Factors Influencing Physical Activity among Community-dwelling Older Adults with Type 2 Diabetes: A Path Analysis (지역사회에 거주하는 제2형 당뇨병 노인의 신체활동에 영향을 미치는 요인: 경로분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify factors influencing physical activity among community-dwelling older adults with type 2 diabetes. The study design was based on the Theory of Triadic Influence. Methods: A total of 242 older adults with type 2 diabetes participated in this study. Six variables related to physical activity in older adults, including self-efficacy, social normative belief, attitudes, intention, experience, and level of physical activity, were measured using reliable instruments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analyses, and a path analysis. Results: The mean physical activity score was 104.2, range from zero to 381.21. The path analysis showed that self-efficacy had the greatest total effect on physical activity. Also, experience had direct and total effects on physical activity as well as mediated the paths of social normative beliefs to attitudes and intention to physical activity. These factors accounted for 10% of the total variance, and the fit indices of the model satisfied the criteria of fitness. Conclusion: The findings of the study reveal the important role of self-efficacy and past experience in physical activity in older adults with type 2 diabetes.

  • This study deals with the influencing factors for satisfaction and the emotional value perception of mobile voucher service user. Thus researcher examined a structural equation modeling methodology of the paths within word of mouth, satisfaction, and other exogenous variables (economic/rational value, trust, joyfulness, innovativeness). As a result of this study, First, it was confirmed that the emotional value, and innovativeness affected user's trust for coupon service and joyfulness for using mobile voucher. Second, it was confirmed that trust and joyfulness affected user's satisfaction and word of mouth activities. Therefore, in cases of utilizing the emotional appeal of mobile voucher as part of a marketing tool, corporate can maximize efficiency by using their mobile voucher service & event from the point of view of customer's satisfaction & voluntary word of mouth. Researcher's consideration is that this paper's theoretical and practical contribution point is the propose of the one of the post adoption model with the quantitative study of the mobile voucher service user's emotional perception in the initial development stages of high-tech industry.

  • As a part of working on development of the learning management system, a adaptive learning management system which is able to provide individual learner with different learning contents or paths customized to learner's learning behaviors by expanding SCORM was proposed in this dissertation. In terms of instructional technology interrelated with technology of CBI and ITS, new learning environments and learner preferences were analyzed. A related laboratory system was implemented by packaging a process on how to expand the meta data for contents and a process on how to utilize the web-based learning contents dynamically. In order to evaluate the usability of the implemented system, a sample content was provided to some selected learners and their learning achievement resulted from the new learning environment was analysed. A result of the experiment indicated that the adaptive learning management system proposed in this dissertation could provide every learner with the different content tailored to their individual learning preference and behavior. and it worked also to promote the learning performance of every learner.

A Study on the Fundamental Cause of Stall Stagnation Phenomena in Surges in Compressor Systems

  • Although the stall stagnation phenomena have often been experienced in site and also analytically in numerical experiments in surges in systems of compressors and flow paths, the fundamental causes have not been identified yet. In order to clarify the situations, behaviours of infinitesimal disturbance waves superposed on a main flow were studied in a simplified one-dimensional flow model. A ratio of the amplifying rate of the system instability to the characteristic slope of the compressor element was surveyed as the instability enhancement factor. Numerical calculations have shown the following tendency of the factor. In the situation where both the sectional area ratio and the length ratio of the delivery flow-path to the suction duct are sufficiently large, the enhancement factors are greater in magnitude, which means occurrence of ordinary deep surges. However, in the situation where the area ratio and/or the length ratio is relatively smaller, the enhancement factor tends to lessen significantly, which situation tends to suppress deep surges for the same value of the characteristic slope. It could result in the stall stagnation condition. In the domain of area ratio vs. length ratio of the delivery duct to the suction duct, contour-lines of the enhancement factor behave qualitatively similar to those of the stall stagnation boundaries of a fan analytically obtained, suggesting that a certain range of the enhancement factor values could specify the stagnation occurrence. The significant decreases in the factors are observed to accompany appearances of phase lags and travelling waves in the wave motions, which macroscopically suggests breaking down of the complete surge actions of filling and emptying of the air in the delivery duct. The strength of the action is deeply related with acoustic interferences and is evaluated in terms of the volume-modified reduced resonance frequency proposed by the author. These observations have shown the fundamental cause and the sequence of the stall stagnation in principle.

OBSERVATIONS OF EUV RECURRING JETS IN AN ACTIVE REGION CONFINED BY CORONAL LOOPS

  • Recurring jets, which are jets ejected from the same site, are a peculiar type among various solar jet phenomena. We report such recurring jets ejecting from the same site above an active region on January 22, 2012 with high-resolution multi-wavelength observations from Solar Dynamics Observatory(SDO). We found that the recurring jets had velocities, lengths and lifetimes, but had similar directions. The visible brightening appeared at the jet base before each jet erupted. All the plasma produced by the recurring jets could not overcome the large coronal loops. It seemed that the plasma ejecting from the jet base was confined and guided by preexisting coronal loops, but their directions were not along the paths of the loops. Two of the jets formed crossing structures with the same preexisting filament. We also examined the photospheric magnetic field at the jet base, and observed a visible flux emergence, convergence and cancellation. The four recurring jets all were associated with the impulsive cancellation between two opposite polarities occurring at the jet base during each eruption. In addition, we suggest that the fluxes, flowing out of the active region, might supply the energy for the recurring jets by examining the SDO/Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) successive images. The observational results support the magnetic reconnection model of jets.

Relationship of Avoid Fusion and concentration : Focused on mediative effects of emotion control and thinking control (인지융합과 집중력 간의 관계: 정서조절과 사고조절력의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to examine mediative effects of two factors, emotion control and thinking control, in the relationship between avoid fusion and attention. Participants (308 high school students) were asked to complete a questionnaire which contains items to measure some psychological properties such as emotion control (EC), thinking control (TC), avoidance avoid fusion (CF), conceration(Co) and learning attitude(LA). Structural equation model analysis showed that 8 of modified 9 paths were statistically significant; CF to Co and TC, TC to EC, Co, and LA, EC to Co and LA, and Co to LA. Limitations and suggestions were mentioned in the discussion.

The Impact of Web Site Characteristics on e-Trust in Specialized Portal (전문포털의 웹사이트 특성이 e-신뢰에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined relationship of effect between the characteristics of specialized portal and two branch dimension(cognitive and emotional e-trust) of e-trust on the specialized portal web-site. The characteristics of specialized portal web-site composed the guarantee factor, the structural factor, information factor, the entertainment factor and the flow factor by prior research. The model of e-trust strategy for specialized portal web-site is tested here using data from 122 samples. Result of factor and regression analysis show that the hypothesized relationships are significant. In examining the relationships of the factors in the study, the guarantee, structural and information fact effect on building of cognitive e-Trust. Second, the entertainment and flow factor effect on emotional e- Trust. Third, the cognitive and emotional e- Trust effect on the satisfaction of e-Service users. As these results, this study found out difference paths of e-Trust which effect on the satisfaction of e-Service by cognitive and emotional e- Trust approaches to the specialized portal web - sites.

  • Customers have the various needs and personalities and try to get them. The behaviour of buying products, one of the highlight things, is the most general phenomenon of filling up their desires, and even these types are eventually personalized. Also there are various criteria for selecting it and also those are to be determined by the customers' own personalities. Mostly customers show the more attractive behaviours for those products which are more attractive to them, and for carefully buying them they use various paths. The criteria to buy the products are the mostly generalized things such as price, design, size, weight, trend, and so on, and it can be affected by the specifics of the products. But it is not definitely unimportant to consider the personality. Customers have the unusual personality for the product which is more attractive to them, and then for the unattractive, they only show the unclear criteria or specifics. The existing studies are focused on the product itself, and then they just show the results related to the specifics of the products, but it could be considered a case that the customers could think some products classified into the highly involvement products would be the lower involvement ones. Upon this, for same products if the customers show some differences of information(relating to the degree of involvement), I am going to figure it out by using AHP that what the criteria to buy is. In this study, with the computer products which are considered as the highly involvement products, I will select two groups showing the differences of awareness of the products, and then figure out the selecting criteria.

Alternating Offers Bargaining Game and Wardrop's User Equilibrium (Nash의 협상게임과 Wardrop의 사용자 균형)

  • This paper presents a relationship between Nash bargaining game and Wardrop user equilibrium, which has been widely used in transportation modeling for route choice problem. Wardrop user equilibrium assumes that drivers in road network have perfect information on the traffic conditions and they choose their optimal paths without cooperation each other. In this regards, if the bargaining game process is introduced in route choice modeling, we may avoid the strong assumptions to some extent. For such purpose, this paper derives a theorem that Nash bargaining solution is equivalent to Wardrop user equilibrium as the barging process continues and prove it with some numerical examples. The model is formulated based on two-person bargaining game. and n-person game is remained for next work.

Influence of The Multimedia Function on Continue Using Intention of Smartphone Based SEM (구조방정식 기반 스마트폰의 멀티미디어 기능이 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Smartphone users, opinion experts more than 99 percent of the economically active population is using, it has reached the saturation past the early stages of formation. In this research, we aim to analyze factors influencing of the multimedia function on continue using intention of Smartphone. Predictor factors were selected perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived enjoyment suggested on extended the technology acceptance model. Participants of this study were 106 Smartphone users in Busan city and Jeonbuk province in accordance with convenience sampling. IBM SPSS Statistics 19 were employed for descriptive statistics, Smart PLS(partial least squares) was employed for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis of casual relationship among variables and effect. Analytical results show that all paths from perceived value to continue using intention are significant. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications based on the results.
