센서와 GPS를 이용한 TMC의 구현 및 성능 분석 (TMC (Tracker Motion Controller) Using Sensors and GPS Implementation and Performance Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광 집광 효율 향상을 위한 많은 연구 방법 중 하나로서 태양광을 효율적으로 집광할 수 있는 TMC(Tracker Motion Controller) 시스템 구성하여 발전효율의 향상성을 갖춘 집광형 태양광 발전시스템(CPV)과 실리콘을 이용한 PV 시스템으로 실험하였다. 태양추적 발전시스템에 사용되는 마이크로프로세서는 실시간으로 태양광의 고도와 위도 각을 계산한다. 또 한 센서로부터 값을 받아들이고, 태양의 현재 위치 값을 계산하여 모터를 제어하며 중앙제어 시스템과의 통신을 하기 때문에 적용 가능성에 대한 부담이 커지고 있다. 따라서 집광형 태양광 발전시스템에 적합한 프로그램 방식과 센서방식을 혼합한 하이브리드 방식의 알고리즘 통하여 ARM코어를 내장한 TMC에 구현하였으며, 구현된 TMC를 통하여 기존 PV시스템, CPV 시스템 대비하여 국내에서의 발전효율을 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과 기존의 센서방식을 이용한 집광형 태양광 발전 시스템에 GPS통신 값을 통해 프로그램 방식의 천문학 계산에 의하여 지평좌표계에서의 태양의 방위각과 고도각을 계산하는 하이브리드 태양위치추적 방식을 실험한 결과를 보면 맑고 일사량이 높은 날에는 큰 차이를 보이진 않았다. 그러나 흐리고 맑은 날 등 일사량이 없어 센서가 태양의 위치를 추적하지 못하고 멈춘 상태에서 일정 시간이 지난 후 태양이 센서의 사각지대에서 나타나면 센서의 오류가 생길 수 있는 기후변화에서는 오히려 센서방식보다 더 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다. 태양전지의 발전효율이 높아지고 생산발전 단가가 줄이는 부분에 대한 지속적인 연구, 더불어 기후의 변화에 따른 최적의 발전 능력을 가진 TMC를 적용한 고효율 집광형 시스템에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 필요할 것으로 기대된다.

건물외피용 태양광발전 BIPV 모듈 개발 연구 (Development of Building Integrated PV(BIPV) module for the replacement of commercial building envelope materials)

  • As Building Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV) system replaces the conventional building finishing materials with PV modules, two function of electricity generation and building envelope can be expected. Therefore BIPV can be a good alternative technology for the 21 century environment-friendly buildings. The objective of this paper is to develope BIPV modules for a commercial buildings of which structure is mainly light-weight, curtain wall system. Two types of module are developed for a opaque part and a transparent part of building envelope. Current technology level and market status of Korea determines the configuration of developed BIPV modules. Architectural considerations for the integration of PV module to building envelope such as building structure, construction type, safety, regulation, maintenance etc. have been carefully reflected from the early stage of BIPV module design. Especially the survey result of current building envelope materials determines the size of unit BIPV modules and a unique cladding method for PV module installation is developed. Trial product of BIPV modules and cladding hardwares are manufactured and sample construction details for a demonstration building are proposed.

A Hysteresis Current Controller for PV-Wind Hybrid Source Fed STATCOM System Using Cascaded Multilevel Inverters

  • This paper elucidates a hysteresis current controller for enhancing the performance of static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) using cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter. Due to the rising power demand and growing conventional generation costs a new alternative in renewable energy source is gaining popularity and recognition. A five level single phase cascaded multilevel inverter with two separated dc sources, which is energized by photovoltaic - wind hybrid energy source. The voltages across the each dc source is balanced and standardized by the proposed hysteresis current controller. The performance of STATCOM is analyzed by connecting with grid connected system, under the steady state & dynamic state. To reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and to improve the output voltage, closed loop hysteresis current control is achieved using PLL and PI controller. The performance of the proposed system is scrutinized through various simulation results using matlab/simulink and hardware results are also verified with simulation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 3.3kW PV-BESS 시스템과 능동전력디커플링 회로를 연계한 스마트 모빌리티 충전시스템을 제안한다. 일반적인 계통 연계 시스템에서 문제가 되는 2차 리플 전력을 능동전력디커플링 회로를 적용하여 제거함으로써 스마트 모빌리티에 안정적인 전력을 공급하고 스마트 모빌리티 충전 시스템의 전력밀도를 높이고 수명을 늘릴 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 MATLAB/Simulink 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

  • Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of PV system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for sensing the monitoring data and indirect controlling of the PV system. Most of the conventional monitoring system depend on the special hardware and software. Basic design goal of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-on card based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, free of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generation plants, etc.

  • 본 논문에서는 독립형 태양광 시스템의 설계에서 배터리 용량 선정 방식에 관련하여 부하손실확률(LLP: Loss of Load Probability)이 0 인 기준을 토대로 시스템 무정전 전력공급을 위한 시행 착오법을 제안하였으며 시스템의 수명주기비용(LCC: Life Cycle Cost)을 분석하여 기존 시스템에 비해 경제성을 높이고자 한다. 제안한 방식의 검증을 위하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • As the maximum power operating point(MPOP) of photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems changes with changing atmospheric conditions such as solar radiation and temperature, an important consideration in the design of efficient PV system is to track the MPOP correctly. Many maximum power point tracking(MPPT) techniques have been considered in the past, however, techniques using microprocessors with appropriate MPPT algorithms are favored because of their flexibility and compatibility with different PV arrays. Although the efficiency of these MPPT algorithms is usually high, it drops noticeably in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions. This paper analysed and researched the characteristics of three MPPT algorithms; P&O, Inc&Cond, ImP&O and simulated them with irradiance changing.

This paper proposed a new MPPT algorithm based on perturb & observe(P&O) algorithm with experiment. The results shows that the new P&O algorithm has successfully tracked the MPOP, even in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions, and has higher efficiency than ordinary algorithms.

  • This paper presents a new software-based on-line dead-time compensation technique for single-phase grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverter system. To improve the mitigation of dead-time effect around the zero-crossing point of phase current, a selective harmonic elimination of instantaneous feedback current is used as an additional part of conventional current control scheme. Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of proposed compensation method in the grid-connected power distributed generation systems.

독일 계통 연계 규정에 기반 된 대용량 태양광 발전 시스템의 계통 안정화를 위한 제어 전략 (Control Strategy for a Grid Stabilization of a Large Scale PV Generation System based on German Grid Code)

  • The rising penetration of renewable energy resulted in the development of grid-connected large-scale power plants. Therefore, grid stabilization, which depends on the system-type or grid of each country, plays an important role and has been strengthened by different grid codes. With this background, VDE-AR-N 4105 for photovoltaic (PV) systems connected to the low-voltage grid and the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) introduced the medium-voltage grid code for connecting power plants to the grid and they are the most stringent certifications. In this paper, an optimal control strategy scheme for three-phase grid-connected PV system is enhanced with VDE-AR-N 4105 and BDEW grid code, where both active/reactive powers are controlled. Simulation and experimental results of 100kW PV inverter are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed implemental control strategy.
