Which will have a greater impact on life, love or art? We will focus on Hyang-ryun An, a genius singer. There was a genius singer who was recognized by many people in the world of Korean music. It is said that genius is short-lived, and so is the case of Hyang-ryun An. However, it is a pity that her short life was not caused by artistic anguish and conflict, but by her miserable love. For the poor artist, the patron was a force to sustain her artistic career, but for her, love with the person who fit her will was more important. Although poor and troubled, she wanted a fiery love that shared her temperament. Therefore, in the case of Hyang-ryun An, art was long, but love had a terribly short and deadly power. In the end, a love that goes astray drops a genius artist, dangerous love became the triumph of permanent immutable art.

This study adopted the descriptive survey research method. The population of this study comprised of the hearing impaired students in selected government secondary schools in Rivers state. The population of hearing impaired students in Rivers State is 257. A simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 159. A self-developed instrument titled "Availability and Utilization of Library Information Resources Questionnaire (AULIRQ)" was utilized for data collection. 153 responses were collated, indicating a 96.2% response rate. The data collected was arranged and analyzed using frequency count, percentages, and mean and standard deviation. Finding reveals that information resources in the libraries understudied were inadequate and under-utilized. Also, it was established that among other barriers, under-funding is a major barrier to making information resources available for the physically challenged. It was recommended that schools offering special education for the hearing impaired should pace up in their developmental gap by providing such resources and ensure adequate funding by all stakeholders.

It is generally acknowledged that Philippines politics has achieved a basic soil for democracy at the macro-level by the two incidents of 'People Power' (1986 & 2001). However, in spite of such an achievement, Philippine politics at the micro-level, does not enjoy the same reputation. Institutionalized 'Bossism' or 'patron/clientelism' political culture has been attributed to make such a gap. This paper aims to bridge the gap by a longitudinal observation on local politics of a particular province in the Philippines. Surigao del Norte is the province picked up for the study. The reason why this particular province attracts special concerns is that there appears to come a very dynamic local politics, led by an indigenous Christian organization, the PBMA (Philippines Benevolent Missionary Association), which was founded in the mid 1960s. With the coming of the organization in the province, the political power of the traditional families has been narrowed. On the other hand, new families, not only the leader family of the PBMA but also the family allied with the PBMA, has expanded political influence. Following steps are adopted to understand the meaning of such a change. First, institutional frame of Philippine politics and elections will be reviewed. Second, demographic changes will be investigated on Surigao del Norte province to find out how popular the PBMA organization is among the people. Third, local election outcomes will be examined to describe the changing nature of political landscape of the province. This will reveal how the relationship between the old and new families has been developed in the province. Lastly, based on the facts discovered by a longitudinal observation, an attempt to evaluate theories on Philippines politics will be made Conclusions are as follows. To understand the dynamics of Philippine politics, 'expectations from the below,' or, 'passions of the people,' suggested by Ileto, needs more attention. Furthermore, 'mutual accommodation' between domination and resistance, coined by Abinales, also demands more appreciation. The case of local politics in the Surigao del Norte, with the coming of the PBMA, is sure to show a concrete example of changing politics in the 'changeless land.'

본 연구는 공공도서관 교육문화프로그램 참여여부에 따라 이용자들의 도서관 이용, 즉 이용도, 관심도, 활용도에 차이가 존재하는지 살펴보고, 각각의 교육문화프로그램 유형에 참여하는 이용자들이 이용성에 대한 일정한 패턴을 보이는지를 알아보고자 했다. 프로그램 현황 및 설문 데이터를 통해 통계분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 교육문화프로그램 참여 여부와 참여하는 교육문화프로그램의 유형에 따라 도서관 이용방식, 자료대출횟수, 사이트 및 앱 접속횟수 등의 도서관 이용 패턴에 차이가 존재함을 알 수 있었다.

It is the prime importance of the information and the reference-librarians to better understand the communication functions of the library since they are the ones to whom the library users come first with their informational needs. Reference librarians often have the problem of providing information to those who may have little experience with, or interest in the library. There is also a problem of finding out what the person really wants, not what he says he wants. Therefore, the interaction between the librarian and the user involves a highly complex activity of communication with each other even before the actual search begins. Reference librarians cannot perform to any degree of success without comprehension of the general patterns and processes of communication in information seeking. Nonverbal as well as verbal transmittal process on the part of both librarians and patrons should not be overlooked. Some of the difficulties and barriers of library communication are brought so that possible cures and improvement may be sought. The basic purpose of the reference interview through which this interpersonal communication takes place is for the reference specialist to enable to link the needs of the patron with potential resource of the library. The writer firmly believes that this importance of the process be taught as well as the materials in reference service regardless of the level of the course offered in library science department.

본 논문은 C대학도서관의 학술정보시스템(LAS)에 구축되어 있는 장서와 대출기록 및 고객관련 데이터를 수집하여 이를 분석하고 그 결과를 고객관계관리(CRM)에 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 수집된 자료는 C대학도서관에서 소장하고 있는 대출이 가능한 단행본 총 269,387책의 서지데이타와 고객 12,281명의 데이터, 이용자 대출기록 39,269건이었다. 대출기록 분석 데이터에서 관계변수로 이용자 신분, 대출빈도, 대출책수와 대출횟수, 출판년도를 추출하여 데이터 마이닝 기법으로 분석하고, 상관계수로 검증하였다.

Embroidery is one of the oldest methods of textiles surface decoration. The masterpiece "Tapisserie de Bayeux," is one of the earliest Medieval embroideries. Embroidery was popular on a broad scale with introduction of what was called Opus Anglicanum("English work") in the 13th century. France had been producing sophisticated embroideries since the 16th century. England was the country producing the greatest quantity of embroideries of the best quality in the 17th century. Until the 17th century, the Church was the most important patron of needlework. Then a shift in emphasis occurred towards the domestic embroidery. English 17th century domestic embroidery reached a high point of technical brilliance and charm. In France, embroidery was produced on hangings as well as costume. 18th century interest in embellishing the domestic environment, embroideries became much more finely detailed than those of the 17th century with the use of finer wool and silk threads. French silk were the finest in the world, and their embroidery was arguably equally fine both in furnishing textiles and on costumes. "Art Needlework" was the major movement in embroidery in the late 19th century. The Royal School of Needlework was founded in 1872, followed by similar institutions around Britan. Splendid fashion embroidery of French haut-couture that was represented to Lesage atelier in 20th century.

최근 들어 도서관의 관종에 상관없이 사서는 장애인에게 정상인과 동등한 서비스와 효율적인 시설을 제공하려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서, 현장의 사서뿐만 아니라 미래의 사서도 장애 이슈의 교육을 통해 장애인의 요구와 그들의 정보입수행위를 규명하고 이해하는데 필요한 다양한 지식과 기술을 갖추어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 장애 이용자의 도서관 서비스에 대한 사서의 경험과 입장을 강화시키기 위하여 문헌정보학과의 교육환경을 장애 관련 교과목, 교수의 교과목 개설에 대한 인식도 그리고 그들의 강의 내용을 조사 분석하여 개선된 교육 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결론에서 문헌정보학과에서 앞으로 추구하여야 할 장애 이슈의 교육 방향을 제시하였다.

The purposes of this study were to find the difference of clothing life-style and to examine clothing buying behaviors on personality types. Personality types were identified using Myers-Briggs Type indicator(MBTI). The data were collected from 360 female adults using a questionnaire to clothing lifestyle and clothing buying behavior. The data were analysed with factor analysis, one- way ANOVA and Duncan＇s multiple range test. Results are summarized as follows: First, ＇Fashion-oriented＇, ＇self-regulate-oriented＇, ＇activity-oriented＇, ＇economic-oriented＇, ＇social-oriented＇, ＇leisure-oriented＇ and ＇conservationoriented＇ clothing life-style had a significant difference of psychological types. Second, Extroverted(E) or Sensation(S) or Feeling(F) types regarded significantly higher in ＇VMD＇, ＇store atmosphere＇, ＇famous brand name and store name＇ as criteria for store selection than combination types(IN, IT, NT) of Introverted(Ⅰ), iNtuition(N), Thinking(T). Third, Sensation Judgement types(SJs) of a patron temperament preferred a ＇plan-oriented＇ life-style and considered ＇famous brand name and store name＇ important. Sensation Perceiving types(SPs) of an artist temperament had an ＇unplanned＇ clothing life-style and a significantly higher impulsive buying orientation than SJs.

Nana was an important patron deity in the Kušan Empire and the most important deity worshipped by Emperor Kaniška (c. 127-150 CE). She was the head of the royal dynastic pantheon at this time. The cult of Nana may already have existed in Central Asia prior to the arrival of Indo-Iranians in the region, since she appears on a BMAC seal dating to the early second millennium BCE. Similarly, her cult in Bactria may pre-date her appearance in the Kušan pantheon by over two millennia. The spread of Nana's cult over such vast distances vividly illustrates the cultural connections (presumably stemming mostly from trade) that existed from prehistoric times linking the Mediterranean world to that of Central Asia and beyond, with the Iranian plateau at its center. The prevalence of Sogdian coins bearing Nana's name suggests that she was also the principal deity of Sogdiana. In Bactria, the goddess Ardoxšo (Avestan Aši vaŋ^vhī) was also worshipped by Kušāns and appeared on their coins. Nana, who was associated with war, fertility, wisdom, and water, was also equated with the Iranian goddesses Anāhitā, Aši, and Ārmaiti. The cult of Nana-Ārmaiti was widespread throughout eastern Iran.
