The authors present a rare case of clear cell ependymoma that developed in the cauda equina. A 54-year-old man was admitted to hospital with intermittent lower back pain. A neurological examination conducted on admission revealed no sensory or motor disturbance. Deep tendon reflexes in both lower extremities were normal. Magnetic resonance images demonstrated a 1.0 cm-sized intradural mass at the filum terminale. Gross total resection was performed via total laminectomy of L1 and L2. The tumor was confirmed to be clear cell ependymoma by histopathologic examination. His symptom was relieved after surgery.

본 논문에서는 전력 소비자 입장에서 전력가격에 큰 비중을 차지하는 System Marginal Cost(SMP)를 줄이는 방법으로 ESS를 포함하여 Unit Commitment(UC)를 수행하는 방법과 그에 따른 효과를 분석하였다. 먼저 본 논문에서는 일반적인 UC를 Lagrangian Relaxation(LR) 기법으로 얻은 최적의 결과 값을 토대로 ESS를 추가하였다. 기존의 LR알고리즘으로부터 얻은 결과 값에 ESS를 추가하는 방법으로는 Dynamic Programming 방법의 한 종류인 Label Correcting Methods[]를 사용하였다. 기존의 UC 알고리즘 결과 값을 토대로 ESS를 추가하여 SMP 감소효과 분석을 위해 실 계통에서 사용되는 종류별 발전기 10대와 임의적으로 설정한 24시간의 부하 값을 토대로 MATLAB을 이용해서 구현하였고, 결과 값을 통해 실질적인 SMP 감소효과 유무를 확인할 수 있었다.

The post-annealing treatments on rf magnetron sputtered PZT($Pb_{1.05}(Zr_{0.52},\;Ti_{0.48})O_3$) thin films($4000{\AA}$) have been investigated for a structure of PZT/Pt/Ti/Coming glass(1737). Crystallization properties of PZT films were strongly dependent on RTA(Rapid Thermal Annealing) annealing temperature and time. We were able to obtain a perovskite structure of PZT at $650^{\circ}C$ and 10min. P-E curves of Pd/PZT/Pt capacitor demonstrate typical hysteresis loops. The measured values of $P_r$, $E_c$ were $8.1[{\mu}C/cm^2]$, 95[kV/cm] respectively. Polarization value decrease about 25% after $10^9$ cycles.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of constraint-induced movement therapy on the involved hand function and ADL in stroke patients. Five subjects with fixing unaffected arms by CIMT were assigned to the experimental patient group and the other five patients to control group without fixing unaffected arms. The function of hand for both groups were evaluated by using Jebsen-Taylor hand function test and ADL for both groups were evaluated by FIM(Functional Independence Measure) before and after task practice. In conclusion, results of this study showed that improved hand function and ADL by CIMT in stroke patients. We concluded that CIMT can improved the involved hand function and ADL in stroke patients.

This paper introduces a wind turbine simulation system based on the IEC 61400-25 standard to simulate different kinds of wind turbines. A unified communication protocol was required for monitoring and control of wind turbines, because manufacturers had used their own protocols for their turbines. As a result of such an effort, the international standard IEC 61400-25 was established. To implement the schema of IEC 61400-25, the IEC61850 SCL was modified and applied to the simulation system, which enabled the system to be compatible with heterogeneous wind turbine information models. The developed simulation system can be used for interoperability tests with a new type of wind turbine information model.

Live-line maintenance for electric power lines is very dangerous because of their ultra-high voltage environments and the risks of falling from heights. Recently, drone technology has been spotlighted due to its maneuverability and stable controllability, and has been being applied to maintenance works in the electric power industry. This paper presents a new type of drone that can be transformable by introducing biomimetics to its mechanism and can run on an overhead ground wire as well as it can fly. Its technical feasibility was confirmed through experiments.

Several hydrotalcite compounds calcined with different temperature for applications in a chlorine resistant textile were prepared, and its structural changes in dependence on the temperature were studied by using $^{27}Al$ solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy. We found that the Al coordination was partly lowered from octahedral to tetrahedral site as the calcined temperature goes up. And we also investigated the hydrotalcite-treated textile for chlorine resistance by using $^{27}Al$ solid-state NMR spectroscopy.

초전도 특성평가장치는 외부 인가 자장과 온도를 변화시켜 가며 고온 초전도 선재의 특성을 측정할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 설계된 초전도 특성평가장치용 마그네트에 대한 전자장 해석을 하였고, 이 마그네트에 iron을 설치하였을 때의 전자장 해석을 수행하였다. 전자장 해석을 통하여, iron을 설치하였을 때와 iron을 설치하지 않았을 때의 차이를 파악하도록 하였다. 그리고, iron의 두께에 따라 달라지는 자장 분포를 파악하여 초전도 특성평가장치에 iron을 설치하였을 때의 특성을 파악하도록 하였다.

전력시장의 효율적인 운영을 위한 전력산업 구조개편은 전 세계적으로 진행되고 있다. 우리나라의 경우 발전부문의 분할과 부분적인 경쟁의 도입되고 있다. 따라서 발전설비투자에 있어서 정부의 역할이 축소되고 점차 시장 기제 속에서 발전사업자 각각의 투자권한이 강해지고 있는 실정이다. 구조개편 이전에는 일반적으로 정부가 장기적인 전력 공급의 안정을 위해 전력공급계획을 수립하고, 독점회사인 한국전력공사가 이에 따른 발전설비투자를 시행하였다. 그러나 전력산업 구조개편 이후, 새로운 전력수급기본계획을 수립하였다. 이전과 가장 큰 차이는 발전사업자가 발전설비를 투자하는데 있어 자유롭게 사업계획을 세울 수 있게 되었다는 점이다. 본 논문에서는 발전분할 전후의 투자효율성을 비교하는 방법론을 제시하고, 그 프레임을 한국 전력시장에 적용시켜보았다.
