최근에 출시된 UV CTP의 경우 일반 PS판을 사용하는 경우가 대부분이다. 하지만 몇 년 전만 해도 전용 PS판을 사용해야 했기 때문에 대부분의 인쇄사가 CTP 도입을 꺼리는 이유가 됐다. 이러한 상황에서 가장 먼저 일반PS판을 사용하는 CTP를 공급해오고 있는 회사가 있다. 바로 (주)에스앤아이시스템즈에서 공급하는 바시스피린트사의 UV CTP가 바로 그것이다. 바시스피니트사의 UV Setter가 우리나라 CTP시장을 바꾸어 놓았다 해도 과언이 아니다. 에스앤아이시스템즈를 방문해 바시스프린트사의 UV CTP와 함께 CTP시장 전망에 대해 들어본다.

Product liability(PL) and product safety(PS) is one of the most costly and confusing problems facing manufacturing today. Accordingly, this paper presents an integral process for product safety and product liability resulting from a defective product and proposes countermeasures of PL and PS for the four types of risk based on severity and frequency. Finally, we have presented a framework and practical procedure to provide the manufacturer with useful way of analyzing the risk potential of consumer products.

서체 보호를 이유로 출시가 미뤄지던 CID(Character Identify keyword font) 및 CID PS(PostScript) 폰트가 최근 두산동아 인쇄BU에 납품된 것으로 확인됐다. 이번에 납품된 CID 폰트는 윤디자인연구소 284종, 산돌글자은행 205종, 세일포트마 148종, 한글컴퓨그래피 139종 등 4개회사 제품 776종으로 한양정보통신과 아시아폰트를 제외한 상업용 인쇄에서 사용빈도수가 높은 상당수의 폰트가 포함되어 있다. 총 776종의 CID 및 CID PS 서체가 납품됨에 따라 국내에서도 서체 문제로 어려움을 겪던 PDF를 이용한 워크플로우 등 각종 작업의 실용화가 가능하게 됐다.

The toughening mechanism and fracture behavior of rubber/polymer composites were investigated with respect to two factors; (1) the composition ratio of polymers(PPO and PS which have a different chain flexibility) and (ii) the rubber particle size in PPO/PS blend system Izod impact test and fractographic observation of the fracture surface using scanning electron microscope were conducted, Finite element analysis were carried out to gain understanding of plastic deformation(shear yielding and crazing) of these materials.

Ps. aeruginosa 의 DNA repair 기구 결손변이주인 rec-, Hcr- 그리고 R931 plasmid 를 가진 R2 (Carbenicillin, Kanamycin, Streptomycin) plasmid transconjugants 가 R2 Plasmid 획득에 의해서 Gamma선 및 돌연변이제 (4NQO, NTG)에 대해서도 내성을 증강시키는지를 검토함으로써 방사선에 대한 내성화 기구를 해명하고자 했다. 그리고, DNA repair 기구에 작용하는 DNA polymerase I 생산에 관여하는 유전자가 R2 plasmid에 code 되어 있는지를 검토하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) Ps. aeruginosa PAO균주의 R2 plasmid transconjugants는 R2 plasmid 획득에 의해 자외선, Gamma선 및 돌연변이제에 대한 내성을 부여받았으나 transconjugant 균주에 따라 다른 종류의 내성결과를 얻어졌다.

Green layer, Enteromorpha prolifera, is regarded as one of important materials for food processing in Korea. The acidic water-soluble polysaccharide (CPC-PS) isolated from the alga with hot water and cetylpyridium chloride was mainly constituted of rhamnose, xylose, uronic acid and sulfate. To determine the glycosyl-linkages and positions of sulfate by methylation, the CPC-PS was reduced and/or sulfates. A marked increase of glucose content in the reduced polysaccharide indicated that glucuronic acid was a major sugar in the polymer and sulfation was deduced to occur on O-3 of rhamnose and O-2 of xylose. According to the methylation analysis of the native, reduced, desulfated and reduced-desulfated polymers, CPC-PS mainly composed of 1,4- and 1,2,3-linked rhamnose 3-sulfate, 1,4-linked xylose 2-sulfate, 1,4-linked xylose and 1,4-linked glucuronic acid. Minor 1,4-linked rhamnose and 1,4,6-linked galactose residues were also detected.

A gene coding $endo-{\beta}$,-1, 4 glucanase from Actinomyces sp. KNG40 and phytase from Hansenula polymorpha were cloned into Esherichia coli JM101 by using E. coli/Lactobacillus shuttle vector pNZ3004 and pNZ123. The plasmid p3PS(1-4) and p123(1-4) have slpA promoter and slpA signal sequence. So, I constructed expression vectors, p3PS(1-4)Endo, phy and p123(1-4)Endo, phy. These constructed vector was transformed in target host Lactobacillus gasseri and reutri. These transformed host expressed endoglucanase and phytase as extracellular fraction. In the enzyme activity of the same vector, host L, gasseri was higher activity than L. reuteri. This indicates that L. gasseri recongnize promoter and signal sequence very well.

Myeolchi jeotgals (MJs) were prepared with purified salt (PS), solar salt aged for 1 year (SS), and bamboo salt (BS) melted 3 times at 10% and 20% (w/w) concentrations, and fermented for 28 weeks at $15^{\circ}C$. BS MJ showed higher pH and lower titratable acidities than the other samples because of the alkalinity of bamboo salt. Lactic acid bacteria counts increased until 4-6 weeks and then decreased gradually, and were not detected after 20 weeks from MJs with 10% salt. Yeast counts of PS MJs were higher than those of BS and SS MJs. Bacilli were detected in relatively higher numbers throughout the 28 weeks, like marine bacteria, but archae were detected in lower numbers during the first 10 weeks. When 16S rRNA genes were amplified from total DNA from PS MJ (10% salt) at 12 weeks, Tetragenococcus halophilus was the major species. However, Staphylococcus epidermidis was the dominant species for BS MJ at the same time point. In SS MJ, T. halophilus was the dominant species and S. epidermidis was the next dominant species. BS and SS MJs showed higher amino-type nitrogen, ammonia-type nitrogen, and volatile basic nitrogen contents than PS MJs. SS and BS were better than PS for the production of high-quality MJs.

Objective : This study aims to determine whether gamma knife radiosurgery (GKR) improves survival in patients with recurrent high-grade gliomas. Methods : Twenty nine patients with recurrent high-grade glioma underwent 38 GKR. The male-to-female ratio was 10 : 19, and the median age was 53.8 years (range, 20-75). GKR was performed in 11 cases of recurrent anaplastic oligodendrogliomas, five anaplastic astrocytomas, and 22 glioblastomas. The median prescription dose was 16 Gy (range, 10-24), and the median target volume was 7.0 mL (range, 1.1-15.7). Of the 29 patients, 13 (44.8%) received concurrent chemotherapy. We retrospectively analyzed the progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) after GKR depending on the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status (PS), pathology, concurrent chemotherapy, radiation dose, and target tumor volume. Results : Starting from when the patients underwent GKR, the median PFS and OS were 5.0 months (range, 1.1-28.1) and 13.0 months (range, 1.1-75.1), respectively. On univariate analysis, the median PFS was significantly long in patients with anaplastic oligodendroglioma, ECOG PS 1, and target tumor volume less than 10 mL (p<0.05). Meanwhile, on multivariate analysis, patients with ECOG PS 1 and target tumor volume less than 10 mL showed improved PFS (p=0.043 and p=0.007, respectively). The median OS was significantly increased in patients with ECOG PS 1 and tumor volume less than 10 mL on univariate and multivariate analyses (p<0.05). Conclusion : GKR could be an additional treatment option in recurrent high-grade glioma, particularly in patients with good PS and limited tumor volume.
