  • 본 연구는 시멘트 제조공정 중 입도분급을 통하여 채취한 미세입자의 시멘트를 치환한 모르터의 품질향상을 위해 고로슬래그 미분말 및 석고 자극제를 치환한 경우의 실험으로써, 유동성 및 조기강도는 저 하하였으나 28일 일부 압축강도는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

Dilutant flow characteristics model of coarse particle suspensions with uniform size distribution

  • It is expected that particle size distribution of any portion obtained through screening, is of more uniform than that of the original mixture, typically following such as log-normal, Rosin-Rammler distributions and so on. In this study, therefore, a new relation between parameters of the uniform distribution and flow characteristics of the coarse particle suspensions is derived based on the continuous polydisperse model (Ookawara and Ogawa, 2002b), which is derived from the discrete polydisperse model (Ookawara and Ogawa,2002a). The derived model equation predicts a linear increase of viscosity with shear rate, viz., dilutant flow characteristics. Further, the increase of viscosity is expected to be proportional to the square of volume fraction of particles, and to show the linear dependency on density and average diameter of particles. It is also shown that the uniform distribution model includes additional term that expresses the effect of distribution width. For verification of the model, the experimental results of Clarke (1967) are cited as well as in our previous work for the monodisperse model (Ookawara and Ogawa,2000) since most parameters were varied independently in his work. It is suggested that the newly introduced term expands the applicable range compared with the monodisperse model.

공정수에 존재하는 형광증백제의 제거 기술에 대한 기초연구 (Fundamental Study on Developing the Technology for the Removal of Fluorescent Whitening Agents from the Process Water)

  • The use of fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs) increases as the demand for the whiter and brighter printing papers increases. FWAs are used as internal and surface treatment chemicals. FWAs that are not used properly in the papermaking process, however, remain in the process water and may demage the paper quality and processes. In this study, a new idea to eliminate FWAs from the process water, consisted of the floc formation of FWAs with cationic chemicals, such as cationic polyelectrolytes and alum, and the removal of the floc by screening or sedimentation, was proposed. Flocculation of FWAs, that is the first step to remove FWAs from the process water, was investigated using turbidity and particle size measurement. Relationship between turbidity and particle size showed that the turbidity could reflect the particle size change of FWA flocs and was proper for the evaluation of flocculation phenomena. Poly-DADMAC was more efficient than PEI to induce the flocculation of FWAs. Alum was effective chemical for the flocculation and sedimentation of FWAs.

  • Oyster shell is light weighted and its strength characteristic is similar to sand so we have reviewed to find its suitability of aggregate. Therefore we found fineness modulus and size distribution of oyster shell by grinding it with inverter cutter mill varying inverter speed and screening size. In our test, the fineness modulus has tendency of decrease in higher speed and tendency of increase in bigger diameter of screening size. 5~2.5mm, 2.5~1.2mm, 1.2~0.6mm, and below 0.6mm of oyster shell particle size could be used in further test for suitability of aggregate.

자력선별법을 이용한 화력 발전소 매립회의 지오폴리머 원료화 연구 (The study of geopolymer utilization of reclaimed ash by using magnetic separation method)

  • 화력발전소에서 발생되는 매립회의 지오폴리머 원료화를 위하여 자력선별 공정을 이용하여 자성체와 비자성체로 분리하였으며, 매립회의 입도 및 자석의 세기에 따른 미연탄소의 선별 특성을 관찰하였다. 3000 G 자석을 이용한 세립(0.15~0.84 mm)과 조립(0.84~2.4 mm) 매립회의 자력선별 결과, 매립회는 입도에 상관없이 비자성체의 무게분율과 강열감량이 자성체보다 높게 나타났으며, 세립 매립회의 경우 자석의 세기를 3000 G에서 10000 G로 증가시키면, 약한 자성을 띠는 물질들도 자성체로 분리됨에 따라 자성체의 무게 분율이 급격히 증가되면서 낮은 강열감량에도 불구하고 전체 강열감량의 32.6 wt%의 66.9 %(22.8 wt%)를 차지하였다. 자력 선별된 조립 매립회로 제조된 지오폴리머의 재령일별 압축강도 측정결과, 미연탄이 적게 포함된 자성체로 제조된 지오폴리머의 압축강도가 20 MPa를 나타내었다.

Hybrid PSO를 이용한 안전도를 고려한 경제급전 (The Security Constrained Economic Dispatch with Line Flow Constraints using the Hybrid PSO Algorithm)

  • This paper introduces an approach of Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization(HPSO) for a security-constrained economic dispatch(SCED) with line flow constraints. To reduce a early convergence effect of PSO algorithm, we proposed HPSO algorithm considering a mutation characteristic of Genetic Algorithm(GA). In power system, for considering N-1 line contingency, we have chosen critical line contingency through a process of Screening and Selection based on PI(performance Index). To prove the ability of the proposed HPSO in solving nonlinear optimization problems, SCED problems with nonconvex solution spaces are considered and solved with three different approach(Conventional GA, PSO, HPSO). We have applied to IEEE 118 bus system for verifying a usefulness of the proposed algorithm.

Microstructure and shear modulus in concentrated dispersions of bidisperse charged spherical colloids

  • We examine rigorous computations on microstructural as well as rheological properties of concentrated dispersions of bidisperse colloids. The NVT Monte Carlo simulation is applied to obtain the radial distribution function for the concentrated system. The long-range electrostatic interactions between dissimilar spherical colloids are determined using the singularity method, which provides explicit solutions to the linearized electrostatic field. The increasing trend of osmotic pressure with increasing total particle concentration is reduced as the concentration ratio between large and small particles is increased. From the estimation of total structure factor, we observe the strong correlations developed between dissimilar spheres. As the particle concentration increases at a given ionic strength, the magnitude of the first peak in structure factors increases and also moves to higher wave number values. The increase of electrostatic interaction between same charged particles caused by the Debye screening effect provides an increase in both the osmotic pressure and the shear modulus. The higher volume fraction ratio providing larger interparticle spacing yields decreasing high frequency limit of the shear modulus, due to decreasing the particle interaction energy.

Molecular Control of Gene Co-suppression in Transgenic Soybean via Particle Bombardment

  • Molecular co-suppression phenomena are important to consider in transgene experiments. Embryogenic cells were obtained from immature cotyledons and engineered with two different gene constructs (pHV and pHVS) through particle bombardment. Both constructs contain a gene conferring resistance to hygromycin (hpt) as a selective marker and a modified glycinin (11S globulin) gene (V3-1) as a target. sGFP(S65T) as a reporter gene was, however, inserted into the flanking region of the V3-1 gene (pHVS). Fluorescence microscopic screening after the selection of hygromycin, identified clearly the expression of sGFP(S65T) in the transformed soybean embryos bombarded with the pHVS construct. Stable integration of the transgenes was confirmed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Southern blot analysis. Seeds of transgenic plants obtained from the pHV construct frequently lacked an accumulation of endogenous glycinin, which is encoded by homologous genes to the target gene V3-1. Most of the transgenic plants expressing sGFP(S65T) showed highly accumulation of glycinin. The expression of sGFP(S65T) and V3-1 inherits into the next generations. sGFP(S65T) as a reporter gene may be useful to increase the transformation efficiency of transgenic soybean with avoiding gene co-suppression.

Research on diagnosis method of centrifugal pump rotor faults based on IPSO-VMD and RVM

  • Centrifugal pump is a key part of nuclear power plant systems, and its health status is critical to the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants. Therefore, fault diagnosis is required for centrifugal pump. Traditional fault diagnosis methods have difficulty extracting fault features from nonlinear and non-stationary signals, resulting in low diagnostic accuracy. In this paper, a new fault diagnosis method is proposed based on the improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) algorithm-based variational modal decomposition (VMD) and relevance vector machine (RVM). Firstly, a simulation test bench for rotor faults is built, in which vibration displacement signals of the rotor are also collected by eddy current sensors. Then, the improved particle swarm algorithm is used to optimize the VMD to achieve adaptive decomposition of vibration displacement signals. Meanwhile, a screening criterion based on the minimum Kullback-Leibler (K-L) divergence value is established to extract the primary intrinsic modal function (IMF) component. Eventually, the factors are obtained from the primary IMF component to form a fault feature vector, and fault patterns are recognized using the RVM model. The results show that the extraction of the fault information and fault diagnosis classification have been improved, and the average accuracy could reach 97.87%.

입도분급 시멘트의 분말도 변화에 따른 고강도 콘크리트의 기초적 특성 (Fundamental Properties of High Strength Concrete Depending on the Elaine of Cement Particle Classifying)

  • This study investigates the fundamental properties of high strength concrete made with various blame values of cement, manufactured by the particle screening method in a pulverizing process. Test showed that concrete using lower blame of cement, such as large particle (L) and both ordinary and large particle (OL), increased the fluidity of fresh concrete. As tine progressive, it was noticeable that the specimens using ordinary cement (OPC) gradually decreased the fluidity, but the other specimens showed the sudden decline until 30 minutes, which is followed by a gradual decrease after 60 minutes. For the setting time, higher blaine of cement accelerated the initial and final setting time, especially concrete using minute size of cement (M) was 10 hours faster than OPC. Compressive strength of L exhibited similar value at 1 days as to that of strength in OPC at 3 days. Importantly, the specimens using M also revealed the similar strength value, regardless of curing temperature between $-5^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$, which means that using this minute particle of cement in concrete can secure the strength development even in the lower temperature circumstance. Therefore it is clear that using OPC+M simultaneously at cold weather concreting can resist the early frost and develop the early strength of concrete.
