Computer aided process planning (CAPP) keeps an important role between the design and manufacturing engineering processes. A CAPP system is a digital link between a computer aided design (CAD) model and manufacturing instructions. CAPP have been researched and applied in manufacturing filed, however, one manufacturing area where CAPP has not been extensively researched is rapid prototyping (RP). RP is a technique for creating directly a three dimensional CAD data into a physical prototype. RP enables to build physical models automatically and to use to reduce the time for the product development cycle as well as to improve the final quality of the designed product. Three-dimensional (3D) printing is one kind of RP that creates three-dimensional objects from CAD models. The paper presents a computer aided process planning system for printing medical products. 3D printing has been used to solve complex medical problems such as surgical instruments, bioengineered products, medical implants, and surgical guides.

This research is a case study for the planning process and production process of design project done through industry-university collaboration research. Proposed for the design process and result for the development of the corporation's promotional fashion items. In addition, during the 3-month study period, went through the research process of a number of design, planning, meetings, discussions, and colorway, sample production and selection. The study was carried out using mainly necktie and scarf, the ones one can make use of the best among men's and women's fashion items as fashion items for promotion. The design work was done using Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5, Texpro 11 version programs. This study is a design development case study where design research experts and the persons in charge from the company took part in for the PR the company demands, and wish it to be used as a basis material for improving company image as a fashion product for the PR of a company.

Small park in the community is a public asset that is commonly used by the residents daily and performs an important role to activate the community. The purpose of this study is to draw a small park plan through community participation. In concrete, this study tries to find out the demand of the residents about their small park plan, observe the changes in their demand in the process of debate and analyze the effect of the residents' participation. Small group workshop method was adopted in the study and three groups were set up and surveys were made in two stages. Two dimensional pictogram cards and three dimensional digital park formation tools were used. The results of workshop study indicated as follows: Firstly, residents wanted to have community farming garden, green house and flower garden to grow plants, natural walls and safe resting facilities. Secondly, individual and diverse opinions presented at first could be converted to common opinions through mutual exchanges of opinions in the process of debates. Thirdly, digital park formation program functioned well as an effective visual tool to draw the attention and quick responses of the residents and to reach an agreement. It is expected that the results of this study show the effectiveness of residents' participation tools in the process of drawing agreements in the community society that requires the residents' demands and agreement and this study will be usefully utilized in planning community spaces with residents' participation hereafter.

In order to maintain and protect professionalism in color planning, the present study examined the process at the time of realization of color through color inspection and supervision in the actual construction site and suggested plans for improvement. Reflecting the characteristics that the governing body of the construction site is not a private person but an organization, the present study aims to provide institutional measures so that the supervisor of color construction at the actual site of construction can propose concerns related to proper construction at the right time, and the matters cannot be decided from the perspective of a layman. The institutional measures are proposed through the case of application of a process at the construction stage of the color planning at the construction site of Muju Taekwondo Park. First, the process clarified where the responsibility lies by specifying special conditions concerning color inspection on the field guide and color contract. Second, the sample for building materials was selected after obtaining it from a company capable of supply and is appropriate for the planned unit cost so that it could play an important role in realizing colors at the stage of basic design. Third, the process of construction was ensured not by temporary selection of colors but by continuous approval of colors in consideration of the conditions of construction site through letter of approval of color at each stage and point of time. Fourth, coordination of various color elements of other fields including landscape, interior, and electricity ensured construction of the whole structure in one color concept. Fifth, color inspection through the mock up of the site will minimize erroneous construction and reconstruction and prevent decrease in productivity. Sixth, this study also suggested more comfortable and positive color environment through evaluation by experts and users. The researcher of this study expects that color experts actively participate in the stage of construction to contribute to improvement of the color environment.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the school location decision factor with land use planning and urban design. And this research proposed the school location decision factor for urban amenity. This research proved the fact that the school land correlated with the park, the other school land etc. And this result will be used in decision-making-process of land use planning, public land development construction oriental, urban design and city policy.

The planning of the central green space (residential park) in a residential quarter is an effective way of increasing public space in the process of urban development and urban renewal. It is regarded as an important technical project in the detail plan of a residential quarter in order to create a better environment in the residential quarters. The scale of a residential park, normally not less than 5000㎡, is defined according to the land-use conditions and the local population. The site should have easy access for the residents, and fit into the surrounding landscape and Fengshui whenever possible. It should also satisfy various leisure needs of the local residents at all ages. The design of the park should be friendly to the residents'interests, hobbies and aspirations. The artistic style of the landscape is to emphasize on delightfulness, harmony and warmness.

Resident and user participation has been emerging as a hot topic and has been predicted to be popular and general in urban planning and regeneration, specially in housing regeneration in future. Also the number of the resident who are willing to participate in planning and regeneration process is expected to increase drastically as democratic and diverse society get matured. To enable a wide range of residents in planning process within a very limited time, effective and efficient communication tools need to be prepared. The purpose of study is to develop a set of tools for facilitating residents to participate actively in the process of exploring, consulting and decision making process in the street and regeneration. A realistic and feasible testbed site was decided. Developed tools were first, educational contents to empower resident capability to select a better design, second, three dimensional scaled model of existing site, third, floorplan and elevation of design alternative, forth, computer simulation images of both 3D & sketch-up for comparing wall heights and their effect. fifth, Two workshops among professionals and one workshop with residents were carried. Through the workshop, guidelines of developing communication tool for facilitating resident participation was developed. Its usage was summarized in both in further analog and digital tool.

Most VE operation related to construction project is progressed in stage of planing or design phase, especially in case of domestic. It is encouraging fact and if you have VE process in stage of planning and design, you'll have experience a reduction of about 70% of total saving cost in which total construction process may occurred. However, recently the work of construction in overseas increase and almost is only construction-work, except planning and design process. As this reason, VE process for construction-work phase only is demanded in high necessity. VE in construction phase comes to accomplish intensively in the part which the design change does not follow, through know-how, equipment operating method and method of temporary-structure erection at the established construction-site learned, builders will be the possibility of reduction from 3% to 10% in constructive expense. This paper describes VE performing example in OO company's construction-work phase, and propose the methodology of VE performance in the phase of construction. And also it is aimed to extending VE applications into the overseas construction enterprise.

The die development of the high-strength steel sheet is very different with that of the common steel sheet. Especially, the springback problem of the high-strength steel is serious in the stamping process. This paper showed the optimized die development of the high-strength steel sheet which was based on the experimental measured and simulated springback auto panel stamping process.

The evaluation of the quality of residential environment, in the planning process, is very important. If the environmental quality can be measured on the design scheme itself, it would be possible not only to estimate the residential environment, but also to apply the results of measuring in the planning and design of new residential projects. This study aimed at estimating the relative weights of the constituents of a residential environment by AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). For the detailed analysis of relative weights, the respondent of survey were composed of two different groups-dwellers and experts. The findings are as follows (:) 1) the relative weights of residential constituents were different between the respondent groups; 2) the relative weights of residential constituents were different according to socio-demographic characteristics; and 3) for the practical application of estimation results of the relative weights, the relation between residential performance constituents and physical design elements should be considered.
