Information technology improves convenience, safety, and performance of automobiles. Recently, a lot of algorithms are studied to provide safety and environment information for driving, and lane detection algorithm is one of them. In this paper, we propose a lane detection algorithm that reduces the amount of calculation by reducing region of interest (ROI) after preprocessing. The proposed algorithm reduces the area of ROI a lot by determining the candidate regions near lane boundaries as V-ROI so that the amount of calculation is reduced. In addition, the amount of calculation can be maintained almost the same regardless of the resolutions of the input images by compressing the images since the lane detection algorithm does not require high resolution. The proposed algorithm is implemented using C++ and OpenCV library and is verified to work at 30 fps for realtime operation.
Magnetic domain structure and static magnetic properties were investigated in the ultra thin 3%Si-Fe strip wound cores when the strips were wound and annealed to relief the stress. The elastic and plastic deformation due to the radius of curvature was also investigated for the cores. At the as-wound state, the maze pattern domain structure was generated on the concave surface of the core and 180$^{\circ}$ domain wall was recovered by annealing 600 $^{\circ}C$$\times$30 min. After annealed by 900 $^{\circ}C$$\times$30 min, Hc of strip-wound cores was not reached to the $H_c$ of the strip even at the cores of elastic deformation region. It is necessary to relief the local stress remained in the core when the cores were manufactured for the application of ultra-thin 3%Si-Fe strip.

In case of mechanical down tilting, a horizontal pattern is distorted and beam width widens whenincreasing tilt angle, which causes an expansion of hand off region and burden base station equipment. In contrast, electrical down tilting has advantage that horizontal HPBW is kept constant with down tilting. In this paper, based on a phased array technology, dual polarized base station antenna with electrical down tilting was developed at 800MHz band. The antenna has down tilting range of 0$^{\circ}$ to 14$^{\circ}$, and 15㏈i gain. We use stacked microstrip patch as a radiated element and apply balanced feed technique to improve isolation between ports and discrimination of cross polarization. The effect of electrical down tilting was verified by field test.

In this paper, we describe a novel method to generate an intermediate scene using BDM (Bidirectional Disparity Morphing) from the parallel stereopair. Because an image is composed of several layers and each layer has a similar disparity, it is available to use the block based disparity estimation. In order to prevent the false correspondence, however, we closely investigate the corresponding block as we adaptively vary the block size according to the estimation error. Therefore, we can detect the occlusion because of larger estimation error of the occluded region. We define three occluding patterns, which ate derived from the peculiar property of the disparity map, in order to smooth the computed disparity map. The filtered disparity map using these patterns presents that the false disparities ate well corrected and the boundary between foreground and background becomes sharper. As a result, we can improve the quality of the intermediate scenes.
Recently the instantaneous center concept has been to understand the biomechanics by which a tissue derangement causes a mechanical derangement in human joint. Therefore, to understand the biomechanics of temporomandibular joint (T.M.J.) as a part of human joint, it is necessary to clarify the instantaneous center of rotation (I.C.R.) in the mandibular movement. Twenty male subjects without T.M.J. disorder and mandibular deviation during the mandibular movement were selected for this study. The habitual opening and closing paths were recorded on the paper of the sagittal metal plate by two pencil markers connected to the resin open clutch attached on the lower teeth, which was designed for this study. The coordinates of the 33-target points and the 109-anatomical landmarks were obtained using a Summagraphic digitizer connected to a 18AT computer. The original raw data of the opening and closing paths were smoothed by B-spline curve fitting technique and then the I.C.R. pathways were determined mathematically by the computer using algorithm for finding the I.C.R. of a planer rigid body model. Also the opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated according to the determined I.C.R. The results obtained from this study were as follows. 1. At the early opening and the last closing, I.C.R's were almost distributed around the mastoid process outside the mandibular body without the presence in the region of the mandibular condyle. 2. The I.C.R. pathway showed variable patterns to each subject at the opening and closing movements. 3. The K constant with uniform pattern was obtained by the rotation angle times the radius, which was assumed to the index of the mandibular movement. 4. The opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated by the I.C.R. pathways at the habitual opening and closing movements. 5. The mandibular condyle was rotated or translated accordng to the relative rotation angle and radius of the determinant factors of K contant.

The study on the temporal and spatial monitoring of passing vessels is important in terms of protection and management the marine ecosystem in the coastal area. In this paper, we propose the automatic detection technique of passing vessel by utilizing an artificial intelligence technology and broadband striation patterns which are characteristic of broadband noise radiated by passing vessel. Acoustic measurements to collect underwater noise spectrum images and ship navigation information were conducted in the southern region of Jeju Island in South Korea for 12 days (2016.07.15-07.26). And the convolution neural network model is optimized through learning and validation processes based on the collected images. The automatic detection performance of passing vessel is evaluated by precision (0.936), recall (0.830), average precision (0.824), and accuracy (0.949). In conclusion, the possibility of the automatic detection technique of passing vessel is confirmed by using an artificial intelligence technology, and a future study is proposed from the results of this study.
This study was carried out to investigate the growth and branching pattern of stolons at Korean lawn(Zoysia japonica Steud.) in the field condition. The results were summarized as follows ; 1.About 80% of observed lawns had one primary stolon. Among the lawns with several primary stolons, 30% of them had two primary stolons, 63% had three, and 7% had four. 2.The angles between the primary stolon and the shoot were increased from 0˚ to 52˚ according to the node order from the terminal shoot apex, and reached maximum angle at the 7th node. 3.The internode length was the longest in the middle position of stolon, and its growing rate which depends on months was increased from May to September. 4.The branching angles between primary and secondary stolon were from 44˚ to 53˚ in each node. The average left branching angle was about 48.20, right branching angle 47.8˚, and the total average branching angle was 48.00. 5.The rate of initial brabch was the highest at the 10th node in May, the 7th node in July and the 5th node in September. But, the initial branching rate at the 7th node in July was higher than any other that at the 10th node in May and the 5th node in September. 6.The distribution rate of secondary stolon in each node of primary stolon was the highest at the 7th node. 7.when the terminal shoot apex of primary stolon was damaged mechanically, the branching rate at the first node after the damaged region was highly increased to 62%. The results of this study may be suggested that the secondary stolon begins to branch with the angle of 480 from the 7th node of the normal primary stolon, and those may be used as a basic data for the branching simulation in lawn.

Molecular cloning and restriction mapping on ATPase $\alpha$-subunit gene (atpA) were carried out to obtain genomic information concerned with the gene structure and organization in Korean ginseng mitochondria. Two different clones containing the homologous sequence of atpA gene were selected from SalI and PstI libraries of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) of Korean ginseng. The sizes of mtDNA fragments inserted in SalI and PstI clones were 3.4 kb and 13 kb, respectively. Southern blot analysis with [$^{32}P$] labelled Oenothera atPA gene probe showed that atpA gene sequence was located in 2.0 kb XkaI fragment in PstI clone and in 1.7 kb XbaI fragment in SalI clone. A partial sequening ascertained that the SalI clone included about 1.2 kb fragment from SalI restriction site to C-terminal sequence of this gene but about 0.3 kb N-terminal sequence of open reading frame was abscent. The PstI fragment was enough large to cover the full sequence of atpA gene. The same restriction pattern of the overlapped region suggests that both clones include the same fragment of atiA locus. Data of Southern blot analysis and partial nucleotide sequencing suggested that mtDNA of Korean ginseng has a single copy of atpA gene. Key words ATPase a-subunit, mitochondrial DNA, Panax ginseng.
Objectives This research was proposed to present clinical practice guideline (CPG) for Taeyangin Disease of Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM). This CPG was developed by the national-wide experts committee consisting of SCM professors. Methods This guideline was performed that search and collection of literature related SCM such as "Dongeuisusebowon", textbook of SCM, clinical guidebook of SCM and fundamental research to standardize diagnosis of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Journal search related clinical trial or human complementary medicine of SCM was performed domestic and overseas. Finally, 1 article was selected and included in CPG for Taeyangin disease. Results & Conclusions The CPG of Taeyangin disease include classification, definition and standard symptoms of each pattern. Taeyangin disease is classified into exterior-origin lower back (EOLB) disease and interior-origin small intestine (IOSI) disease by region of symptom. EOLB can be replaced with Oegam-yocheok and IOSI can be replaced with Naechok-sojang that is Korean pronuncation. EOLB disease is classified into lower back favorable symptomatology (LBFS) and lower back unfavorable symptomatology (LBUS). Lower back is to say Yocheok, so LBFS can be called Yocheok favorable symptomatology and LBUS can be called Yocheok unfavorable symptomatology. LBUS is to say paraparesis symptomatology or Haeyeok, that is Korean pronunciation, symptomatology. IOSI disease is classified into small intestine favorable symptomatology (SIFS) and small intestine unfavorable symptomatology (SIUS). Small intestine is to say Sojang, so SIFS can be called Sojang favorable symptomatology and SIUS can be called Sojang unfavorable symptomatology. SIUS is to say regurgitation symptomatology or Yeolgeok, that is Korean pronunciation, symptomatology.

Lonicera caerulea var. edulis is a rare species found in some alpine region of Korea. Genetic variation in L. caerulea var. edulis has been investigated by examining 161 individuals from six natural populations: Mt. Seorak 1, Mt. Seorak 2, Mt. Jeombong, Mt. Bangtae, Mt. Gyebang, Mt. Halla. The mean genetic diversity for all the six populations was 0.25 (S.I.). The highest genetic diversity was found in Mt. Seorak (S.I.=0.3158) and the lowest was in Mt. Gyebang (S.I.=0.1047). Comparatively low level of genetic diversity was observed (Ae=1.25, P= 64.6%, S.I.=0.25), which is a typical pattern for rare tree species. AMOVA showed exceptionally large proportion of genetic variations both for among populations (34.69%) and within populations (65.31%). Excluding Mt. Gyebang, the genetic variation among and within population was 18.71% and 81.29% respectively. The UPGMA dendrogram based on genetic distance is not suitable for geographic relationship. Genetic distance of Mt. Gyebang was most distant from the other populations. Excluding Mt. Gyebang, the genetic identities among the five populations were 0.95 to 0.97, which is very high similarity level of genetic identity. This low level of genetic variations and the lack of site in nature indicates that Lonicera caerulea var. edulis demanded a serious conservation.
