In the present study, we described a test to explore the function of optokinetic system which subjected to a full visual field stimulation using two different stimulus images patterns. Our results were interesting in a point of view that the stimulation image pattern had non- neglisible influence on the optokinetic response and that in a bidimensionnel image such as the randomly distributed spots images pattern the linearity of system was assured upto the stimulus velocity of about 50 deg/sec for normal subject. As for measuring human optokinetic after nystagmus, the regular stripes pattern was rather desirable than the randomly distributed spots pattern in this study.

A simple and effective compression method is proposed for multiple-scan testing. For a given test set, each test pattern is compressed from the view of slices. An encoding table exploiting seven types of frequently-occurring pattern is used. Compression is then achieved by mapping slice data into codewords. The decompression logic is small and easy to implement. It is also applicable to schemes adopting a single-scan chain. Experimental results show this method can achieve good compression effect.

It is hard to find an operation case using anti-submarine searching pattern(ASSP) developed by Korean navy since Korean navy has begun submarine searching operation. This paper proposes the method to develop hull mount sonar(HMS) based optimal submarine searching pattern by using genetic algorithm. Developing the efficient ASSP based on theory in near sea environment has been demanded for a long time. Submarine searching operation can be executed by using ma ulti-step and multi-layed method. however, In this paper, we propose only HMS based ASSP generation method considering the ocean environment and submarine searching tactics as a step of first research. The genetic algorithm, known as a global opination method, optimizes the parameters affecting efficiency of submarine searching operation. Finally, we confirm the performance of the proposed ASSP by simulation.

This research reviews the characteristics of consumption oriented culture of post modern society and describes the food consumption culture based on the evaluative criteria pattern in eating in Ulsan Metropolitan City. The subjects consisted in 217 full-time housewives and 129 cooks. The evaluative criteria of eating scale with 4 components - the eating atmosphere factor, the preference factor, the quality factor and the table factor- is described and interpreted in the context of consumption oriented culture. 4 clusters were decided through cluster analysis; preference and quality pursuing type, high involvement type, consumerism culture pursuing type and low involvement type. Among socio-economic variables, the evaluative criteria pattern of eating was significantly associated with occupation. The results of factor analysis and cluster analysis proved that the full-time house wives and cooks in Ulsan Metropolitan city showed the propensity to consumption oriented culture in food consumption culture.

A purpose of this study is to 6nd out how the casual and formal style clothes of stripe pattern giving variety by pattern direction, pattern width, and contrast coloration have an effect on image of wearers. For this, 192 stimuli were made and 1200 testee evaluated them using semantic differential scale. As a result, five image dimensions were drawn as a factor of attractiveness, gracefulness, activeness, visibility, and tenderness. Unlike the value contrast previously researched, it showed that chroma contrast coloration which was interacted with a color tone contrast coloration had an effect on all the 5 image dimensions. This result was recognized as significant clothes dues in evaluating the image of stripe wearers. Besides, clothing style, stripe pattern, and contrast coloration were made clear as an efficient parameter in image presentation of clothing wearers.

Nowadays a lot of high-tech electronic products such as TVs, monitors and camcorders are being developed. The more functions the electronic devices have, the more heat problems occur. Therefore, most of electronic products have air-ventilation holes to eliminate heat that is generated inside the products. The shapes of ventilation holes are usually complicated since aesthetic appearance of the products is important these days. In order to create those complicated shapes, designers should do time-consuming jobs because most of commercial CAD systems do not provide the functions that create patterns of lofted parts along freeform surfaces. In this research, an automated air-ventilation hole modeling system was proposed. The system generates patterns of lofted objects on freeform surfaces. Standard process to create air-ventilation holes manually was established, and vent-hole types and pattern types were classified into several categories. Designers can create many kinds of vent-holes by combining vent-hole types and pattern types. Users can also utilize user-defined pattern which can give users more flexibility. Developed system was applied to several design examples and the results are presented.

Studies on space-invariant pattern recognition have been carried out from various approaches. Pattern recognition system using SDF filter, from weighted linear summation of tranining images, has been the focus of research since its first appearence. In this thesis, off-axis pSDF spatial matched filter has been constructed by combining angular multiplexing of off-axis reference plane wave with pSDF filter made from pseudo-inverse algorithm, and transformed to phase only filter. From observation of the correlation responses in the correlation plane, it is shown that proposed off-axis pSDF spatial matched filter is available to pattern classification and can be used for optical correlator.

Objectives This research was proposed to present Clinical Practice Guideline(CPG) for Soyangin Disease of Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM): Diagnosis and Algorithm. This CPG was developed by the national-wide experts committee consisting of SCM professors. Methods We searched the literature and articles related to Soyangin Symptomatology diagnosis and algorithm. For developing diagnosis and algorithm, we searched the classification, ordinary symptom, present symptom of the Soyangin Symptomatology. Results & Conclusions We classify the Soyangin Symptomatology by 4 steps: Exterior-Interior disease, favorable-unfavorable pattern, mild-moderate-severe-critical pattern (initial-advanced pattern). And at the unfavorable pattern, ordinary symptom is very important. So doctors need to focus on the symptom of unfavorable's ordinary symptom such as temperament inclined symptom, diarrhea, and diurnal body fever.

Our city structure is being complicated from the development of industry and the increase in population. It makes the ground space overcrowded, so underground space is systematized for use. Because this underground space has very complicated configuration, people have difficulty in finding the route in the underground space. Therefore It is demanded to comprehend configuration of the various space structure, predict pattern of the moving and analyze induction factor of the moving. When people are in the conflagration or dangerous situation, they are in the habit of using the route which they are used to go to and from. It is needed to analyze moving pattern of the pedestrian who usually use the underground space for the sake of dealing with conflagration in the underground space. Finally, this study suggested that general characteristic, distribution, moving route of the pedestrian and factors influencing that they choose the route which the research finds out.

This study is to measure and evaluate the sensibility image for textile pattern design based on the generation. Ten patterns classified by a practical survey on the market are presented. A questionnaire has 14 sensibility related words scaled by 7 point semantic differential method. The practical research is performed for 200 women screened by sensibility test for individual character analysis based on the generation. Each subject is answered by a face-to-face interview method to improve survey's accuracy, For statistical test about differences in treatment means, SAS package is used and analyzed through ANOVA, significance probability and mean, In summary, this paper has proposed the sensibility image scale for apparel pattern design to satisfy individual sensibility, The results of this study can be effectively applied to develop textile pattern design based on human sensibility.
