(30.77) and the subscale of the lowest mean score was exercise(10.50). 2. The most important variable in the health promoting behavior was the perceived self-efficacy. The perceived self-efficacy explained 15.8% of the variance in health promoting behavior. The combination of perceived self-efficacy, perceived barriers, religion, perceived benefits, perceived symptom, and age explained 43.5% of the variance in health promoting behavior. 3. In the relationships between individual characteristics and experience and health promoting behavior, age, religion, the significant differences in the subscale of the health promoting behavior ; sex, educational state, previous occupation, monthly income, marrital state, perceived symptom, and visiting plan of health-promoting center. 4. The health promoting behavior was statistically significant correlated with perceived benefits, perceived barriers, affect related to action, and perceived self-efficacy.
