Degree of 2D discrete linear shift-invariant system and reduction of 2d rational transfer function

  • In this paper we present a method of determining the unknown degree of any 2D discrete linear shift-invariant system which is characterized only by the coefficients of the double power series of a transfer function, i.e. a 2D impulse response array. Our method is based on a 2D extension of Berlekamp-Massey algorithm for synthesis of linear feedback shift registers, and it gives a novel approach to identification and approximation of 2D linear systems, which can be distinguished in its simplicity and potential of applicability from the other 2D Levinson-type algorithms. Furthermore, we can solve problems of 2D Pade approximation and 2D system reduction on a reasonable assumption in the context of 2D linear systems theory.

  • 본 연구는 pade 근사 또는 minimax 근사법으로 파랑진행방향의 허용범위를 확장시핀 포물선형 완경사방정식의 적용성 및 구조물에 의한 회절파의 비선형성을 고찰하는 데 그 목적이 있으며, 이를 위하여 불투과성의 이안제가 설치된 파랑장에 위 모델을 기본방정식으로 하여 수치계산을 수행한 후, 수리모형 실험치(Watanabe and Maruyama, 1984)와 비교ㆍ분석하였다. 그 결과 구조물의 기하학적 차폐경계를 따라 증가된 회절효과 때문에 비선형 모델의 파고치가 선형 모델의 파고치보다 크게 나타나며, 파랑진행 허용범위각을 크게 확장시킨 모델은 파랑진행각이 큰 영역에서는 측방향으로 파랑에너지를 높은 정도로 전과시키나 파수의 근사에 의한 누적된 오차 때문에 전반적으로 파고치가 왜곡되어 나타남을 알 수 있다.

  • We consider the robust control problem for nonminimum phase(NMP) systems with parametric uncertainty which appear often in aircraft and missile control. First, a new method that makes such an uncertain NMP system to be factored as a interval minimum phase(MP) transfer function and a time delay term in the Pade approximation form has been presented. The controller to be proposed consists of a compensator $C_{Q}$(s) with Smith predictor in the internal model control(IMC) structure, so that it can have good robustness and performance against the structured uncertainty and the time delay behaviour due to NMP plant the $C_{Q}$(s) is designed on the MP model by using QFT. The stability and performance of overall system has been evaluated by the generalized Kharitonov theorem.rem.

  • This paper deals with designing a ground-based longitudinal landing controller which is robust to datalink time delays. Time delays occur because forward velocity measurements are downlinked and the controller output commands are uplinked. An $H_{\infty}$ controller was designed by using the input/output decomposition where time delay is modeled as a first-order system with Pade approximation. Linear simulations show that the system tracks well the predefined path and is robust to the variation of time delay.

  • This paper proposes an auto-tuning method of a discrete -PIC controllers which is based on the Ziegler and Nichols's PID Tuning Rule. This tunign rule is derived using the Pade's first order approximation and it prevents the performance degradation caused by the time-delay effect of zero order holder when the Ziegler-Nichols tuning rule is applied to a discrete PID controller. A simple and practical auto-tuning method is proposed through combining this discrete tuning rule with the relay control. The auto-tuning scheme is implemented on a microprocessor based system and is applied to a position control system to show the effectiveness of the discrete tuning rule.

  • In the distributed control systems where the control components, controllers and sensors are distributed on a communications network, there exist network time delays on communication lines between the system components. This paper deals with the ramp tracking controller design issue for such systems. Time delay terms are converted into the rational terms using Pade approximation method and the system is augmented with two integrators for ramp tracking. For this system, $\mu$-controller design method, which enables to meet not only performance requirements but robust stabilities simultaneously, is employed.

  • This paper discusses tracking position control of linear actuator that has a time delay. The time delay happens when the process reads the sensor data and sends the control input to the plant located at a remote site in distributed control system. In this thesis, the time delay between the linear actuator and the discrete PID controller has constant value due to buffer device so the time delay can be modeled by Pade approximation but the large position error of the linear actuator is generated by the time delay.   • A design of PI controller to be used to control the first-order lag plus dead time process, such as a flow process, by the coefficient diagram method (CDM) is investigated. The factor of the dead time of process is first approximated to be the first-order by the Pade approximation. The response of the flow control system designed by CDM satisfy both transient and steady state specifications. However, the transient response generally still has long rise time.
