Conjoint analysis is a widely-used statistical technique for measuring relative importance that individual place on the product's attributes. Despsite its practical importance, the complexity of conjoint model makes it difficult to analyze. In this paper, w consider a Bayesian approach using Jeffrey's noninformative prior. We derive Jeffrey's prior and give a sufficient condition under which the posterior derived from the Jeffrey's prior is paper.

Increasingly, systems analysts are expected to have behavioral and administrative skills as well as technical skills. This paper presents the results of 739 information systems (IS) mangers (220 responses) regarding the importance of various skills needed by systems analysts. The survey instrument skill items were gathered from those reported in previous similar studies.

This paper investigates the importance and satisfaction levels according to factors on commercial Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) packages in the view of end users when the ERP system is employed especially in SMEs. Considering the characteristics and functions of ERP packages, five factors (vendor, technology, function, A/S, price) are obtained based on the literature review. The proposed procedure consists of finding importance factors and satisfaction levels which support the selection of ERP packages for a certain SME. When a company tries to implement the ERP system, the findings in this paper suggest which ERP package is suitable for its own business environment.

본 연구는 실제 사례를 중심으로 하여 프로그램의 복제정도 및 도용여부를 판단하기 위한 모형을 개발하는 내용이다. 본 논문에서는 복제정도 및 도용여부를 판별하기 위한 항목을 기술하였다. 또한 각 항목들은 각각의 중요도가 다르기 때문에 각 항목별 중요도를 결정하고 각 항목에 대해 복제정도를 산출하였다. 이를 기반으로 하여 프로그램간의 전체적인 복제여부를 판단한 연구내용이다.

This paper takes the region segmentation in image processing and the semantic importance in an image analysis into consideration for digital image watermarking. A semantic importance for an object region, which is segmented by specific features, is determined according to the contents of the region. In this paper, face images are the targets of watermarking for their increasing importance, the use of frequency and strong necessity of protection. A face region is detected and segmented as an object region and encoded watermark information is embedded into the region. Employing a masking and filtering method, experiments are carried out and the results show the usefulness of the proposed method even when there are high compression and a synthesis as a case of copyright infringement.

This paper rejuvenates the existing discussion on the importance of cluster approach to industry development strategies. Current evidences suggest that the shape of economic policy and practice is changing significantly around the world. Governments continually search for new tools and policy formulas to improve economic performance and create economic prosperity for all citizens. In this context a more proactive and strategic role for government in support of the cluster-based economic development model has emerged. This paper uses Singapore's petrochemical industry as an example to study the cluster approach to industry development. In doing so, there is much optimism to the importance of state and its institutions to play a significant role on industry development. Nevertheless, the study also raises doubts on whether the cluster-based strategy is due to the concept itself or due to other important factors.

In this paper, an effective curriculum for the department related to industrial safety and health is developed through task analysis by the following approaches. The first approach is DACUM. The method is reflected the demand of industrial fields on subjects in curriculum. In this paper, DACUM workshop involves a trained DACUM facilitator and a committee of 6 expert workers from industrial safety and health area. 21 subjects which are necessary in the industrial fields have been selected by the DACUM analysis. The other is to understand the relative importance among each subject by AHP method. The relative importance of the subject is shown in the order of safety management, mechanical safety, construction safety, human factors engineering and system safety, chemical safety, electric safety by AHP analysis. The competition of department can be improved, if the result of this research is adapted to the department curriculum related to industrial safety and health.

Purpose - A lot of preceeding studies have focused on the pains that might be felt in spending money, that is an important role in getting psychological safety. Money and social resources can be all for consumers, and they are likely to form a substituting relationship with one another. Being motivated by the idea that spending money for others can come with joy if one's objective is accomplished by social support, this paper aimed to explore the mediating role of the perceived money importance and gratitude in the relationship between social support and pleasure in spending for other-gift. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - In this empirical study, the experimental group is expected to receive social support while the control group is composed of those who are usually indulged in reminiscences of their sweethearts. From the college students, 160 experiment participants were selected and 80 participants of them were assigned to control group as well as to experimental group respectively at random. Empirical study for each of the two groups was performed respectively by means of questionnaire survey. Experimental group data and control group data were combined together to be used for testing hypotheses. Linear structural equation model in Amos was used to verify the hypotheses, and Bootstrap was also used to examine whether there were the mediating roles of the perceived money importance and gratitude or not. Results - From the empirical study, following conclusions could be drawn: First, social support of others makes one perceive the importance of money less; Second, social support of others makes one perceive gratitude to others; Third, less perceived importance of money and gratitude to others can make one feel pleasure in spending for other-gift; and Fourth, less perceived importance of money and gratitude to others can partially mediate the effect of social support from others on the pleasure in spending for other-gift. Conclusions - The outcomes of this study might offer theoretic and managerial implications as follow: Even though many hitherto studies have asserted that spending money usually comes with pains, this study discovered that social support might reduce perceived the importance of money but make others feel gratitude and, thus, one would feel joy in spending money to buy gift for others, and made a contribution to the progress of the theory of pleasure in spending for other-gift. This paper also made contributions toward the development of emotion marketing theory by showing that the effect of social support on the pleasure in spending for other-gift could be partially mediated by the perceived the importance of money and gratitude to others. Based on the above conclusions, it may be affirmed that marketers should help consumers perceive the importance of money less, and help feel gratitude to others by pointing up the support of others to consumers in an attempt to accelerate spending for other-gift.

In this paper, we identify and evaluate the information security factors considered in outsourcing development of information systems for defense agency with analytic hierarchy process(AHP). To assess the information security elements, we prepared three groups including the experts of a defense agency, subcontractor managers and subcontractor practitioners who are involved in developing information systems. And the relative importance of security factors were analyzed using questionnaires and responses. As a result of analysis of 27 security factors, factors corresponding to human and physical security as a whole were evaluated as having higher importance. Although there are some differences in the ranking of some importance according to human roles, they can be positive for the implementation of complementary information security. And administrative security and technical security can be relatively insignificant considering that they can be considered as infrastructure of the overall information environment. The result of this paper will be helpful to recognize the difference of perception of information security factors among the persons in the organization where collaboration is activated and to prepare countermeasures against them.

Economic growth with rising household income has put more vehicles on the roads worsening traffic congestion, road accidents, and air and noise pollution. This situation is further aggravated by the potential working population who choose to drive to work instead of taking public transportation. Public bus transport (PBT) plays an important role in alleviating these problems. PBT is underutilized in Malaysia, and there is an opportunity to increase ridership without substantial investment. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the factors that influence the use of PBT in Malaysia. The data were collected using structured questionnaires from 400 respondents. The results of the analysis show that the twin factors consisting of perceived satisfaction of and perceived importance by users towards safety and comfort of facilities and services offered by PBT are significantly related to intention to use those services. The satisfaction of availability of season tickets, the importance of reliability of bus schedule and time table, and the importance of ticket pricing are also significant. By providing insights for both public bus operators and the government, this paper contributes to mitigate the underutilization of PBT in Malaysia and the consequences of putting more vehicles on the roads. From the theory perspective, this paper also contributes by extending the theory of reasoned-action to transportation studies.
