In order to develop smart grid communications infrastructure, a high level of interconnectivity and reliability among its nodes is required. Sensors, advanced metering devices, electrical appliances, and monitoring devices, just to mention a few, will be highly interconnected allowing for the seamless flow of data. Reliability and security in this flow of data between nodes is crucial due to the low latency and cyber-attacks resilience requirements of the Smart Grid. In particular, Artificial Intelligence techniques such as Fuzzy Logic, Bayesian Inference, Neural Networks, and other methods can be employed to enhance the security gaps in conventional IDSs. A distributed FPGA-based network with adaptive and cooperative capabilities can be used to study several security and communication aspects of the smart grid infrastructure both from the attackers and defensive point of view. In this paper, the vital issue of security in the smart grid is discussed, along with a possible approach to achieve this by employing FPGA based Radial Basis Function (RBF) network intrusion.

The requirements for the successful treatment of all-ceramic restorations are not so different from the ones of conventional restorations. "The provisional restoration followed by an adequate tooth reduction" and "the accurately fitting prostheses with corresponding to final impression" can be the examples of them. Nevertheless, the one which all-ceramic restorations are distinguished from conventional restorations is the additional procedure of so called "bonding". In addition to the application of resin cement between "inner surface of restoration and outer surface of abutment", bonding technology can be also applied to the treatment process of "Post and Core" in particular if the abutments are non-vital teeth. Core build-up for all-ceramic crown is conducted with fiber post and tooth colored composite by considering the properties of the restorations transmitting light. I would like to share my clinical experience about "silica based ceramic and non silica based ceramic restoration.

Modernity is commonly defined as a reflection of the features of modern society based on the historical experience of the West. As such, modernity includes involvement with political, economic, and social changes, a changing world-view, and changing trends in equality, gender roles, a desire for "the new," consumption, distribution based on mass production, and rational reform in fashion and dress. First and foremost, however, modernity in costume has been driven by the functional requirements of industrial capitalism. But while modernity has popularly been regarded as some sort of universal standard, in fact the West and the other societies have vastly different, unique, and particular experiences with their own respective histories of modernization. For this reason, cultural changes in the modernization process should be-indeed, must be-analyzed in the context of a country's own unique historical and cultural circumstances, rather than through the prism or strict adaptation of generalized Western concepts of modernization. Moreover, a "periodization" of the modernization of fashion and dress can be established by examining the characteristics of modernity in costume.

It is important to satisfy the requirements and standards for the protections of passengers in a car accident. There are lots of studies on the crushing energy absorption of a structure members in automobiles. We have studied to investigate collapse characteristics and moisture absorption movements of CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) hat shaped sectional members when CFRP laminates are under the hygrothermal environment. In particular, the absorbed energy, mean collapse load and deformation mode were analyzed for side members which absorbed most of the collision energy. Variation of CFRP interlaminar numbers is important to increase the energy absorption capability. Therefore we have made a static collapse experiment to research into the difference of absorbed energy and deformation mode between moisture absorbed specimen and non-moisture absorbed.

Ubiquitous computing environment accelerates the advent of the IT Ecosystem. In the coming generation, a massive number of ubiquitous devices and services are converged into an ultra-large-scale system. In this context, high degrees of complexity and organization change the paradigm of knowledge and its management levels. The objective of this paper is to explore the Knowledge Management Systems in view of demands in ultra-large-scale systems. We introduce motivation for Next-Generation (NG) usage and their upcoming requirements. The possible applications will be discussed, and summary of different techniques are conducted. The tools and techniques that allow KMS to operate as "Vital Success Enabler" to achieve organizational benefits will be examined. Potential future directions for research are highlighted: these include advances in knowledge capture, storage / retrieval and sharing techniques, in particular with the surrounding role of information technology.

In a keyword search scheme a user stores encrypted data on an untrusted server and gives a database manager a capability for a keyword which enables a database manager to find encrypted data containing the keyword without revealing the keyword to the database manager. Conjunctive keyword search scheme enables a user to obtain data containing all of several keywords through only one query. One of the security requirements of conjunctive keyword search schemes is that a malicious adversary should not be able to generate new valid capabilities from the observed capabilities. In U:5 paper we show that conjunctive keyword search schemes are not secure. In particular, given two capabilities corresponding two sets of keywords, an adversary is able to generate a new capability corresponding to the dierence set of two keywords sets.

In order to overcome the conventional robot's physical limitation to frequent changes in operational requirements, it is quite appealing to modularize its system components and allow them to be combined into various configurations to best suit the needs to a particular application. Several researchers have presented the concept of modular robot. In this paper, the kinematics and dynamics of modular robot are studied, which concretes the concept of modular robot. This study includes the selection of individual module, the definition of their parameters and the development of module based manipulate. analysis software package (MBMAP).

Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings are used nowadays in various applications such as a protective coating against wear or corrosion in automotive parts, and recently its use is more and more apparent in particular biomedical applications [1]. The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has started a program of collaborative study for industrial standardization of DLC films and their evaluation techniques. Japan New Diamond Forum (JNDF), Nanotec Corporation and the Nagaoka University of Technology are conducting this program. This project includes national organizations (businesses, universities, and research facilities), encompassing a wide range of requirements. JNDF organize Japanese project committee and working group. The purpose of this report is to discuss standardization and classification of DLC coatings.

When a semiconductor package is assembled, various materials such as die attach adhesive, lead frame, EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound), and gold wire are used. For better preconditioning performance, the combination between the packaging materials by studying the compatibility of their properties as well as superior packaging material selection is important. But it is not an easy task to find proper packaging material sets, since a variety of factors like package design, substrate design, substrate size, substrate treatment, die size, die thickness, die passivation, and customer requirements should be considered. This research applies case-based reasoning(CBR) technique to solve this problem, utilizing prior cases that have been experienced. Our particular interests lie in building decision support model to aid the selection of proper die attach adhesive. The preliminary results show that this approach is promising.

This paper described the current status of machine tool technology and its future trends with a particular emphasis on high-speed machining. People in machine tool industry have continuously sought to serve fast-changing manufacturing industry with economical machining solutins. At presents, it appears that more productivity gain is demanded to shorten time-to-market and machining requirements become more stringent. In this regard, this paper firstly addressed a high-speed spindle as a key element for the next-generation machine tools. The sequel to it apparently went to high-speed feed axes and final discussion included the problem of how to optimize overall system including servo function. Lastly a brief look to NC technology including machine intelligence was taken.
