In this paper, we proposed and implemented a crime pattern analysis algorithm using big data. The proposed algorithm uses crime-related big data collected and published in the supreme prosecutors' office. The algorithm analyzed crime patterns in Seoul city from 2011 to 2013 using the spatial statistics analysis like the standard deviational ellipse and spatial density analysis. Using crime frequency, We calculated the crime probability and danger factors of crime areas, time, date, and places. Through a result we analyzed spatial statistics. As the result of the proposed algorithm, we could grasp differences in crime patterns of Seoul city, and we calculated degree of risk through analysis of crime pattern and danger factor.
In order to make sure the impact of spatial resolution of wind energy map on the estimation of wind power density in the Korean Peninsula, the comparison studies on the characteristics of wind energy map with three different spatial resolutions were carried out. Numerical model used in the establishment of wind map is MM5 (5th generation Mesoscale Model) with RBAPS (Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System) as initial and boundary data. Analyzed Period are four months (March, August, October, and December), which are representative of four seasons. Since high spatial resolution of wind map make the undulation of topography be clear, wind pattern in high resolution wind map is correspond well with topography pattern and maximum value of wind speed is also increase. Indication of island and mountains in wind energy map depends on the its spatial resolution, so wind patterns in Heuksan island and Jiri mountains are clearly different in high and low resolutions. And area averaged power density can be changed by estimation method of wind speed for unit area in the numerical model and by treatment of air density. Therefore the studiable resolution for the topography should be evaluated and set before the estimation of wind resources in the Korean Peninsula.
The purity of mtDNAs isolated from Archicitrus and Metacitrus leaves was higher in percoll density gradient centrifugation than differential and sucrose density gradient centrifugation. The most clear mtDNAs were obtained from mitochondria included in the Interface band of between 21% and 45% under isomotic, low viscosity conditions in the three step discontinuous percoll density gradient centrifugation. DNase treatment to the crude mitochondrlal suspension still more increased purity of mtDNA by the effective removal of the nuclear and chloroplast DNA and mtDNAs were appeared as a single band at middle position of tube by EtBr /cscl density gradient centrifugation. Agarose gel electrophoresis of mtDNAs resolved a single, broad band containing high molecular weight DNAs In all preparation. Yield of mtDNAs was about 110 and 2 ug Per 2009 in mature and immature leaves respectively. The mtDNA fragment patterns showed by EcoR I treatment were indistinguishable with respect to nom bet and position of bands in Archicitrus and Metacitrus. In the pattern of Hind E restriction, the Metacitrus displayed the unique band between 5.0 and 4.0kb, in addition to four fragments about 5.0, 2.4, 2.15, and 2.0kb, respectively, different from Archicitrus. Also the pattern of total mtDNAs fragment by the treatment of Pst I showed that the distinguishable fragment pat tern was not appeared in Archicitrus(C. iyo Tanaka), but about 6.0, 5.5, 5.0 and 2.Bkb fragments were appeared only in Metacitrus(C. junos Sieb). Therefore it was indicated that two species in intra-subgenus were identical each other, whereas considerable difference was revealed for inter-subgenus.
The study of pores, small penumbraless sunspots, can give us a chance to understand how strong magnetic fields interact with convective motions in the photosphere. For a better understanding of this interaction, we investigate the temporal variation of several tiny pores smaller than 2". These pores were observed by the Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) onboard Hinode on 2006 December 29. We have analyzed the high resolution spectropolarimetric (SP) data and the G-band filtergrams taken during the observation. Magnetic flux density and Doppler velocities of the pores are estimated by applying the center of gravity (COG) method to the SP data. The horizontal motions in and around the pores are tracked by adopting the Nonlinear Affine Velocity Estimator (NAVE) method to the G-band filter images. As results, we found the followings. (1) Darkness of pores is positively correlated with magnetic flux density. (2) Downflows always exist inside and around the pores. (3) The speed of downflows inside the pores is negatively correlated with their darkness. (4) The pores are surrounded by strong downflows. (5) Brightness changes of the pores are correlated with the divergence of mass flow (correlation coefficient > 0.9). (6) The pores in the growing phase are associated with the converging flow pattern and the pores in the decay phase with the diverging flow pattern. Our results support the idea that a pore grows as magnetic flux density increases due to the convergence of ambient mass flow and it decays with the decrease of the flux density due to the diverging mass flow.
In this study, the effects of trees on flow and scalar dispersion in an urban street canyon were investigated using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. For this, we implemented the drag terms of trees to the CFD model, and compared the CFD-simulated results to the wind-tunnel results. For comparison, we considered the same building configuration as the wind-tunnel experiment. The trees were located at the center of street canyon with the aspect ratio (defined as the ratio of the street width to the building height) of 1. First, the flow characteristics were analyzed in the tree-free and high-density tree cases and the results showed that the CFD model reproduced well the flow pattern of the wind-tunnel experiment and reflected the drag effect of trees in the street canyon. Then, the dispersion characteristics of scalar pollutants were investigated for the tree-free, low-density tree and medium-density tree cases. In the tree-free case, the nondimensionalized concentration distribution simulated by the CFD model was quite similar to that in the wind-tunnel experiment in magnitude and pattern. The correlation coefficients between the measured and simulated concentrations are more than 0.9 in all the cases. As the tree density increased, nondimensionalized concentration increased (decreased) near the wall of the upwind (downwind) building, which resulted from the decrease in wind speed case by the drag effect of trees. However, the CFD model underestimated (overestimated) the concentration near the wall of upwind (downwind) building.

The objective of this paper is to investigate the optimal Robust estimation and scale estimator that could be used to treat the gross errors in a self calibrating bundle adjustment. In order to test the variability in performance of the different weighting schemes in accurately detecting gross error, five robust estimation methods and three types of scale estimators were used. And also, two difference control point patterns(high density control, sparse density control) and three types of gross errors(4$\sigma o$, 20$\sigma o$, 50$\sigma o$) were used for comparison analysis. As a result, Anscombe's robust estimation produced the best results in accuracy among the robust estimation methods considered. when considering the scale estimator about control point patterns, It can be seen that Type II scale estimator provided the best accuracy in high density control pattern. On the other hand, In the case of sparse density control pattern, Type III scale estimator showed the best results in accuracy. Therefore it is expected to apply to robustified bundle adjustment using the optimal scale estimator which can be used for eliminating the gross error in precise structure analysis.
The molecular dynamics simulation of nanoimprint lithography (NIL) using $SiO_2$ stamp and amorphous poly-(methylmethacrylate) (PNMA) film is performed to study pattern transfer in NIL. Force fields including bond, angle, torsion, van der Waals and electrostatic potential are used to describe the intermolecular and intramolecular force of PMMA molecules and $SiO_2$ stamp. Nose-Hoover thermostat is used to control the system temperature and cell multipole method is adopted to treat long range interactions. The deformation of PMMA film is observed during pattern transfer in the NIL process. For the detail analysis of deformation characteristics, the distributions of density and stress in PMHA film are calculated. The adhesion and friction forces are obtained by dividing the PMMA film into subregions and calculating the interacting force between subregion and stamp. Their effects on the pattern transfer are also discussed as varying the indentation depth and speed.

The DNA chips are devices associating the specific recognition properties of two DNA single strands through hybridization process with the performances of the microtechnology. In the literature, the "Gene chip" or "DNA chip" terminology is employed in a wide way and includes macroarrays and microarrays. Standard definitions are not yet clearly exposed. Generally, the difference between macro and microarray concerns the number of active areas and their size, Macroarrays correspond to devices containing some tens spots of 500$\mu$m or larger in diameter. microarrays concern devices containing thousnads spots of size less than 500$\mu$m. The key technical parameters for evaluating microarray-manufacturing technologies include microarray density and design, biochemical composition and versatility, repreducibility, throughput, quality, cost and ease of prototyping. Here we report, a new method in which minute particles are arranged in a random fashion on a chip pattern using random fluidic self-assembly (RFSA) method by hydrophobic interaction. We intend to improve the stability of the particles at the time of arrangement by establishing a wall on the chip pattern, besides distinction of an individual particle is enabled by giving a tag structure. This study demonstrates the fabrication of a chip pattern, immobilization of DNA to the particles and arrangement of the minute particle groups on the chip pattern by hydrophobic interaction.ophobic interaction.
Understanding load patterns and customer classification is a basic step in analyzing the behavior of electricity consumers. To achieve that, there have been many researches about clustering customers' daily load data. Nowadays, the deployment of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and big-data technologies make it easier to study customers' load data. In this paper, we study load clustering from the view point of yearly and daily load pattern. We compare four clustering methods; K-means clustering, hierarchical clustering (average & Ward's method) and DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise). We also discuss the relationship between clustering results and Korean Standard Industrial Classification that is one of possible labels for customers' load data. We find that hierarchical clustering with Ward's method is suitable for clustering load data and KSIC can be well characterized by daily load pattern, but not quite well by yearly load pattern.

This study examined the motif, weave structure, fabric density, and thread thickness of the patterned silks excavated from the Lady Lee's Tomb to trace the weave composition of the 18th Century in Korea. Different weave compositions were adopted depending on the weave structure. Two weave structures appeared in these patterned silks : simple gauze and satin damask. In the case of simple gauze Jergori, all the components, Gil(bodice), Somae(Sleeve) had similar fabric density and thread thickness. On the other hand, the satin damask Jergoris was composed of the components of different fabric density and thread thickness. According to the fabric density and thread thickness, the motif sharpness of damask Jergori was represented in three different ways : smooth and clear, rough and clear, and rough and vague. This revealed that Lady Lee selected not only pattern but also fabric density and thread thickness in the design of damask Jergori.
